Weekend Trip to Boulder Chicken Ranch

This place is great. I was lucky enough to be there during a nice soft snow. Sitting inside of this place watching the snowfall was surreal. It’s a very comfortable place. Chas was great. Checked in on me as the temps dropped quite a bit over night. I actually got stranded from the snow as the interstate was closed and Chas was amazing during what could have been a stressful experience. I will definitely plan to be back.

We had a great time at the Journey tent and would come back! It was our first camping experience with a baby but it was still quite comfortable. The stove inside the tent made all the difference, and the bed was pretty comfortable. There were others camping around but although they were close, we couldn't hear them. We opted for coffee in the morning and picked eggs from the coop. There was no shade around, maybe on a different season the trees around do provide some, but not in April. Patrick was super kind and quick to reply. If you want to go on a trail you need to drive there. There are little farms around and it’s close to anything you would need so that’s convenient! Overall it was a pretty cool experience!

2 nights at The Bluebear at Y Double-K Ranch

Staying at Blue Bear was absolutely amazing! The views are breathtaking and the cabin is incredibly cozy! Cesar’s directions were very helpful - echoing that you should get the directions prior to heading up the mountain as you’ll likely not have service. You should also bring your own water! We cannot recommend this place enough. The little wood burning oven was perfect for warming up the cabin and provided such a fun element! Did we already mention the views? 12/10!

Weekend Trip to Boulder Chicken Ranch

We (Chase & Kylie) had a fantasic stay in our small camper! The spot was very clean and organized, the view was beautiful, and the bathroom with a view was the cherry on top! Our dog had plenty of room for a good game of fetch as well. We definitely will try to stay here again when/if we come through the area! The cabins seemed very nice, and may be what we do next!

Patrick’s property is just outside of Boulder but close enough so you can get to town for dinner or shopping in no time at all. We enjoyed how pretty and quiet it was. We appreciated the mowed grass walkways and the little lights at night. The honey pot was also a plus as our trailer was having battery trouble during our visit. The best part are the chickens and their farm fresh eggs! Patrick was a fantastic communicator and made us feel very welcome. Thank you!

We loved everything about our stay at the chicken meadow! Patrick was very generous and helped with our every need. Finding our way in was slightly confusing, but was really my own fault. Just make sure you have a compass on your way in. Couldn't recommend this spot enough!!

I would definitely come here again! Cute little meadow with lights guiding pathways at night. Toilet on site. Plenty of room to park our RV, right by the lake. It was also nice that we could grab some fresh eggs for breakfast from the chicken coop!

You will not find a more peaceful stay, better view, and more hospitable hosts than at the Blue Moon Cabin! Every detail of the cabin is well thought out for the comfort of guests. Our favs? A warm fire in the evening, windows facing a canyon in Medicine Bow, the convenience of indoor bathroom facilities, privacy even in the outdoor space complete with Adirondack chairs & gas fire pit. We arrived back home completely rested and ready for the work week ahead.

Everything was great! Fresh eggs from the farm and coffee delivered to our tent in the morning! A great memory for my family. Our dog loved it just as much!

The Blue moon Cabin was amazing! Chas met us at the cabin to get us oriented and off to the right foot. The cabin was a perfect balance of excellent views, seclusion, and access to recreation while providing a warm soft place for the three kids to sleep. Chas also went out of his way to show us where the best hiking was for the kids! They are already asking to go back!

This was our second stay at Buford Canyon. It’s so beautiful. We love dry camping here. My kids tell me that I need to plan more than just an overnight. I do want to hike and explore more. We will be back.

Love the cabin and the property. Hosts were so friendly and helpful. We were right next to state land that was great for taking our dogs on a walk. We will be coming back again.

The view at this place is incredible, even better if you take a hike into the valley itself. Chas and his wife built an amazing cozy cabin getaway that's perfect for a night or several. Will think of this place whenever going through Wyoming.

Welcome to Camp Wilder! We are an off-the-beaten-path camp offering peace and solitude. The cabin is very special to my family and me. It was passed down as a mining claim from my grandmother who founded it in the '60s. The vision for the land was simply perfect. A small 10 x 10 cabin with the whole mountain to explore and whoever they wished to bring with them. The town of Nederland is 10 minutes down the road where you can fish at Baker Reservoir. Lots of fun little stores in town to keep the family busy. Wildlife is everywhere up by the cabin/campsite, always remember don't leave food lying around with lots of great things to look for around the magical town of Nederland. The cabin sleeps up to 8 with the futon downstairs being very comfortable and 3" foam upstairs in the loft for more sleeping area. Bring your sleeping bags to stay cozy at night. There are lanterns inside to light up your night with a wood stove to keep you warm at night. The ground around it is sloped so you may have a hard time setting up any tents around the cabin. The grocery store is in Nederland where you can buy food, Coleman green propane bottles, gallon jugs of water and wood. There is a 3 burner Coleman, stove to cook on with limited pots & pans as well as silverware. Road disclaimer, the road to the cabin is one lane dirt road. The drive up to the cabin is pretty good but the turn onto the single dirt road to the cabin has a slight dip, if you have a low-clearance car it may bottom out when you are turning so be careful. No Trailers. They will not be able to turn around once there. Recommend vehicles with AWD. Go 3.4 miles up Caribou road. Turn right @ yellow stakes go .4 miles. Park on the left. Hike down to the cabin between yellow stakes. We are @ 10,000 feet and it is a slight hike to the cabin. Go 3.4 miles up Caribou road. Turn right @ yellow stakes go .4 miles When leaving please make sure both door locks are locked, put the key in the lock box and mix the code for the next camper.

Terry Bison Ranch Resort

Terry Bison Ranch has a history all the way back to the 1800's. The ranch was once owned by F. E. Warren (The first governor of the state of Wyoming). President Teddy Roosevelt was also a guest at the ranch and a picture of him in the main house, hangs on the wall in the Senators Steakhouse. For more in depth history of this amazing ranch, come visit and ride the bison train tour, let your kids take a pony ride, or enjoy a family fun trail ride! We have a bison train tour that takes you out to feed the bison, a steak house, horseback trail rides, and plenty of animals to look at. The dry camping is in the fields surrounding the park.

The Retreat at Acres of Hope Ranch

The dome is situated on a serene and secluded area on the back 30 acres. It offers breathtaking views of the majestic mountains and gleaming water. The space is perfect for couples or small families who are looking for a peaceful retreat away from the chaos of the city. Inside, you will find one room with a comfortable queen-size bed and a cozy sitting area where you can relax and unwind. The dome is a perfect getaway for nature lovers or meditation enthusiasts seeking a quiet and calming space, with majestic sunsets to rejuvenate their body and mind. Most importantly, you will be glamping with a cause as 100 percent of the earnings go to our rescue horses (we are a 501c3 nonprofit). Our glamp site digs the rustic lifestyle, with facilities that will make you feel like a true outdoorsy champ! For now, our sustainable off-grid approach means we're keeping it simple with our very own eco-friendly and charming porta potty. We currently do not have running water, or electricity (we do provide battery powered lights and a reserve battery for the coffee maker) but don't worry, we've got big plans to expand and offer you even more glamping goodness in the near future!

Great outdoor space with a porch and deck on 3 sides of the property. 1/2 block to public access to the lake and snowmobile access for ice fishing in the winter. 1/2 block to Beacon Marina that has bait and fishing license and boat rentals. You can access the lake with your Kayaks here as well. Large out door fire pit for your enjoyment. You're welcome to set up tents with this booking, with prior approval and including total number of guests. Please message me! There is fishing, skiing, golfing, snowmobile riding along with plenty of restaurants and bars in the area. The best and closest restaurant and bar is the Roadhouse Bar and Grill which is a 1/2 mile away, you can enjoy good food without going all the way into town. They have the best Country fried chicken and steak on Friday and crab legs on Saturday! If you are down to earth and just want to have a good time you'll love this place!! Dishwasher in the kitchen and we do have to pack out the trash so please use the dishwasher and leave the paper plates at home, less trash is better!
