Amazing place! Our kids call it camp wonderful and did not want to leave. All facilities are clean and cabin was perfect for our family of four. The setting is amazing and kid friendly. Roasted s'mores, walked the gnome trail(just ask), and watched the slugs. We will be back again.

This cabin is absolutely amazing, and the host is fantastic! It’s super clean, and the bedding is of great quality. There’s also quite a collection of teas, which is a delightful bonus if you’re into it. I would definitely recommend it!

Great location, an easy drive to all of the beaches, shops, restaurants and activities in the area. Yet, it's tucked away, in a private, redwood draped serene setting. The cabin is super cute and cool. Bring your fire starting skills, but fear not, the hosts will take great care of you if you have issues and they offer up firewood. Be sure to order up some eggs from their farm.

Entire property was gorgeous. LOVED The communal areas and amenities. Bathrooms and common areas were spotless. I tent camped and loved my site- clean, flat, and relatively private. All the cabins looked super cute as well!

Weekend Trip to Waterfall Camp

This was my first Hipcamp site ever and I was spoiled! It was like being in a fairy dream. I had rain and wind so I might recommend either of the other sites for better protection from the elements for tent campers like me. But, overall, I was very happy with my entire experience. I appreciate the Hosts” communication and seamless self check in process. The detail and love they put into this camping experience is truly remarkable!

Possibly the nicest campsite we’ve stayed at. Shay and Liz were super communicative and helpful prior to our arrival. The site itself is set up with everything you might need–dry firewood and kindling, kitchen with sink and counter space, fire ring with grill and tools, chairs, blankets, and a common area with horseshoes, corn hole, badminton and clean toilets and showers (with hot water!). Really well done and inviting and comfy. We’ll be back!

3 nights at Coastal Ridge Cabin

Bob’s place was perfect for us. A unique rustic feeling cabin nestled in the redwoods complete with outside bathtub and shower (shower inside as well), a sauna, and PLENTY of cooking materials including spices! We enjoyed the aesthetic outside and inside and especially the outside naps on the bed. Great proximity to beaches and Mendocino. The only problem… now I want an outside shower and bed at my place!! Lol!

Cabin 2 has a Dutch door and recycled redwood paneling on one exterior wall.

Weekend Trip to House of Trees

My partner and I stayed at House of Trees on a rainy March weekend after having to change our plans to go backpacking due to weather. House of Trees was a delightfully cozy place to stay for our visit to Mendocino. Janice was very friendly and helpful, the bed was super comfortable, bathtub fit both of us, and overall the place was tastefully appointed and convenient.

Weekend Trip to Many Moons Homestead

Lovely little refuge near Mendocino. Great place for a couple to get some privacy in their own little cabin with a woodstove. Very rainy or misty while we were there, but the woodstove kept us warm & cozy. Nice table big enough to play board games on near the fire. Comfy couch and tons of fantastic books. Hosts were responsive and very nice; Madeline & Trevor & their young family are friendly and welcoming. Romantic, relaxing, relatively private and highly recommended! I'd choose this over a Bed & Breakfast any day.

Shay and Liz have created a beautiful and tranquil space with many unexpected and thoughtful personal touches throughout the camp. It is obvious that they truly have considered the comfort and convenience of their guests in plan and design. We really enjoyed our stay, and look forward to coming back.

Lovely private spot with a lot of tree coverage. This is probably the most private spot of the camp sites with the Fisherman's shack being the second most private. We loved falling asleep to the sound of the ocean, our stay was great!

This spot is slightly more exposed than the tent site, which makes sense since you can drive your camper right in! It's well maintained and still fairly private as you face into the wooded area. Loved the fire pits and the peaceful vibe!

Cabin 6 has two luxurious queen beds with heated bed pads, cozy bedding, stunning woodwork, electricity and even a heater for the cold nights.

We offer affordable accommodations, organic gardening, and education on plants and living simply. We welcome your interest in veganic garden and diet, orchards, and forest trails. Our organic vegetables and fruit may be available if you wish to bring some of our farm to your table. Our garden is reduced this time of year but we may still have something to share. We can offer you a quiet and peaceful place without social pressures if you wish to "decompress" from city life, jobs or any stressful times. Or come to the communal fire near the bathhouse for sharing some time with family and the few other campers that may be there. Bringing your own wood is welcome. The coastal bike and hike trails are many. From South of Ft Bragg to the Sand Dunes near Ward Ave. you can travel over 7 miles one way and go down to quiet little beach coves along the way. Meadow Farm is a nonprofit 501c3 with goals of coastal food security, disaster preparation and sheltering, carbon sequestering and forest restoration. We offer native plant tours on or off site with advance notice. We like our dog companions! Two McNab collies, Moxie and Shama live here and may bark at first...still very friendly and social with people and other dogs.. There are several dog friendly off-leash areas such as, Noyo North Harbor Beach, Seaside Beach and dog parks in both Ft Bragg and Mendocino. Our farm is dog friendly tho we wish pets to be kept close, must be neutered and friendly to other dogs and people. Please be sure to bury or bag the waste. Speaking of waste, Meadow Farm strives to reduce waste by avoiding plastic as much as possible, recycling what we can and composting our veggie scraps. Please bring your own waste receptacles and take them along when you go. We take ours to the Caspar Transfer Station which is open Saturday through Wednesday... the location and hours can be found online. Our water is from a deep well and we periodically test it for bacteria. It is cold and delicious. Our irrigation pipes that have spigots and hoses at each camp are safe for drinking, cooking and cleaning. Our solar pump moves water into storage tanks that provide all the water to the farm. It is very important that the water valves on your camp spigot is turned off (gently please) to avoid losing 2500 gallons of water in a short time. If you see a leak or break in a line please contact us immediately. There are also water shut offs for the camps on the west side of the Farm House if you are unable to reach us right away.. When doing dishes we request that you use the strainer to catch food particles from the dish water and toss them in your trash or compost bucket. If you have vegetable waste let us know and we can pick them up for adding to the worm bins or composting piles. We make worm "tea" fertilizer and rich soil from these offerings. No animal products or oil please... a few egg shells are okay. We do have the usual wildlife though we haven't had problems with them. Ravens will raid your camp if food or bags are left out while you are away. From dusk to dawn keep children and pets close. We coexist well here with the critters...and glad to have them. The building has a wooden stove and propane wall heat. We also have a fridge, stove for cooking and propane wall heater inside the yurt. There is a futon that sleeps 2 plus a kids size bed, but please bring sleeping bags or bedding. You can also put up two tents next to the yurt for more sleeping. We have now added also an attached kitchen and bathroom to the yurt so we have an indoor shower and full kitchen! There is a detached bathroom with a maintenance free composting toilet and simple outdoor kitchen. You will have access to cooking utensils and cookware, camp stove, and fire pit. There is a solar system so you have access to electricity and wifi. The drive from Willits is 25 minutes, with only the last 5 minutes on a dirt road. You can do the drive in any car, unless the occasional snowy conditions. There is plenty of parking next to the yurt for easy unpacking.. To access the coast you do have to go back through Willits and use highway 20.

Many Moons Homestead

Situated on 2 acres, the old farmhouse, where our family lives is said to be one of the very oldest houses in Albion... built in 1865! When we got the place in 2018, it was in pretty bad disrepair and the land was a a jungle of brambles, holly bush, and tons of buried trash. Pregnant and feeling brave (also very naive), we dug into loving up the land and home. Here we are, nearly 6 years later, with 2 sweet little dudes climbing the old plum tree, a secret garden filled with all kinds of wild and cultivated edible and medicinal plants to enjoy. It makes our hearts really happy to care for this land and we love to share it with folks looking to slow down and connect with this beautiful place we get to call home. We view ourselves as just the current stewards of this beautiful place. This was home to the flora and fauna for hundreds of thousands of years before people, then home to the Pomo people for many generations, then a slew of immigrants and homesteaders, and now us. As our motto goes, This land, home, trees, and forest animals have been here for many moons before us; it's our greatest hope to be worthy stewards to ensure its health and vitality for many more.
