The Lovelight Ranch

The Lovelight Ranch is our 5-acre hippie paradise, centrally located in the Coachella Valley. We are near the amazing 1000 Palms Oasis and Coachella Valley Preserve for great day hikes and wildlife viewing, and also near the splendors of Joshua Tree and the high desert.  
  We are happy to offer fun & relaxing activity Experiences such as the Tepee Sound Bath experience,  DrumCircle and Didgeridoo experiences, Artistic Endeavor experiences. Sharing makes us Happy and we hope you will choose an Experience or two to enhance your visit and interests.

      We are within a half hours drive of Palm Springs, recently voted the hippest mid-sized city in the country  and Coachella, home of the Coachella and StageCoach Festivals and not so far from the ever amazing Joshua Tree Festival . 

We are also very near Sam's Hot Water Spa, a chemical free  hot springs soaking experience which is the perfect ending to a day of hiking, climbing or just sight-seeing.  We have a Pool & Deck , A Horseshoe Pit, Nice Shady Hangouts and plenty to look at in every direction.

We offer accommodations ranging from Elevated SkyDecks to SubTerrainian Glamping spots RV spaces as well as Basic Tensite camping . - Please check out our offerings for your Desert camping visits.

Finding Ground RV Camping

Joshua Tree National Park and it's surrounding area is Wild , Beautiful, and has spectacular Sunsets.

I live in a very quiet, rural,  neigborhood. This serene location offers endless panoramic views across the high desert, from Sand to Snow. Sunsets can be extraordinary. The night scenes are spectacular in a full moon. Hiking and walking trails abound. It is located 6.9 miles from the vehicle entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. If you are hikers you can enter the park half a mile from my property. The village of Joshua Tree is close by. There is water and a septic hook up at the site. The driveway  circles the house so you can back in or pull into and out of the RV space easily. The RV space is 60' x18'. It is flat. There is room for RV slides and outside furniture. 

The street leading to my property is paved. My driveway and your space is gravel. So be sure your vehecles have  4wheel drive and can traverse gravel without a problem.  I live in a small house about 30 yards from your parking spot. My lot is over 2 acres. You need to supply your own  electric. You can run a generator at most day times.  No charcoal grills or camp fires are allowed due to desert conditions. Adults may use  a propane grill or firepit as long as it is not left unattended when on. 

FIRE PITS are allowed if they are propane with a screen on top. You may not leave a fire pit unattended. It is quite windy here. A stray spark can cause a rapid fire. Dry Desert material may land on top of a sceen at any time starting a fire. 

There is good reception for Att and Verizon cellular phones. I am unable to provide internet at the RV space.

This invitation is for self-contained RVs, Travel trailers, or Vans with a bathroom. There is space for tent camping if accompanied by an RV. Campers must use the RV Bathroom. There is a $10 charge per night per tent. Dogs are welcome with an additional $7 per night, per dog. If you have  more than one vehicle there is an additional $10 dollar charge per night.

Multiple areas to pitch your tents, RVs, and trailers. Base camp has charging stations, shade, massage chair, blue tooth speaker for music, and big deck directly beside the wood stove fireplace.  The property is just few miles away from Walmart. I can prepare breakfast burritos for an additional fee. Please email with any additional questions! Best of luck and happy camping!

Rancho Capotista

Rancho Capotista is perfectly located in the desert of the coachella valley. Close to Palm Springs, Joshua Tree and the wonderful spas of Desert Hot Springs. Surrounded by conservation land, there are a lot of hiking and biking trails just across the road. The local Joshua Tree KOA is also right across the way so we get a lot of their over flow.Learn more about this land:Raw desert camping for tents, rv’s and trailers. Pick your spot anywhere on the property.  This is not glamping. Stay for the night and head out to Joshua Tree for some hiking!
