Absolutely amazing! This was our third time here and each time this site has improved, improved, Improved. Beautifully green, cute animals, and a great big floof to wake up to. One of our favorites!

We loved it and would highly recommend it (even though I selfishly don't want to let anyone know about it - ha! ;-) For us, it was very convenient (as we live in Orange County), private and beautiful! It rained while we were there, but it didn’t dampen our mood. A rare find. We’ll definitely be back.

My 6 year old son and I camped in a tent in the Oak Grove and had a spectacular time!! Even in the rain it was incredibly refreshing and inspiring. I honestly don’t know why other people say this place is not stellar. I have super high expectations for the vibe and aesthetic of where we camp and this place is amazing. We hiked for hours and hours and took the scenery in. The animals are a joy. The staff at the camp store is so nice. You’re obviously not in the pristine wilderness in Fallbrook, but this feels as removed as you can get. 5 stars -we will be back!

I absolutely loved camping here! Everyone is so friendly and nice. Signs were easy to read and know exactly where to go. It felt so safe and cozy, for a solo traveler like myself that’s very important. Also, it gets DARK make sure you have a headlamp. My pup also enjoyed walking around and meeting the animals on this property. Already planning to come back!

We had a great time camping here. Communication was clear, the area is beautiful, and other campers were nice. We loved visiting with the goats, alpaca, sheep, and pig. The general atmosphere felt safe and calm. The fact that we saw some solo female campers and moms with their kids attest to the overall friendly vibe of this place.

What a pleasant surprise! We stayed one night in the van life camp area. It’s peaceful with interesting scenery. You could hear the mortars from the marine base, but it is not as jarring because they tell you to expect random explosion noise noises. My suggestion would be to take the route through the town of Fallbrook. If you are coming from the north, Apple Maps suggest getting off on Clinton Keith Road. While it’s a pretty drive, it’s very hilly, and very narrow. Take the extra time and go through Fallbrook. We will definitely go back!

We absolutely LOVED staying at the Splitrock farm! We camped at Shady Spring, we woke up to the soft bleating of the goats and all the animals were so sweet, dogs, pigs, goats, alpaca (shoutout to Pedro!) We can’t wait to come back with friends to enjoy more fun on the farm!

Christoper has done everything possible to make sure you have everything you need to have a relaxing time or go hiking on miles of trails. The kitchen is fully stocked, all the essentials. The dome is very comfortable and is easy to stay warm in the cold months is easy to keep warm. Curious to see how it is in summer. All you need to do is bring blankets and a sense of adventure. Make sure you keep a leash on your little dogs. the vultures knew he was there and were waiting. Haha. Get ready to poop outside! It’s surprisingly relaxing. Leave a rock :) Keep the tradition going. Thank you Christopher for making such an awesome place and letting us enjoy it.

Such a hidden gem!! Splitrock campground is amazing, and we absolutely loved that our site was so private! Enjoyed hiking around, exploring the whole area, especially the boulders- would definitely recommend!

The camp site was great. Plenty of options for what style of camping you want to do. The ability to have an actual camp fire was a very welcome experience for camping in California. We would definitely stay again.

5 nights at Bailes Farm

My friends & I had an awesome few days enjoying the views, fresh air, & glamping amenities. Christopher was a kind, communicative, & accommodating host. Hope to return!

This spot was awesome!! Hard to tell where you’re going if you show up at night but we woke up to an AMAZING view, with snails and goats! Will definitely be back again soon!

We had a family camping trip and everyone loved it! The views are spectacular, the animals are such a treat to have. Beautiful hikes around property. We enjoyed the quiet and peaceful area. So amazing to have this location so green and beautiful and so close to the busy cities. This is a place that our family will surely return to.

What a unique experience. My first time trying Hipcamp and definitely not my last. We booked van life for a quick overnight trip. We had site #10, which was tucked away in the back and felt more private than the others. Bathrooms are clean and the property is beautiful. Nice that they have a camp store with a few basics for sale, including really good local Kombucha. Can’t wait to go back and explore other sites and try baby goat yoga.
