All A-Frames come with a grill and propane (see photos), and there is also a solar motion light on the deck.. Located 10 minutes by car from historic gold town Idaho Springs. River rafting when in season. We also have some of Colorado’s best fly fishing. Awesome hikes nearby (Gray's Peak). We are also close to st Mary’s Glacier, gold mine tours, great small-town restaurants (Marion’s pizza, Beau Joe’s) Hot springs within miles. We have portable toilets located close to the units Great views and there is an old mining cabin at the top if you find it please post your pictures! Georgetown lake 5 miles west I 70 Paddle boarding , train ride through the hills Grays Peak Fourteener 7 miles west I 70 St. Mary’s glacier 2 miles east I70 Hot Springs 2 miles east I70 All mining roads can be used for off-road purposes at your own risk. Be careful, very steep and rocky. ( Please note ) after tremendous amounts of work on the road, it seems 2wd cars cannot make it and this place is not suitable for those campers. Please do not block the road going up or the residence in the mobile home park on the front of the road. When coming from east exit 234 Dumont go left over I 70 to Stanley and then left behind the mobile home. Come from the west 235 go left under I70 at Starbucks turn right go 1/2 mile first right go back over I 70 to Stanley and harvest moon trail go left up behind mobile homes NOTE THIS IS LOOP DONT TAKE STEEP ROAD (GO TO THE LEFT).

Beautiful field, with open views on 3 sides and mountain views on the 4th. Right next to lovely Haystack mountain, home to a heard of elk. Quiet, big skies, low light pollution. 10 minutes outside of Boulder, but in the countryside :) We have an unused field of low grass on our property that is quite flat (1-2 degrees) and great for camping. Note for entering: Turn into the gravel driveway. Then turn left immediately after the cut-off phone pole (this is the largest gap to enter the field). There is a bit of a dip from the driveway into the field. Also, on the righthand side of the driveway is a pretty large rain-collecting hole/ditch -- keep an eye out for it.

No joke, it is wonderful. More like an hostel than a homeless shelter. And they have facilities!! Folks do it all the time if the shelter has the space that night. Showers, WiFi, even food. Harmony Ridge Farm

We purchase the land in 2010 with the hopes of building our dream home. We would come out and camp on weekends and soon built a small cabin from reclaimed materials. This barn style cabin is available to our tent camper when the weather is inclement so you can relax outside your tent...The west side opens up onto a deck with picnic table to provide sun/rain shade. In 2012 we were given a 12x20 ft addition to a mobile home that formed the basis of "the cottage" that we lived in "little house on the prairie" style for 2 years while we built our home from trees my husband cut down and processed on his portable sawmill. It took 2 years to build our home with the help of our 15 year old grandson and his friend who were taking a construction technology class for their homeschooling education. Other friends and family helped on occasion and we were finally able to move in just before Christmas 2014. In 2019 we started with Hipcamp providing rustic campsites and our little cottage. in 2021 our son moved into the cottage which made it unavailable for campers so this past year we got another bright idea and the "Tree House" was conceived and built! Come enjoy the incredible view from this little house in the trees! Queen sized bed, (you provide the bedding), camp chef propane stove (outdoors) and tiny wood burning stove inside to take off the morning chill! We sold the sawmill to our architect who is building his own home in Wyoming. What do we do with the large awning we put over the sawmill? How about another small cabin? This is a very rustic cabin with no real amenities other than two bed platforms where you must provide your mattress and sleeping bags. The bunk has a unique ladder and the views of Pikes Peak are awesome! Enjoy the gentle humming of the alpaca's as they greet you in the mornings or whenever. Our 9 alpaca's are friendly and very curious. The boys enjoy showing their stuff whenever we have guests! Come and get acquainted. We also have two guard dogs; 3 cats and 4 kitties--soon to be leaving; one rooster, 13 chickens. The sounds of the birds, cows in the meadow, early morning visits from the local deer and antelope herds; a star studded night sky while the trees whisper you to sleep at night . Incredible views of Pikes Peak, Longs Peak and Mount Evans on a clear day. Beautiful Colorado Sunrises and Sunsets! We hope for green pastures and wildflowers this spring/summer! Relax and read; play a few rounds of horse shoes; take a nice long walk around the perimeter of the property and get your miles in...

Little Scraggy Camp

Little Scraggy Camp is located on 95 acres of an historic 160-acre ranch that was homesteaded by our family in the 1890’s, and is on the National Register of Historic Places. This totally off-grid ranch is surrounded by Pike National Forest, yet has easy access from a paved road. We offer several accommodations and glamping sites, as well as sites for moderate sized RVs, travel trailers, truck campers, vans, tents, and hammocks. Additionally, we have sites for small groups (up to 14 people) and large groups (35-200 people). NEW FOR 2024: All campers can take advantage of our Hipcamper golf discounts at Little Scraggy Disc Golf Course. Across the road from Camp is our newly constructed 18 hole course with PDGA regulation baskets, a pro shop with LSDG discs available for purchase and loaner discs available for those wanting to try out disc golf. Potable drinking water is available from onsite 270-gallon water tanks. Portable toilets are only a short walk away from sites. Friendly dogs are welcome to enjoy YOUR campsite off leash, but please clean up after your dog. If your pet has any aggressive tendencies, it must be leashed. The camp has a 4 basket disc golf putting course with loaner discs provided. We also have a cornhole toss game at both the glamping/rv camp area and tent/rv area. We are an ideal basecamp for the casual or dedicated trail enthusiast. The ranch itself has several trails and easy trail loops to explore within and just outside of the ranch’s fence lines, with direct access to the 9.5-mile Little Scraggy Trail and Segment #3 of the Colorado Trail. Just 3.5 miles away is the Little Scraggy Trailhead, where you will find easy access for biking, hiking, or horseback riding on the many other trails of the Buffalo Creek area. Additionally, we have an extensive network of hiking and horse trails that avoid conflicts with mountain bikers. You might prefer rock climbing Little Scraggy or fishing the gold-medal waters of the South Platte River canyon below Cheesman Dam and the waters near Deckers. For a day trip, Wellington Lake is only 30 minutes away for no-wake water sports. Many people enjoy kayaking on the North Fork of the South Platte downstream from nearby Buffalo Creek. This is a working ranch where we raise and train horses and ponies. Our particular interest is in carriage driving, and we offer driving experiences upon request. Our site called Mountain Horse Camp, provides 3 individual porta-panel horse corrals. There is limited cell service.

Counterpath: Urban Oasis

Welcome to our charming 2-acre farm nestled in East Boulder with a view of Long’s Peak. Just minutes from town - near walking trails, a bike park, shopping, and restaurants. A great pitstop on your way to or from the mountains. We have a 4 meter Glamping tent complete with a queen sized bed and rocking chairs, as well as spots in the meadow for RVs and camping tents. We limit the meadow to 5 small groups so there always remains plenty of open space for everyone. Our goal is to offer you a peaceful and affordable place to rest. The most affordable in all of Boulder! We have a community fire ring, big stacks of free burn wood and kitchen tables. We have well water to offer up by the house, but I wouldn’t drink it without purification… makes for a great cold outdoor shower. We have a HoneyBucket (toilet) tucked away in the bushes. It is pumped weekly and cleaned daily. We have fresh eggs! The chickens free range during the day, so please keep an eye on your dogs… leash if necessary. Our gals won’t run away. THE GOOD: *Easy in and out location *Most affordable rates in all of Boulder. *Beautiful view of the Longs Peak. *Lots of sun *Summertime creek on the property. *Fresh eggs!!! *Tintypes! *Community campfire with free firewood THE BAD: *Daytime road noise (pretend ocean waves??). *Limited shade. *Total RV length 40 feet - Truck AND Trailer - due to a steep and winding entrance and exit. *Good Morning Rooster We can handle RVs around 40 feet in TOTAL LENGTH - truck and trailer. It’s a big field, but a narrow, winding and steep ramp to get in and out. If you are a nervous driver, perhaps choose another place to rest your head. If you are a confident driver with towing experience, you can probably even go bigger. No designated spots. Please feel free to park anywhere you’d like while leaving enough room for other campers. It is flattest along the fence by the pond - leveling boards are stacked up in the field to borrow. Please note there is no access to the pond itself. It’s our neighbor’s property. Alternatively, there is a $22 place up near Loveland, a $36 farm in Longmont, and a van-only spot in Evergreen for $33… The local homeless shelter is also an option if you are car camping. No joke, it is wonderful. More like an hostel than a homeless shelter. And they have facilities!! Folks do it all the time if the shelter has the space that night. Showers, WiFi, even food. It’s right next to the Police station, so fairly safe. The streets aren’t level, but neither is our field! Great for vans, not so great for larger RVs or trailers. Beautiful field, with open views on 3 sides and mountain views on the 4th. Right next to lovely Haystack mountain, home to a heard of elk. Quiet, big skies, low light pollution. 10 minutes outside of Boulder, but in the countryside :) We have an unused field of low grass on our property that is quite flat (1-2 degrees) and great for camping. Note for entering: Turn into the gravel driveway. Then turn left immediately after the cut-off phone pole (this is the largest gap to enter the field). There is a bit of a dip from the driveway into the field. Also, on the righthand side of the driveway is a pretty large rain-collecting hole/ditch -- keep an eye out for it.

Harmony Ridge Farm

We purchase the land in 2010 with the hopes of building our dream home. We would come out and camp on weekends and soon built a small cabin from reclaimed materials. This barn style cabin is available to our tent camper when the weather is inclement so you can relax outside your tent...The west side opens up onto a deck with picnic table to provide sun/rain shade. In 2012 we were given a 12x20 ft addition to a mobile home that formed the basis of "the cottage" that we lived in "little house on the prairie" style for 2 years while we built our home from trees my husband cut down and processed on his portable sawmill. It took 2 years to build our home with the help of our 15 year old grandson and his friend who were taking a construction technology class for their homeschooling education. Other friends and family helped on occasion and we were finally able to move in just before Christmas 2014. In 2019 we started with Hipcamp providing rustic campsites and our little cottage. in 2021 our son moved into the cottage which made it unavailable for campers so this past year we got another bright idea and the "Tree House" was conceived and built! Come enjoy the incredible view from this little house in the trees! Queen sized bed, (you provide the bedding), camp chef propane stove (outdoors) and tiny wood burning stove inside to take off the morning chill! We sold the sawmill to our architect who is building his own home in Wyoming. What do we do with the large awning we put over the sawmill? How about another small cabin? This is a very rustic cabin with no real amenities other than two bed platforms where you must provide your mattress and sleeping bags. The bunk has a unique ladder and the views of Pikes Peak are awesome! Enjoy the gentle humming of the alpaca's as they greet you in the mornings or whenever. Our 9 alpaca's are friendly and very curious. The boys enjoy showing their stuff whenever we have guests! Come and get acquainted. We also have two guard dogs; 3 cats and 4 kitties--soon to be leaving; one rooster, 13 chickens. The sounds of the birds, cows in the meadow, early morning visits from the local deer and antelope herds; a star studded night sky while the trees whisper you to sleep at night . Incredible views of Pikes Peak, Longs Peak and Mount Evans on a clear day. Beautiful Colorado Sunrises and Sunsets! We hope for green pastures and wildflowers this spring/summer! Relax and read; play a few rounds of horse shoes; take a nice long walk around the perimeter of the property and get your miles in...

You will see lots of relics and evidence related to those homesteads across our property!
