Off grid hillside Cabin

1 site · Lodging20 acres · Irvine, KY
Beautiful off grid cabin perched on a hillside above an old tobacco farm. Incredibly quiet, peaceful location close to many trails & half-way between Berea and Irvine. This cabin is off grid and has no running water or internet connectivity. There's an outhouse with RV toilet and you may have cell phone service but you'll be better off if you expect you won't. There are solar lights and a fan, plus moderate power available when the sun's been out. Not much traffic but the darn owls can be loud.

Treehouses, Off the Grid!

5 sites · Lodging285 acres · Germantown, KY
Owned by my Dad who said I could build a tree house on it in 2014. It really was a dream come true. My Dad's original intent was to make it into a huge farm. Now, he is content with building a few treehouses! I have wanted a tree house since I was 10 years old. My siblings and I would spend hours make believing our own tree houses of twigs, rock and moss. It was where we felt at peace. When I turned 35 I knew something was missing in my life. I returned to doing fun adventures again and one led to another and we found tree climbing. EarthJOY tree adventures was founded in 2007 and since then we have guided 1000's of climbers into the trees and watch as they do tree tricks like yoga poses and coming down like spiderman. This land is magical and a world of adventure awaits you!

Queenslake - Classic KY Horse Farm

14 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents140 acres · Georgetown, KY
A long time ago, in a land far away, there lived a beautiful princess who dreamed of a spacious and beautiful farm. She fancied horses running playfully in the pastures; plenty of goats, geese, chickens, dogs, and cats roaming freely. She saw herself sitting beside a large lake under a willow tree, sipping tea or lemonade every afternoon just before her nap. Then one day, a prince came along and said, "As You Wish." Queenslake is a 140 acre working horse farm with a 40 acre fishing lake with three barns and 30 horse pastures. Trails are located around the lake and through the forest for hiking, jogging, biking, ATV, horses. Great scenery. Awesome sunrises/sunsets.
