This is a perfect spot for decompress, pitch your own tent, we are 28 minutes drive from the volcano park, 15 minutes to black sand beach and 30 minutes from south point, the kau coffee mill which is a really tourist spot is 5 minutes from us, The wood valley temple is on a 6 minutes walk down. if you need a place for do laundry, take a hot shower, cook a meal, decompress and take a breath of fresh air far away from the city and take a minute to explore the forest this would be a great spot for you. A farm in which you are welcome to harvest some vegetables along with squeezing fresh mandarine juice during your stay and learn about the natural techniques we use on the process. Also you can enjoy a farm tour to the biggest mamaki farm in the world (please schedule ahead of Time is encourage) $30 tour farm per hr. We have a camping stove available for you to cook, BBQ grill or wood for make a fire and blankets. Hapu'u Ferns are also within our mini-Rainbow Eucalyptus Rainforest. Enjoy the stunning 90 - 100 degree ocean views of Hawaii Island's Western Coastline, as well as the new Volcanic Vent (Known as Fissure 8) created by the 2018 Eruption of the Kileaua Volcano. The Hawaii Volcano National Park (HVNP) is a 14 mile or 20 minute drive from our campsite. HVNP has a visitor's center to get information about the park, hiking trails throughout its boundaries, steam vents and the awe-inspiring caldera, which is the location of the volcano's lava pool. At night, the glow from the lava in the caldera can be seen at the park. Our campsite is also an 18 mile or 29 minute drive from the Hilo International Airport and the town of Hilo, Hawaii.

Located at 3700’ on a 250 year old lava flow, enjoy camping in a native forested lot that is accessible by 2WD vehicle. This is a great base location to enjoy activities on the south side of Big Island, including Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park, Papakolea (Green Sand Beach), Punalu’u (Black Sand Beach), and Ka Lae (South Point). Break up your island wide cruise and spend more time in scenic Ka’ū, one of the last bastions of old Hawai’i. Mutiny Farms is 100% off-grid. There is currently no power available at either site. You will need to bring flashlights and rechargeable battery packs if you require any portable power. The property is about a 15 minute drive to Ocean View town center, and about an hour to Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park. Ocean View is the only community between Captain Cook and Volcano with restaurants, grocery stores, and other amenities. There are dogs, cats, and peacocks living on the farm. There are a variety of native and food plants growing on the property. At this elevation, the climate can be quite chilly, so please come prepared for the weather. We are happy to provide guided adventures in your personal or rental vehicle, or provide information to enhance your adventure. Waipi'o Lodge and Campsite is located in Kukuihaele less than a mile from majestic Waipiʻo Valley. In a place where horses and wild turkeys often wander by, this is the old Hawaiʻi. Located at 3700’ on a 250 year old lava flow, enjoy camping in a native forested lot that is accessible by 2WD vehicle. This is a great base location to enjoy activities on the south side of Big Island, including Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park, Papakolea (Green Sand Beach), Punalu’u (Black Sand Beach), and Ka Lae (South Point). Break up your island wide cruise and spend more time in scenic Ka’ū, one of the last bastions of old Hawai’i. Mutiny Farms is 100% off-grid. There is currently no power available at either site. You will need to bring flashlights and rechargeable battery packs if you require any portable power. The property is about a 15 minute drive to Ocean View town center, and about an hour to Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park. Ocean View is the only community between Captain Cook and Volcano with restaurants, grocery stores, and other amenities. There are dogs, cats, and peacocks living on the farm. There are a variety of native and food plants growing on the property. At this elevation, the climate can be quite chilly, so please come prepared for the weather. We are happy to provide guided adventures in your personal or rental vehicle, or provide information to enhance your adventure. Hapu'u Ferns are also within our mini-Rainbow Eucalyptus Rainforest. Enjoy the stunning 90 - 100 degree ocean views of Hawaii Island's Western Coastline, as well as the new Volcanic Vent (Known as Fissure 8) created by the 2018 Eruption of the Kileaua Volcano. The Hawaii Volcano National Park (HVNP) is a 14 mile or 20 minute drive from our campsite. HVNP has a visitor's center to get information about the park, hiking trails throughout its boundaries, steam vents and the awe-inspiring caldera, which is the location of the volcano's lava pool. At night, the glow from the lava in the caldera can be seen at the park. Our campsite is also an 18 mile or 29 minute drive from the Hilo International Airport and the town of Hilo, Hawaii.
