MOST GO! I loved my stay here!! Definitely add the "taste and tour of the winery" IT WAS SUCH AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE!! Aaron our host was so knowledgeable and passionate about his wine. I bought 5 of his bottles!! And I tried each one from the tasting. I also will be back to his seminar where you can create your own. His wine is vegan and organic. His wine is also naturally fermented which I LOVE! Will definitely stay here again but not in my camper van but in his yurts!

We had the absolute best time. Adam was a clear and helpful communicator the minute we booked the site. The cabin itself was definitely rustic - no bathroom and the only source of heating was a wood stove in the living room (so keep that in mind if you’re staying October-March; it gets cold at night and you’re throwing logs onto the fire every few hours). That said, the bed was arguably the most comfortable bed I’ve ever stayed on in a short term rental. The cabin had everything we needed, including beautiful trails, snow for the boys to sled on, and a chance to mentally reset and disconnect from our devices. There is WiFi near the main house so if you have to get online, there are no issues. I look forward to coming back with more friends and family.

What a wondeful place this is! Offering a calm hilltop spot with great scenery, it's a secure and comfortable secluded place to come relax and escape. My partner and I stayed here recently and even though it was storming a bit we had an amazing time; this winery/campsite is a lovely little nook settled in a beautiful area, it's a great central location for exploring the Fairplay area and we got a very reasonable price for our stay, would absolutely recommend. We really appreciate our time here, with such a friendly host, lovely countryside, and tasty wines, you can bet we'll be coming back and I'm certain you can guess where we'll be staying.

We had a fantastic stay at this campsite! It was exactly as described—private, peaceful, and surrounded by beautiful nature. Everything was well-maintained, and we truly appreciated the seclusion. A special highlight of our trip was the cider tasting session with Aaron. He was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, sharing fascinating insights about his vineyard, the cider-making process, and the nuances of growing grapes. It was such a memorable experience, and we left with a whole new appreciation for craft cider. Overall, we loved our stay and hope to return in the future!

Weekend Trip to The Reimer Pack Yurt

A perfect spot for a romantic snowy weekend! The woodfire stove kept us warm during a snowstorm, and the location was perfect for ski slope access and wandering the snowy woods. Jesika was thoughtful and communicative throughout our stay, clearing a parking spot pre-arrival and keeping the wood stove stocked. Thank you for such a wonderful stay - would 10/10 stay here again.

3 nights at The Reimer Pack Yurt

Our family had the perfect Christmas getaway at this cozy yurt. It comfortably slept the four of us, with plenty of room to relax and for the kids to play. The wood furnace kept us warm and toasty even as we were surround by a winter wonderland. The towering snowy trees and sparkling icicles made for a truly breathtaking white Christmas. We loved the peace and freedom to explore the beautiful grounds. It was a quiet, majestic retreat—perfect for reconnecting with nature. The walk to the yurt was close but a workout due to the snow. Sleds were provided to help carry our belongings, which was very helpful. However, we found we overpacked and could have brought less knowing we could dry clothes by the fire- which I would definitely recommend. The kitchen was well-stocked with an oven, stove, and refrigerator, making meal prep easy and enjoyable. For families, we suggest bringing disposable plates and cups since washing dishes in the small foot-pump sink can be tricky with a larger group. For couples or solo travelers, the provided dishware is more than sufficient. Our kids (ages 4 and 10) had a blast exploring and playing in the snow. They both called it the best vacation ever! Jesika was a wonderful host—friendly, responsive, and accommodating. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We highly recommend this yurt for a peaceful and unique getaway. We’re already planning to return in the spring or summer to see it in a different season!

Camp Nauvoo was originally bought by the LDS church in the 1960's for a girl's camp. The camp was owned by the Boy Scouts from 2011-2015. The Rose family bought the property in 2016 with the intent to continue the tradition of tent camping as well as creating opportunities for exclusive events i.e., group/family reunions, weddings and corporate events. We are a small privately owned small campground (20 sites only) located on the outskirts of Placerville. The property features 86.5 secluded Tahoe like acres with beautiful year-round Weber Creek. The camp sites are placed along the creek or the bluff overlooking the creek. We have traditional dirt camping, canvas tents on platforms, teepees and glamping tents for those that want the comforts of home. We are tent camping only with only one site that allows a small travel trailer or van. (#14) . We are dog friendly and allow dogs in all but 5 glamping sites. We do enforce camp rules especially our quiet time between 10 PM and 7 AM (please review). We’ve been told that we have a “family camp” vibe. We are a great place for families wanting a safe environment for their kids but also several group sites for those that want to hang out together with multiple families. We are also a great base site for those wilderness enthusiasts with access to all the El Dorado National Forest including Desolation but want a hot shower at the end of the day. We have a lodge that is stocked with games and a ping pong table. The lodge has a microwave, Keurig machine and a hot water kettle for those hot drinks (BYO Cups).We have several tables set up for those that want to eat inside as well as multiple picnic tables along the side of the lodge with overhead protection. We have electricity at the at the lodge for small appliances and charging phones. We have a compressor on site to blow up your air mattresses or float toys. We’ve been told that our bathrooms are the “cleanest” ever and have changing tables and diaper pails. We offer nice flushing toilets and hot showers! We have many extra amenities including a compressor to use for your air mattresses, For outdoor activities we have basketball, volleyball, pickleball and cornhole not to mention the playground with swing sets, seesaw and tractor play. We have hiking trails throughout the property. Our highlight is a camp fire bowl with bench seating with a stage to display camper talent which is perfect for the evening fire and roasting s’mores (bring the fixings). The creek starts out in spring looking like a rushing river featuring many fishing and swimming holes. As the summer progresses the water level falls but is still great for water play and fishing. We have propane BBQs (we provide the propane for BBQs) located throughout the property. We also have a propane grill and charcoal BBQ located in the common area for all to use. There is a dutch oven pit also in the fire bowl area. We do not allow wood fires at the individual sites but each site has a propane firepit for ambiance (not cooking) that requires you to purchase a 20 lb. propane cannister on site (add in extras) or pay cash on site. No internet service. There is limited internet only available for purchases at the setore. We require a 3 night minimum for the major holidays - Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day. We do not do checkins on Sunday but do allow camping over Sunday night. We do exclusive events so you may need to explore multiple weekends to find the right reservation. We are located in the foothills so we are a short hop to many local attractions that include river rafting, gold mines, wineries and historical towns with great eating establishments. Tahoe is less than an hour away and there a many hiking trails within 20-30 minutes. We have a limited number of items to rent i.e, tents, cots, camp stoves, etc. We rent a battery pack for those that use a cpap. We also have a small store on site for those items you forgot and a good selection of ice cream and ice. We take venmo or cash. CHECKIN IS BETWEEN 4 AND 8. IF YOU ARE COMING FROM THE BAY ALLOW 4 HOURS - YOU MUST LEAVE BY 3:00 IN ORDER TO ARRIVE DURING CHECKIN. There is the 'MUST SEE' yuba river nearby neavada city and grass valley, Greenhorn creek that runs into Rollins Lake very close to the property. Also the American River is another nearby beauty worth exploring. There is so much nature and beauty around our area. Frolic (property name) is a wild place with nature running the show. It is quiet and beautiful. Usually cooler because it is right on the water. The dock goes out to the 5 acre pound which is stocked with Bass. You will need to keep food inside of the Cabin/Sauna because we share the space with the animals that live here. The pond is shared with one other neighbor, so you may see other people playing on the pond or hear nearby activity through the trees. It's a great place to hang your hammock and bring a good book or birdwatch. This has been an adventure for me in Saying Yes to life and the rewarding challenges it brings. I fell in love with the huge grama oaks, the pristine pond and the feral overgrown everything. It has been a workin' progress and lots of time to pause and listen. The property is shaped like a pint glass running north to south, with a lovely bowl the pond sits in and an ancient meadow up behind the cabin. Up the hill, a hotter zone, more exposed with it's own beauty, where we live. On the occasion, one of us may come down to the pond for a swim, especially when it's too hot up top. Frolic has been a great teacher in reminding me to PLAY, relax and go with the flow. I hope you can find the same joy and rejuvenation here.

Overview

Straddling the California/Nevada border, Lake Tahoe provides a variety of camping options for intrepid Hipcampers. Looking for a summertime beach and sunshine experience? Aim for Zephyr Cove, which sits on the Nevada side of South Lake Tahoe. Stay at the RV campground for easy access to beach volleyball and boat rentals at the connected resort.

If you're more into sightseeing, head for Emerald Bay State Park on the California side. The big tourist draw here is Vikingsholm, a gorgeous Scandinavian-inspired estate that offers guided tours. There are also some out-of-the-way sights to see at Emerald Bay. Scuba divers can examine the remains of century-old boats and barges in the Underwater Area.

Lake Tahoe State Park sits in Nevada on Lake Tahoe's northern side. This one's good fun for campers who enjoy spotting wildlife. Take the beginner 2-mile trail around Spooner Lake to see waterfowl and osprey. There's also a beautiful view of Lake Tahoe available from the Sand Point Nature Trail.

Coming to the area in winter? Check out Camp Richardson on the California side for some killer cross-country skiing. There's no need to bring your own equipment, either. A full-service recreation sports center rents skis, snowshoes, tandem bikes and more.
