4 nights at Sandhill View Ranch Campsites ⛺️

Tyler was a great host! I failed to book properly and got the RV site when I meant to book the Airstream. Lucky for me that no one had booked it for that weekend and we were able to work it out! I loved sitting out at the picnic table in morning to look over the valley while drinking coffee. At night it was a glass of wine under the stars and the twinkling lights of the city off in the distance. It was peaceful there and very restorative. I loved watching the sky with all it's variations of weather off in the distance. The surrounding properties were distant and quiet. One review mentioned the freeway, and you could hear the traffic, but it was far enough away that it was easily tuned out while listening to the birds twitter and call. The place was easy to find with gps.

Loved staying in this Airstream. The host was very friendly and helpful and we had everything we needed. The view at night (and in the morning) was magical too.

1 night at Sandhill View Ranch Campsites ⛺️

This was the first stop on my best friend's 7-state 30th birthday road trip, she had been driving us straight from 8:30 AM til we arrived here right before sunset, and it turned out to be everything we needed after the long journey! Tyler got everything warm, clean, and comfy for us before we showed up, and even shoveled paths and the picnic table area for us (quite a task, given the ~5" or more of ice-topped snow). The outhouse was also very clean, and not even particularly cold, somehow. We had a nice dinner with silly YouTube videos, thanks to the fast WiFi and nice little TV, and scoured our dishes clean with the snow. The couch and bed were both very comfy, and we both had plenty of space to sleep in the latter (definitely could've fit a third person with ease). Perhaps the best part was how beautiful our surroundings were in the morning; the Sun rising over the vast, misty, white landscape felt being in a modern cowboy dream scene, and you can see all the way to the distant city from the door of the airstream (which was also a pretty sight at night). Tyler told us we were the first Winter guests they've had, and we both give the experience full marks and would definitely recommend it to everyone else!

This was an amazing experience. Me and my brothers have visited this yurt a few times now and it has been great. This trip was the end of December and it was snowing like crazy! Julie went up the morning before we got there and turned on the heat and made sure we could get up there. She offered transportation for us if we weren’t able to make it in our vehicles. She is a great host and we love the yurt!

Learn more about this land: Welcome to our pasture oasis! Our property is 4 miles down the road from BLM, where you are able to do any outdoor activities you desire. Personally, I love to ride horses and hike there. You may be greeted by horses or dogs on our property, and it's quite possible that you will hear coyotes at night (light sleepers take this into account). If you are a horse or dog lover, you are able to interact with our animals on the property! I am on the property, as well, for any questions/issues/concerns. There is a runoff river that runs through the property but, rarely has water, however, it has amazing lava rock (similar to Black Magic Canyon which isn’t far away); We also like to use it for campfires! We raise Wagyu beef, make sourdough bread, have dozens of eggs on hand from a local chicken farmer & I make tallow lotion! I am happy to help you source anything you may be interested in!
