2 nights at Waimanalo Farmstay

My partner and I stayed at both the Banana Patch and Orchard Wall tents and they were perfect. Everything was exactly as described. The guides made travel to the locations very easy and staying on the property was wonderful. As it is a rural area, some animal noises at night were unavoidable (like chickens and dogs), but it didn’t impact our sleep. We would definitely look to stay here again the next time we visit Oahu.

Clean with amazing views of the mountains even from the shower! Fairly quiet with the exception of roosters and some neighbors. Other hip campers were very friendly. Used the helpful suggestions that were in the hosts profile for places to visit and eat.

Beautiful/stunning views - a lovely stay, few amenities but would definitely recommend.

1 night at Hamakua Guesthouse

If you want to experience Hawaii in a more relaxing environment to enable you to reconnect with nature, and even yourself, then this is exactly where you want to be! I went to Hawaii on a vacation by myself to get away and it was perfect! Disconnect from all the electronics and enjoy the beautiful views of the property! I honestly think staying here made me get out and explore more of the island, even when I was tired, because I didn’t have any electronics to distract me. The location is wonderful because you can see the sunrises from the top of the driveway every morning and all the stars at night. I actually forgot how amazing the stars are at night without any light pollution. Perfect place to either spend time alone relaxing or go up to the common area and chat with the girls that help run everything. They are all amazing ladies and one of them saved my life when a HUGE bee/hornet got in my cabana! She was brave enough to get the broom and get it on the floor to somehow get that thing back outside! I could never! It buzzed and I ran away screaming lol. The hammock was surprisingly very comfortable to sleep in considering my lower back hurts at times but no pain during this trip! The perfect temperatures at night keep you cool and comfortable. I can’t express how happy I am by making the decision to stay at the Hamakua Guest House and Cabanas! Thanks so much for making my trip to Hawaii more special than I imagined!

The views in the morning or unmatched here. Being able to shower and see the mountains is amazing and I would love to come back here eventually.

Weekend Trip to Waimanalo Farmstay

The view is amazing and the weather was perfect. We went in the spring. I loved the privacy we had. I loved taking a hot shower everyday. The only thing i would complain about is the neighbors behind made so much noise at random hours throughout the night. Like a generator and it sounded like they were fixing a truck. I also saw someone walking with a flashlight in the trees behind us. I still felt pretty safe other than that. Also, if you want to camp in Hawaii be prepared for loud chickens. We can deal with it but not everyone can. I would come here with my family again.

The farm was beautiful and the tiny home and shared space were well equipped with amenities. The roosters do wake you up early but the cats are very sweet. I really enjoyed the outdoor shower and being able to see the stars. It was a perfect farm stay that felt both communal and private.

Weekend Trip to IO's NEST LOOKOUT on the Hamakua

I enjoyed my first stay at the Nest and was excited that it was open again when I came back to this side of the island. My first stay had lots of rain overnight (great natural white noise) and rainbows. My second stay was clear and dry, so it was cool to experience the variety. I didn't have any issues with bugs...the geckos kept to themselves, I kept food out of the Nest and slept inside the mosquito net. The sliding doors have a latch that holds them in place overnight so they don't swing (i also propped a suitcase against the door but that wasn't needed). The sink at the entrance is really handy for washing fruit, utensils, brushing teeth, and I appreciated the fridge in the garage. Highly recommend stopping at The Hive in Honomu, and Piilani Kitchen in Pepeekeo for yummy food. I already miss the views from this special spot.

7 nights at Beautiful And Peaceful Farm Cabinas

Lovely place to stay in the North Shore just outside of Haleiwa. Quick drive to amazing coffee shops like the Nest and Maya tapas bar. Extremely convenient to have a shared kitchen for quick breakfasts before heading out for the day. Highly recommend the Maile cabin, perfect amount of space for a couple, two dressers, and a desk for any remote work. Would come back (hopefully) again soon!

2 nights at Holomua Farms

We had such a wonderful stay beside the river. The valley is beautiful with so much life. The sound of the river provided a soothing atmosphere all night long and the cabin was cozy and provided the essentials we needed. My wife and I arrived after a couple days of rain so the road was a little muddy and there are two river crossings, but that was all part of the fun getting there. It was recommended we had a 4x4, so we made sure to rent a Jeep Wrangler and had no problems getting there. After arriving we were shown around and then left to enjoy the seclusion. It felt like our own private oasis for the next few days. Would definitely come back for a future Oahu escape.

Highly recommend! Has all the amenities including a coffee maker, mini fridge, microwave, outdoor shower and a restroom. Beautiful views and amazing proximity to Akaka falls and local shops. The host were kind enough to let us check in early since we were close by.

3 nights at Malama Aina Retreat - Oahu

The views were amazing, being right next to the mountain. Beautiful wildlife, like chickens. Amenities were nice. It was very quiet and security was top notch! You’re secluded but feel very safe!

One of the best cultural experiences, friendly host, great location and beautiful surroundings. Clean and spacious yurts. Would recommend anyone wanting a real Hawaii experience

I loved staying in the Nest. It was offered just the quiet beauty I needed to recharge. The views from here are stunning, the real toilet, shower and wifi were very much appreciated and Krystle was prompt responding to messages. I wish I could’ve stayed longer.
