Kat's place is amazing. The bus stop isn't far and it's literally 10 minutes away from the French Quarter. She is very nice to speak with and she makes good recommandations. If we ever good back to New Orleans, we'll stay there again!

This place is fantastic! Maria and Timmie will treat you to a wonderful experience. Whether that be a crawfish boil, a boat ride on the bayou or a day out fishing and sight seeing! They were incredibly welcoming and truly amazing people! If we ever come back to Louisiana, we know where we’ll be staying!

Maria and Timmie are one of the most wonderfull people we have met. They are very welcoming and showed us places that we would not have visited by our own. Their place is extremely quiet. If we ever come back in Louisiana, we will come back for sure.

Kat is a friendly, helpful and generous host. The yard is a perfect retreat. 2 minutes from the bus and bike-able to the French Quarter and many venues and restaurants. Would stay again. Feel like we made a new friend🙌🏼

Gorgeous spot right on the river with a massive yard. Was super easy to pull in and hook up, and Maria and Timmie were so sweet and friendly. Thank you again for everything!

Great spot! 45 minute walk to get to the Quarter and 3 minute walk to a nearby bus stop. I have a 19-foot travel trailer that fit the spot just fine. Fenced in yard with a locked gate was also a great safety feature for my rig. Kat was super accommodating, as well. Thank you again for everything!

What a neat spot. Our host, Timmie, was very welcoming and gracious. The campspot is on his circular drive, but it's honestly really great. The view is pretty and they have a very nice setup.

Such a great little oasis in the bustle of the city. Gracious host! The host was very welcoming and went above and beyond to make it the perfect stay! I am ever so grateful for the chance to enjoy the city from the perfect launching spot.

Lovely yard next to Kats home with beautiful plantings and lovely host. Our 21 foot camper and truck fit perfectly although a trailer larger might feel crowded. Loved the proximity to good restaurants, Bourbon and Frenchman’s Streets. Highly recommend. Also, our dog loved the freedom a fenced in place gave her.

This cozy fenced-in spot provides a place to plug in your RV and stay in the Big Easy in a safe, tucked away side yard just minutes from the Bywater, Marigny and French Quarter and a few blocks from the Mississippi River. You can drive, bike, or Uber to hundreds of bars and restaurants in less than 15 minutes. Enjoy your morning coffee on the brick patio and feel free to use the fire pit (fall/winter only) and hammock! Please don't mind Poka, my old and gentle English Shepherd, who may wander around. The description says an acre because it is impossible to put in a smaller number, but the actual parking space is about 25 x 50 ft, with additional hangout space nearby. I am right next door (on the other side of the fence) if you need anything and can help navigate entering and setting up and give you a key to lock the gate with.

We moved to Prairieville 20 years ago. It’s just over an hour from New Orleans and our Bayou property is very similar to what we were accustomed to in Cajun country, Westwego. Learn more about this land: We own 2 acres of partially secluded property on Bayou Manchac. Our place is a genuine Cajun retreat inside and out. We’re operating one short stay and one extended stay campsite and all 3 experience options at this time;. The site is on the Bayou; great for relaxing, bird and turtle watching, kayaking, etc. (There is a public boat launch if needed) Great place for adult only relaxation or for families. Grassy area with firepit for s’mores, archery equipment, etc. Scenic neighborhood for bike riding and walking. We’re close to Baton Rouge and LSU; also about an hour away from the New Orleans metro area. Authentic Cajun hosts lives in a unique A-frame on the property and can point you to attractions and seafood markets. We are lifelong locals with lots of knowledge of the area! We use the money from these bookings to fund the community food access work that we do. While you're here you can enjoy our peaceful and spacious garden property, and we encourage you to get to know some of the fantastic neighbors who use our community fridge and herb garden. Take the scenic Mississippi River Levee Path 1 mile to get to the Algiers Ferry dock which departs every 30 minutes and drops you off at the foot of Canal Street in the heart of New Orleans. If you have a car you can cross the bridge and get to most of the city in 15 minutes during non-peak traffic hours.
