Copaiba site at Thundering Hawk was the perfect private site for bringing pups and enjoying the peace and quiet without a long drive from San Diego! Lance was super, as was the camp manager! We had a blast!

2 nights at Wild Seeds Ranch

This is a really great camping ⛺️. The environment is beautiful, the management is orderly, and most importantly, the staff are very enthusiastic! There are many details that impressed us, such as the bicycles next to the tents, the lights dotted on the tents, etc. We and the kids loved this place and will plan to go back next time.

We had a great time! This was exactly the unwind we needed to get away from the terror that is late stage capitalism in the US. It was the most relaxing place!

We had such a great time here! The place is very well kept and has great communal areas to hang out. Our little cabin was perfect size to feel like we were camping without the work :) Would highly recommend for anyone wanting a little getaway

2 nights at Campo Nopalito

We loved our two night stay at Campo Nopalito! The whole experience was excellent. Jacob was super kind and showed us around the space on arrival. The A-frame we stayed in was super charming and we had coffee on the deck each morning! Gerdie the farm dog was a sweetie and we felt so welcome and at peace the whole time. The pizza oven and whole outdoor kitchen were a dream and we had everything we needed to make a perfect dinner and relax by the fire. The attention to detail with all the spaces and amenities was clear and we appreciated it so much. We’re already planning our next trip back!

1 night at Campo Nopalito

No words to describe this place! Jacob has turned this place into an unbelievable sanctuary with amazing energy. You can relax in the hammocks, enjoy the views of the green hills, visit some local wineries, make a pizza in his woodfired oven, sit by the campfire at your site, make friends, take an outdoor shower under the stars… I’ve stayed at a lot of Hipcamp ‘s, and this was by far my favorite. It truly is just a special place so do yourself a favor and go!

Weekend Trip to Glamping in San Diego’s Backcountry

Escape to nature without being too far from convenience of home! I usually go camping and sleep in tents so this stay was def glamping for me! Flushing toilets, hot showers, all that you need to cook hot dinner, plus a mattress to sleep on! Best of all, my dog was able to roam free and enjoy nature too! Jacob was super nice! Would def recommend!

We had an amazing glamping experience for two nights with our kids (ages 15 and 11) and our small puppy. Shantel greeted us warmly upon arrival, ensuring we were settled in and had everything we needed. The tents and beds were incredibly comfortable, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The heaters were a lifesaver, especially with the chilly late March nights. The kitchen was well-equipped with all the essential amenities, making meal preparation a breeze. Our kids loved the hammocks and tree tents, and thoroughly enjoyed the nearby hikes recommended by Shantel. The evening campfire was truly magical, with the hosts generously providing firewood to get us started. We can't wait to return with a larger group of family and friends!

Weekend Trip to Wild Seeds Ranch

Love my short stay-over at Wild Seeds. I arrived just after dusk and pulled onto the site. It was so tranquil - the evening birds, crickets and other sounds of nature - distant crows 🥰. I slept the best I have in weeks and woke refreshed. I appreciated their off leash policy for pets, my boy Chubbs enjoyed the roaming freedom. We didn’t stay long, but we did walk about before leaving sanding I’m ever in the area again, I’d definitely return to take advantage of a longer stay. Thanks! Also… I LOVED the winding roads and scenery leading up to our stay.

This was our first time 'glamping' and we had a great time. The host, Jacob, and his dog, Girdy, were fantastic. The amenities were perfect. If you want to have an easier time camping than roughing in, this is the place to go. We'll be back many times!

28 nights at Wild Seeds Ranch

This was a lovely experience and as a solo camper I felt very comfortable and safe. The amenities were so nice and offer additional convenience. Jacob and Gerdie the farm dog were the nicest hostess. I’m telling everyone I know to book a stay and will be back with my family soon. The directions and signs were helpful too. If you like pizza, bring your homemade pizza ingredients for the pizza oven. Cooked to perfection!

I had a nice stay there in cozy corner with my 14’ travel trailer. The spot is kind of secluded, but close enough to walk to the bathroom. It’s a very nice property with friendly folks gardening, playing basketball and doing yoga. However, it’s not too crowded and people give you your space. Also, the cost is very reasonable.

2 nights at Wild Seeds Ranch

Lexi and everyone there were very kind to me. It's far enough from the city to enjoy the mountains, but close enough to drive in for supplies. The environment created at Wild Seeds ranch is great for healing work through community, nature, & exercise . Especially when the creek is flowing and the giant trees are blowing in the wind, it brings a deep sense of peace and belonging to integrate the experience there. We really enjoyed the pull up bars and basketball court to help get the day started before adventures to the Ocean and city.

What a magical setting and Jacob and his family couldn’t have been nicer and more inviting. I’ll be staying again in the future. I also recommend adding the avocados. Maybe the best I’ve ever tried.

Beautiful views, quiet environment and comfortable beds! Host always checks on campers.

Had a great stay, site was exactly as pictured. The kitchen and bathrooms were great amenities and had everything we needed. Love that the location was close enough to the freeway/city, but far enough to feel like you were really camping.

My friend and I had a wonderful stay at Nopalito Farm! Family owned and operated, Jacob and family are welcoming and accommodating. My pup got to roam around the land freely which she absolutely loved. I stayed in the squirrel cabin and The room was fitted with comfy beds, a comforter plus a heavy wool blanket to keep us warm at night. There aren't outlets in the cabin but outlets in the kitchen area to charge. Bring an extra headlight for the night but they also provide a small lamp. Jacob also recommended the Wilderness Garden Preserve which was about a 20 minute drive and really worth it for a historical trail and hikes. We started our morning before hand with a local coffee bar called Rise and Brew. Would highly recommend! My friend and I mostly stayed on-site enjoying the scenery, painting, resting, and cooking. Jacob greeted us on the second day with a beautiful bouquet of wildflowers grown on the land. The land is abundant, full of energy. I will definitely be coming back

Love love love the cabana. Very friendly host who showed us around. The cabana is so cozy with very good bedding. The toilet is clean and shower has strong water pressure and very warm. Not sure if the dogs we saw were the farm’s or guests’ but they are lovely, animal-friendly is a great decision for this place. The kitchen could use a microwave but besides it had everything.

We had such a wonderful time! The weather was perfect, the flowers were blooming, and the sunset was magical! The yurt was perfect for our group and everything was very convenient. We will definitely be back!
