My grandparents, Donald Clayton Russell & Jewel Geneva (Davis) Russell, purchased this little piece of heaven to get away from the hustle and bustle of Cincinnati life. Judy was born in a little cabin just down the road. Judy & Don along with many family members have made cherished memories here over the years. We want to share its beauty with you and your family. Guests love staying here "We stayed in Birdsong cabin for the Halloween campout weekend. The cabin was ready for us upon arrival and very clean. We enjoyed the privacy of our covered porch and fire ring. The bird feeders hanging all around the cabin are wonderful to watch all the birds during the day. The community fire ring is close enough to enjoy with other campers, but not to close that we could hear anyone in our cabin. Amber and Michael checked on our needs many times during our stay. They hosted a chili cook-off that we greatly enjoyed and passed out candy to all the kids. Overall a great time and experience. We will stay here again."

Usually if someone comes down the road it is the Post Man, UPS or Fed EX except for the 4th of July when our boat dock is often a prime location for a big fireworks display. Usually can't tell a Saturday from a Tuesday most of the time as 80-90% of houses in the area are second vacation homes and unoccupied most of the year. Only 2 houses are located past ours before the cul-de-sac. We are separated by trees and woods on both sides. Private yet very Conveniently located. Getting around Plenty of Convenient Parking located across the concrete driveway. A Large Heavy Duty Wagon is Available for loading and unloading. Plenty of Great biking and hiking spaces are all around. Close to Knoxville, Cumberland Gap, The Smokey Mountains, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Cherokee NC and plenty of options should you choose to leave the lake for a while or your against fishing in the rain. We are located approximately 8 Miles to New Tazewell Municipal Airport and about 9 Miles to Woodlake Golf & Country Club. Cabins with dock

Our property sits on a finger of Cumberland Lake. The Lake is maintain and owned by the Army Corp of Engineers. Our property has one of the few docks that are grandfathered in to the rules of the lake. We bought this property as a summer home for our family and we are fortunate enough to have two small cabins on the property we are willing to share. We took a break during COVID and used our cabins for family but now that things are back to normal, we are ready to meet new people. Both cabins have indoor plumbing, a small kitchen area with a microwave, coffee pot, mini frig and sink. They have been remodeled and have covered balconies that overlook the hillside and water below. It's a beautiful, peaceful getaway that feels like you are miles from the city but really you are a mile from grocery stores, gas, and entertainment. If you are not familiar with Cumberland Lake, please review the pictures here to appreciate the distance and steepness of the hill that must be walked to get to the water. Part of the path is large gravel steps and part is just a trail through the woods, it winds and slopes and can be very slick in the rain. Everyone says it's not bad going down but coming back up is a challenge. This property is not for you if you have mobility issues.

Much of the timber on the place is nearly 100 years old hardwoods, with a couple of fields throughout. I camp here myself too, and can recommend it for privacy! Learn more about this land: You can park an RV or trailer on these private sites within a 10min drive or short walk to Laurel Lake! Gravel roads to a field capable of holding up to two trailers with more planned in time! Primitive sites, Quiet n private. These sites are also within 10 mi of both London and Corbin Ky, with services available at both. Scenic Cumberland Falls is a short 25 min drive, and this place is adjacent to the Daniel Boone National Forest with plenty of hiking nearby.
