1 night at Explore the Trinity Alps!

We took a road trip around NorCal in a 32' RV. Dawn's site provided a perfectly located stop point for us on 299 with full hookups. The site is easy to get in and out of, everything is meticulously well-maintained. There is a cafe just across the street (walking 1 min) with great coffee (and food) that they roast and distribute themselves. The owners are very welcoming and will help answer any questions you may have. And of course you're right on the Trinity river, so bald eagles and deer crossing river is what you'll get.

Weekend Trip to Radio Ranch Camp

It was a great upgrade to our usual backcountry camping. I truly appreciate that they implement a sustainable and eci friendly camping experience. Truly impressed with how RR is so blessed with nature around from the waterfalls relaxing sound to the actual hike to the falls and the story behind RR. What a gem. 💖

4 nights at Perch Riverview Glamping

We LOVED this place! Every detail has been thought of, down to the range of utensils provided in the kitchen and the toiletries provided in the gorgeous bathhouse. We were easily able to do all of our cooking on-site and freshen up after a long day hiking. The heater and cozy bedding kept us warm at night even through a rain/windstorm! Honestly, the listing photos don't do it justice! It is a little slice of heaven, complete with rope swings and a hammock. We highly recommend this spot for a true GLAMping experience that still feels connected to nature. While not immediately near some of the must-see sights in the region the beautiful mountain drive to Redwoods National Park and the coast didn't feel like a hassle at all. We are definitely planning to come back during warmer months to take full advantage of this beautiful place!

I had such a lovely stay with my kiddo this past week! Both hosts were so kind and generous.. even greeted us and helped us to our campsite when we arrived after dark. Had great communication throughout our stay- very sweet. Definitely recommend the river access super nearby, down by Candystick Park!

The cabin was amazing the ambience and the functionality of the cabin was better than ever expected! The outdoor kitchen was very useful and they provide everything you’d need! they gave us extra wood for the fire, and even fixing the water heater when it ran out of battery! Overall the stay was amazing and decently plan to stay again!

The cabin felt very homey. The scenery was very pleasant and peaceful. Ted and Emily were attentive and put together some recommendations for cool places to visit. When I went, it was raining (which was awesome), and plenty of wood was provided! 10/10 would come again.

Easy to find; clean; magical; cozy; secluded. This space was so sweet, cozy, and calm for a few-nights' stay! It was secluded, but also felt safe with neighbors nearby. The porta-potty was one of the cleanest I've seen, and the outdoor shower is perfect. It was very nice to have the heater and dehumidifier provided, as well!

Loved the night we spent at Wendy and John's farm! Although we arrived late, both Wendy and John were available for our needs. The camp site was perfect with a tent, firepit, bathroom and warm shower! We had the place to ourselves so the location on the property was also perfect.

Super beautiful site! a bit hard to find the driveway (make sure to turn as soon as possible after the bridge) the hosts were very helpful and for an extra $20 we upgraded from car camping to the Yurt and it was extremely spacious and warm :)

Lovely stay! Such a cute little cabin. Wonderful outdoor kitchen. Saw some cute banana slugs. Super convenient to town and easy enough to get to the redwoods which was why we were there. Ted and Emily were super communicative and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely return and would absolutely recommend. Thanks Ted and Emily!

Awesome cabin! Very nice cozy ambiance, especially in the evening and at night. We enjoyed the cabin just as much as we enjoyed exploring the redwoods. Wood stove is great, holds heat and burns pretty slow once it gets going and is tamped down low.

It's such a cute little cabin with a fireplace, outdoor kitchen, toilet, and a hot shower🚿👌🏾, the perfect spot for couples. The hosts are very friendly and accomodating as well!

My aunt and uncle bought the property in 1947 from itsfirst European settler, Paolo Gabrielli, who immigrated in early 1914 from northern Italy with slips of his grapevine in the lining of his coat. (The grapevine still grows over the back deck.) What can you expect? Quiet, beauty, birdsong, ocean roar, widely spaced campsites (only 5 on the 5 acres set aside for camping), extra stuff to purchase if you need or want it (fresh bread, soup, cobbler). Free firewood, local tips on travel and where to hike or what to visit. Or total solitude. Bring your (most non-cattle-chasing breeds) dogs if you wish (males must be neutered). Starlink internet. Walk to the beach of our wild ocean along a no-shoulder country road. We have no visible neighbors, no ambient light or sound. There are several bars/a wine bar/and a historic saloon that's as old boy as it was in 1890. A music venue in a restored 19th century church has amazing acoustics and attracts international talent as a top-notch venue (sessions are filmed for PBS) midway between Portland and San Francisco. The Fairy Forest

The Fairy Forest is 4 acres of redwood trees one mile from the magical city of Trinidad, CA. People have been camping in our meadow since the 1950's, and I'm happy to carry on the tradition, by opening it up to you. There was a fire on the property in 1901 which left the burnt out hollow stumps which you'll see by the shower. There's one old growth redwood on the property, behind the glampy tent, but everything else in roughly 120 years old. Every year we try to make your glamping experience better and better. This year, we've added an artisan picnic table, built on site, and some solar lights leading to the shower. Outdoor sink and cook space is next on our list! There used to be two campsites on our property, but we closed down one of them to give guests in the glampy tent exclusive usage of the outdoor shower and porta potty. We are also renting out our cabin this year, which has been our home for the last 3 years. There's 10 local beaches to explore in the area, great little restaurants and businesses, and countless trails- including Strawberry Rock, which is right down the street from us. We're 19 miles away from Orick, which is the gateway to Fern Canyon (make a reservation in advance) and all the trails with old growth redwoods. And we're 16 miles from Arcata, a vibrant, colorful and creative city that is home to the first farmer's market in California, which is quite the experience if you find yourself here on a Saturday. Humboldt Redwoods- Into the Woods

Have it all and relax at our forest glen located in Southern Humboldt 5 miles up private dirt road (2 wheel drive OK- but sports car height is not good ( IE not a BMW or Tesla)--higher clearance is best.) Our land is part of an old collectively owned by "back to the landers" group from the 70's. The parcel is over 500 acres, but our portion is about 40 acres. There is a large deepwater pond with a rowboat (and frogs) orchard, stream, and many hiking trails my husband created and dirt roads winding through the property. 420 friendly! Enjoy the birds in the morning and frogs on the pond at night from your well equipped tent with queen mattress and comfy comforters, sitting space, and wood counter for food prep. ( propane ok) No fires allowed at site but enjoy the large communal fire pit and terrace steps away. Our deep water pond (15 ft) is FULL and ready for warm summer swims. Wifi and electric for charging and an electric water kettle for coffee making is available at the communal space. EV charging is possible but slow off of our solar panels. Hiking trails on our 500 acre property and Lost Coast Trail at Shelter Cove Black Sands beach is 1 hour away. Ave of the Giants is 45 minutes away. We encourage 2 night stays as it is a bit of a trek to get here. Your hosts have everything you might need ( cooking wise) and can arrange for cooking equipment and utensils. Need Paella pans? Paella is our passion and we can offer a Paella Cookout customized to your dietary needs for an additional fee. We are 5 miles up a private dirt road ( 2 wheel drive is ok but caution to lower clearance vehicles) You will be deep in the relaxing forest. The 16 foot bell tent is quite large and can accommodate 2 more travelers. However they would need to provide sleeping bags and mats. Children under 10 not recommended The Chimes tent is slightly smaller 13 foot bell tent set on a platform 6 feet off the ground-- literally in the trees! We provide one citronella candle. Don't forget your headlamps. We are 35 miles (once on the pavement) to Lost Coast Trail and Shelter Cove. 20 miles to Ave of the Giants.
