Incredibly sweet spot smack dab in the center of wine country! We parked our 55 Flying Cloud no problem after turning into the property (good heads up on spotting the entrance - see the pictures they post on that..). Outstanding value for a boutique campground with full hookups! Would return in a minute.

1 night at Rosemead 12 miles to DT Los Angeles

Host was very quick to respond to my questions, kind, and accommodating. We just needed a nearby last minute place to park our campervan while visiting friends in town. Host responded quickly and we were glad to have that peace of mind! We have a Ram Promaster 2500 high roof van (156" wheelbase) and fit fine down the driveway. It is a little tight and steep so make sure you are comfortable with your driving capabilities and are within the recommended size range for camping at this site. They are doing some construction to improve the site so there are some construction vehicles there, but nothing in our way. There were other campers when we stayed and everyone was quiet, kind, and respectful. There are also a lot of RVs being stored at the site. We didn't have a problem with this, just needed a good spot to sleep. It is an urban area so there is a little road noise, occasional dog barking, etc but nothing too disruptive, we slept fine in our van. There are nearby street lights on all night so make sure you have curtains or window covers. Overall we enjoyed our stay, just needed somewhere to park last minute for 2 nights and Richard was responsive and accommodating! Great price for the location and having amenities like a bathroom, water, etc.

Wonderful stay with the kids. Arrived midday and called Jim (as instructed on the website). There was only one other camper so he gave us a choice of the remaining sites. I had my two young kids so he recommended one of the sites next to a big open area for them to play and roam. We had a great time meeting all the animals and exploring the camp. This place is truly loved and cared for by Jim and it really shows!!!! Very family friendly and I felt super safe the entire stay. We will be back with husband and son next time.

Weekend Trip to Skyrocket Ranch

Dear John and Jennifer, My cousin Wendy and I had an amazing weekend at your property! We had so much fun exploring the area—playing in the creek, picking fresh fruit, and meeting the chickens (and, of course, Beyoncé the rooster!). Our glamping experience was absolutely delightful. Waking up to the ducks on the pond, spotting a turtle sunning itself on a log, and seeing a crane (or heron) perched in the treetops were such special moments. We also enjoyed watching hawks and even a vulture soar above—it was truly peaceful to be surrounded by nature. You provided all the necessary amenities for a seamless and comfortable stay. The Keurig, microwave, and mini-fridge made cooking effortless, and we loved gathering around the firepit in the cozy chairs. The glowing tent with electronic candles created such a charming ambiance, and the space heater was a thoughtful touch for added warmth. One of our favorite features was the outdoor shower—having on-demand hot water while gazing up at the oak trees and listening to the birds and ducks was an unforgettable experience. But what to do with the separate lower area, bordered by a seasonal stream lined by cottonwoods and big leaf maples? Cottonwood Creek Camp was the answer. Located in the heart of Temecula Valley Wine Country, you'll be minutes away from 50 wineries. Situated down a quiet rural lane, and secluded by lush California pepper trees, your glamping spot is an ideal getaway for wine lovers who prefer to get away from the city hustle. The camp area has seven spots that can be occupied by other glampers, and has a common use firepit with Adirondack chairs for those who want to compare notes about their wine tasting adventures. Plenty of onsite parking. In the morning, grab your coffee and step outside to watch the hot air balloons drift overhead. During the day, sample local vino from the 50 nearby wineries. In the evening, nosh at one of the great restaurants in Old Town Temecula, and then return to camp for sunset views and fireside relaxation. You should know that there are two free-roaming Blue Heelers who live on the 5-acre property and make regular visits to the camp area. Visiting dogs that socialize well with other dogs are welcome by us and by Molly and Taz as well, but please be honest with yourself and us about your dog's temperament, and book elsewhere if there is ANY chance of canine conflict with our very energetic pups. Also, Molly does not trust very small children (we think there was an incident), so if you have small children, we ask that you keep them from interacting with our Heelers.

With 160 acres, there is lots of room for your large group to spread out or find a more private site to seclude yourself! Set up your campsite and park your vehicle at any of our developed sites that have a patch of turf, picnic tables and fire pits (grills available). Flushing toilets, pits toilets, potable water, and showers on site. The 40 minute hike to the Deep Creek Hot Springs is well worth the effort, and there's so much more natural beauty to see as you explore miles of hiking and OHV trails nearby and right on the property. The creek water in the Deep Creek canyon flows all year around, as does the hot spring source water that feeds the 6 creek-side hot pools, ranging in temperatures between 90F-108F. Weather can be extreme at times, with Winter temps ranging from 20*F to 40* F, and Summer temps reaching 112F+. The hike to the Deep Creek Hot Springs is fairly steep and can be difficult for some people, especially in warm weather, so everyone’s physical fitness needs to be considered when deciding to hike to the hot springs with pets, children, elderly people, or out-of-shape/over-weight people in your group. Although children are permitted on the property, we do not recommend bringing them due to occasional nudity that may be seen in the area and the degree of difficulty for the hike. In order to be prepared with the correct gear to make the hike to the hot springs and know the USFS rules that apply to the area, please educate yourself before coming by visiting the USFS website page for the Deep Creek area. Know before you go! The Deep Creek Hot Springs Camp is part of the historic Bowen Ranch property that was homesteaded in 1924. This property has been the camping and parking area for the Deep Creek Hot Springs for nearly a century. The Bowen Ranch property is under new ownership as of 2020 and we welcome everyone to come visit! Generally, we always have sites available and reservations are not necessary, but reserved sites are located in a more private area set aside for Hipcamp reservations with separate facilities from the general camping area. Learn more about this land:A vast expanse of oak trees, California Junipers and rugged, mountainous land running with jackrabbits, quail, and owls that is just 3 miles from Vazquez Rocks and the PCT, our ranch transports you. From the tent campsite, you look out for 20 miles and see nothing but nature across small mountains and canyons all the way to the peaks of Angeles National Forest in the distance. The campsite is a large flat area. For a trailer or RV it's a great place to park and the view is towards wide open spaces. With a tent or if you want more pure nature, you can drive out onto the property further towards the small ruin of the old homesteader's cabin or beyond. The property has a long-abandoned gold mine and circular arrastres where miners used mules to break up rocks. Nearby Acton has pick-your-own apples/pears/peaches at Bloom farms. We are at 3000 feet with strong sun during the day and cool mountains air at night. The camping is set away from structures, but if you want to stroll, closer to the ranch buildings, we have friendly small goats you can visit if interested and horses and a donkey to say hello to across the corral fence.

Within a 10 acre range of sloping hillside, majestic rock formations and lush exotic landscape, you can find your own ideal camp spot or choose one of our leveled spots, already cleared of dry brush and ready for above ground standard tent camping. Dogs allowed on leash only and be familiar with Southern California's indigenous wildlife proper protocol, when accompanied by your canine. The camping area resides on the North side of the Via Cordoniz access road, starting at Deadwood Dome site and the Detour N De Luz sign at top of staircase, ranging North West 3/4 of the mountain up, and 10 acres left. Please be mindful of the property markers, and respect our neighboring property lines. You are responsible for your own fitness in hiking the inclining trails and staircases. Hiking or walking sticks are highly recommended. A shared cooking area, has been cleared, providing use of the propane gas grill (campers must supply own 1 lb green canister), standard size cooler, small fire extinguisher, and carved or cut seating. Nearby, a shared pit toilet with a small 5 gallon black solar shower bag, shower toga, toilet paper, glass wash basin and pouring bottle-for minor freshening, vanity mirror and 5 gallon water jug, refilled daily- or more frequently, if needed, all located in a pallet wood stall. A narrow privacy tent- for a changing room (complimentary) and two additional 3 persons sleeping tents are both folded and stored at the cooking area, for guest use. Please leave an additional $5 per night, per sleeping tent used and fold back neatly, before check out. Dignity and respect for the experience of every Being, is of paramount importance.
