Enjoy beaches, motorsports, and lakeside living in this central Florida city.
Within a 1.5-hour drive of Orlando, Tampa, and Fort Myers, Sebring is best known for hosting the Sebring International Raceway, one of the country’s most famous endurance sports car racing events. Motorsports aren’t the only activity Sebring is known for—the lakeside city is home to at least five lakes and affords plenty of ways to get on the water. Fish for crappie and catfish at Lake Sebring, relax on the sandy beach at Lake Jackson, or launch your boat at Lake Istokpoga and hook a largemouth bass. Don’t forget to spend some time in the city itself, too—the “City on the Circle” is known for its historic downtown. Check your big rig into one of the lakeside RV parks, snag a spot at a local Hipcamp, or head to Highlands Hammock State Park, where there’s a family campground with water and electric hookups, and primitive camping in the wilderness.
