What a gorgeous and special place! The rooms are beautifully designed with endless interesting anrt and books to check out. The hot tub with a view is the perfect way to unwind, and I was lucky enough to hear great horned owls at night. Coffee and breakfast in the morning were an unexpected and lovely treat. Absolutely great place to stay!

2 nights at Herrick Vineyards Barn Yard

It was a real pleasure to stay here and so enjoyable that we stayed an additional night. The site was immaculate and all laid out very neatly and is well located to vineyards that are walking distance or a short uber into Healdsburg for the restaurants there.

Weekend Trip to Two Rock Country Farm Stay

I intended to stay for 2 nights, it turned to be 4 nights instead. I didn't want to leave this experience and return to the busy world. Life here was exactly what I was looking for.. serene, comfortable, quiet, feel safe, driving from the city was easy. Hosts were kind, responsive and respectful. I enjoyed everything about it. The RV was comfortable, I had everything I needed to make morning coffee, stove to cook, BBQ grill if I wanted to. My dog loved having a wide open space where he can run and explore. I love sitting by the pond and enjoy the firepit. I love fresh eggs less than 24 hours old from Debra's farm. I also got duck eggs and goose egg. The whole experience was awesome. I definitely will come back again. I felt comfortable, safe and relaxing. Thanks to Debra and her husband. For us it was just 2 humans and 1 dog but I can see it can be for a family with 2 kids.

We had an amazing time! The place is peaceful with stunning views all around. The Antic Room is absolutely gorgeous, and the bathroom feels like its own little art gallery—such a unique and beautiful space where you can also just hang out and relax. The hot tub is perfectly placed to soak in the surrounding nature, and at night, you can enjoy the stars from there—truly magical. Bill was super helpful and kind, and waking up to delicious coffee, fresh fruits, and cake was such a lovely touch. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to unwind and reconnect with nature.

Weekend Trip to Salmon Creek Ranch

We stayed in Site 3; note that this is not the redwood grove in the photos, as that is site 1! But Site 3 was great; it offered privacy, had a deck for a tent (if you prefer that) and was closest to the creek! The only thing is that the toilet is a farther walk, but it worked out fine. John & Lesley gave clear directions and we found our site with no issues! Also - you definitely need 4WD or AWD. It was a lot of fun driving down the path to the campsite! Would love to stay here again!

Weekend Trip to Moon Bear Lodge

We loved the tree house! We had such a magical time together here— from star gazing in the hot tub, to creature sightings (we saw a little fox and a skunk), drinking hot coco in the robes they provided, and soaking up the beauty of the redwoods and wild flowers! Jessica and her family were the most incredible hosts! They even sent us home with a bag of freshly picked Santa Rosa lemons. We had the most magical time and will certainly be back to this incredible oasis!

Weekend Trip to Delta Respite

Such a tranquil place for me and my dog to refresh and rejuvenate from burnout and do nothing. You can see and hear different birds from treetops to ground floor-owls, blackbirds, chickens and roosters. I have a harmless bird dog vizsla lab mix and he loved it so much. The chirping was very Snow White and relaxing to hear. We even got the chance to meet Winnie the pig who was so super sweet. We left the back gate and were able to walk and collect our thoughts as we bird watched and enjoyed the view of Mount Diablo in the distance. The perfect do nothing place! I wish we stayed an extra day longer. It was cozy for me and my dog. The hosts were lovely, inviting, kind, and friendly. My dog loved their dogs.

Weekend Trip to Estero San Antonio Wonderland

The camper was in a very peaceful, beautiful spot! The amenities at the farm stand were fantastic. The color of the egg shells were so pretty and the yolks were a deep orange. I would definitely stay here again, it’s close to a lot of great places and I appreciate the philosophy of the farmers (regenerative grazing, hedgerows, integrated pest management).

Great stay, good communication. Creek, backyard, and cedar tub were beautiful and so is the indoor space. Kitchen includes a fridge and microwave as well as countertop stove. Was perfect for my solo retreat 🙏

Weekend Trip to Salmon Creek Ranch

The campsite was fantastic! It was secluded, clean, and John was nice enough to let our group borrow a pot to use to cook chili! This campsite is great for larger groups as you can reserve more than one campsite. The meadow was great for stargazing and other activities. The trails were nice and had lots of wildlife. I would definitely recommend this campsite and would love to return sometime in the future.

Weekend Trip to Moon Bear Lodge

It's hard to know where to start, but it's easy to say that your time here will make it feel hard to leave. The land and the space the owners have created is the ultimate retreat. From the serenity circle with it's warm firepit, to the hammocks and swings where you can lay with a good book, or the coziest treehouse, where after you adventure up the ladder you get to wrap yourself in blankets and nap on a human-sized beanbag. They have a hot tub where you can watch the sun set behind the mountains, kayaks to adventure on the russian river, private yoga lessons, massage treatments if you need some relaxation, mountain bikes for the many local trails...the list goes on. The town is also absolutely adorable and just down the road. I would come back and definitely stay awhile.

The tiny house is well-built with all the basics you need. The heat worked perfectly (I was here in March with cool, rainy weather). My visit was short, but I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Sonoma County. It's in a great location to visit the coast, the redwoods, the wineries, or just bounce around from town to town. They even have a few nice little recommended itineraries to get you started on your adventures.

This was a perfect spot to cozy up in to explore Bodega Bay, Dillon Beach and the surrounding area. The setup has a lot of personality and care. The bed was super comfy. The grill setup was fantastic. This place is a gem worth visiting.

The Rio Nido Roadhouse has outdoor music on the weekends. Rockin the River is every other Thursday in Guerneville. The Monte Rio Variety Show just celebrated it 111th year to a sold-out crowd. Sugarloaf Ridge State Park Glamping

We have four lovely Glamping sites at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park and 25 miles of hiking trails, nestled in the glorious chaparral of the Mayacama Mountain Range and Sonoma Hills, deep in the heart of wine country. The cost is $150 per night on weekends (Fri and Sat) and $125 per night on weekdays (Sun-Thurs). There is a 2-night minimum stay required between Memorial Day and Labor Day. In our family-friendly campground, our tents are 16-Foot Canvas and come with a queen-size bed, futon lounge chairs (May be converted to twin beds), rugs, tables, lighting, and complementary firewood the first night. At no additional cost, we can add up to two twin beds to each tent upon request to sleep up to 6 people. 8 people max allowed at the campsite. The glamping sites include a picnic table, fire ring, outdoor seating, and room for additional tents if desired. All sites are easy walking distance to flush toilets and a bathhouse, with large, clean, coin operated hot shower rooms. There is no cell service in the park, but free WiFi is available at the Visitor Center. PLEASE NOTE that Bedding (sheets, pillows, blankets) IS NOT included in a standard rental, but is available as an add-on. Guests are encouraged to bring their own bedding whenever possible. If no bedding is added, we will assume a one-queen setup with mattress covers only. We kindly ask guests to provide at least 48-hour notice if bedding will be required. We will always try to accommodate last-minute requests, but we cannot guarantee this. PETS and SMOKING ARE NOT ALLOWED INSIDE our glamping tents! This is strictly enforced, and you WILL be charged a $150 cleaning fee for any violation of this policy. Parking: Your reservation includes parking for one vehicle. All campsite are located overlooking the Estero and close to the grass road to enter and exit the property. You will have access to some of our pastures for picnics and leisurely walks. When you check in we will give you directions to a few special places around the surrounding area and see if you would like some grassland finished beef, lamb, pork, eggs, or vegetables all grown or made on our ranch. We offer other care packages, ask us when you arrive (include, home made focaccia, sourdough bread, local cheeses, etc...) A liability waiver will be needed to be signed. This is primitive camping, There is water but it is not potable. so bring your own drinking water. It can get very windy out here in Spring and Summer. Come prepared. We have situated the campsites to be on the leeward side and as protected as possible. We try to leave the land better off than we found it and hope that you will share the same respect for the pristine beauty of this place. We are 10 minutes away from the quaint town of Tomale and 15 minutes from the town of Valley Ford. Dillon Beach is only 3.5 miles away. We are conveniently located off of US 101, therefore there may be some freeway noise, during commute hours especially. It has become like white noise to me, but it is only fair to mention it. We offer full hookups which consists of 50 amp & 110 volt electrical outlets, potable water, sewage dump. We also have a pigtail available (with a refundable deposit) if needed to convert 50 amp to 30 amp. Our sites are located one mile from Healdsburg plaza, the heart of Sonoma County wine country. Our town offers amazing wineries, fantastic restaurants, and quaint shops. It is an excellent place for wine lovers. There is a pre-prohibition winery right across the road called Foppiano. There are many other fabulous wineries are nearby. We are in an excellent location for outdoor adventurers. There are plenty of hiking trails near by as well as bike rental shops for those who enjoy trekking, and even a couple of rafting places right here on the Russian River. We are close to places like Armstrong Woods, Safari West, Getaway Adventures, The Sonoma County Fairgrounds which hosts the Summer Country Concerts among other events, Harmony Festival, Santa Rosa Full Camp; Half Marathons Camp; 5K, Sonoma Zip-line Adventures, and Much More! For you foodies there are Savor Food Tours, Relish Culinary Adventures in addition to all the incredible restaurants in town. There is so much to do and see in our beautiful part of the world. The stay area consists of four buildings, the main one being a super cozy tiny house built on a 16' trailer, filled with custom woodwork and unique details. It sleeps up to four and has a kitchen (sink, microwave/oven, mini fridge, and propane stove) and small dining area. Immediately adjacent is a luxury "outhouse" with full sized hot shower and a composting toilet. There is an additional converted farm shed with a pull out couch and TV to relax comfortably indoors (the "rec room"). The outdoor area consists of a breakfast patio and large barn with couches and dining table. We are just starting to develop the property as a working farm. Currently we have a dozen chickens, 30+ fruit trees, and cows pasturing in the main field. The location is fantastic for exploring the area. In the middle of wine country, it's only a thirty minute drive to the coast or to the redwoods, and one hour from San Francisco. Plus easy access to the bike path leading to both Santa Rosa and Sebastopol. Weather issues: The tiny house has heating but no AC, which is not normally an issue unless daytime temperatures are in the mid 90s or higher. Summer nighttime temps are usually in the 50s and the space cools rapidly with windows open. The rec room has both heating and AC, which can be slept in in the case of extreme temperatures. In the winter, heavy rainfall can make the stay unpleasant as you need to move outside frequently between buildings.

The one-room cabin has a bed and clawfoot bathtub with hot water offering a peaceful escape on our 5-acre tree-lined farm. Here you can listen to birdsong instead of the sounds of the city. This is an ideal cabin for birdwatchers, writers, plein air painters, nature photographers, stargazing, windsurfers/kiteboarders, meditation, or some stress-free, peaceful reset time. The private cottage has a refrigerator, microwave, compostable dinnerware, drinking water, and a coffeemaker with coffee. It is air-conditioned in summer and heated in winter. Pets are welcome and free to enjoy being off-leash in the cabin's fenced yard. The hosts raise free-range chickens and bees on their farm and also conduct a nonprofit rescue and hospice for senior pets. Located within 45 minutes of the wine country and 2 miles from the coast, our property is 400 acres of rolling hills and redwood groves, with a creek running along its base. With miles of trails meandering through quiet woods and meadows, you will be able to revel in the tranquility of a private preserve, without sacrificing easy access to some of Sonoma County's most famous attractions. A hundred years ago, this land was used to graze sheep. Remnants of the old fence lines can still be seen in places, along with old cement troughs. Since then, the land has been left to its own devices, passing through many hands, most famously owned by two brothers in the 1980's who built a truly amazing tree house in the forest which has been featured in several magazine articles. It was revamped and updated in 2016 by a master craftsman, using fallen redwood logs found on the property and is now a unique structural work of art, available for overnight stays. We produce 100% grass fed, dry-aged beef on our certified organic pastures and have a store on site if you would like to purchase delicious steaks, ribs, ground beef for hamburgers or some roasts to take home. Our cattle graze on the native grasses, never grain, and drink only water produced from our own springs. We also raise Kiko meat goats and produce pastured, certified organic duck eggs on a commercial basis. Whether it's surfing at sandy beaches, award-winning clam chowder, a wine tour, horseback riding or a hot air balloon ride you're after, you won't have far to drive if you make our ranch your base camp. You may see a family of deer appear suddenly, or a few Scottish Highland cows which we allow to roam freely over the property. There are over twenty species of wild birds that grace this protected spot, so bring your binoculars! A portion of your fee goes towards protecting native flora and fauna as part of our private wildlife preservation program. A limited number of private, widely spaced camp spots are available for visitors. The Eagles' Nest Treehouse (mentioned above) is very isolated and you may or may not even be aware that there are other people within miles of you. Just east of Napa Valley, Lake Berryessa is popular thanks to the water, with boating, water skiing, wakeboarding, jet skiing, sailing, canoeing, swimming, kayaking, and fishing. Several full-service marinas, boat launches, and boat rentals make it easy to get out there. Visitors can stay on the lake overnight in a houseboat, or choose from lakeside cabins, cottages, and several campgrounds around the lakeshore with campsites for tents, RVs, trailers, and groups. Camping options can also be found at nearby county parks, state parks, and RV resorts.

West Shore

On Berryessa’s northwestern shore, at the mouth of Putah Creek Canyon, the Putah Canyon Campground offers a boat launch and nearly 100 lakeview campsites for tents, RVs, trailers, and groups, with picnic tables, barbecue grills, water, and toilets. Further south on a peninsula, the Spanish Flat Campground offers 55 campsites for tents, RVs, and trailers, with picnic tables, barbecue pits, piped water, and toilets. The Spanish Flat Village Center offers stores, a deli, and a museum nearby.

South Shore

On the southwestern end, the Steele Canyon Campground offers a boat launch and 84 campsites for tents, RVs, and trailers. At the southern end, Pleasure Cove Campground is the largest around the lake with 140 tent, RV, and trailer campsites. Part of the Pleasure Cove Marina, amenities are plentiful and include flush toilets, boat rentals, cabin rentals, and a boat launch.

Within 30 miles of Lake Berryessa are several other camping options. Southeast of the lake, Lake Solano Park offers creekside camping, a seasonal pool, and a long, narrow lake ideal for non-motorized boating. To the north, Lower Hunting Creek offers a small campground on Bureau of Land Management (BLM) land near several OHV trails. West of the lake, Bothe-Napa Valley State Park features a Redwood campground. Southwest of Napa, Skyline Wilderness Park offers tent, RV, and equestrian sites and trails.
