Beachside views, boardwalk adventures, and wild horses await RV campers near Ocean City.
Ocean City is a resort town on a strip of land between the Atlantic Ocean and Isle of Wight Bay. It’s most popular for its iconic beaches and wooden boardwalk—home to shops, dining, and the Jolly Roger Amusement Park. This is good news for RVers, who can park it at campsites that feature restrooms, showers, and views of the boardwalk or beachfront RV parks with full hookups nearby. Drive a bit south to see Assateague State Park on Assateague Island, a natural sand barrier known for pristine shorelines and wild horses. RV campgrounds are available right on the island with trailer access, on-site dump stations, flush toilets, showers, and limited electrical hookups. RV roadtrippers can continue on to Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge, known for its protected beaches, wild Chincoteague ponies, and historic lighthouse, then, travel across the Maryland-Delaware border to visit Fenwick Island State Park for more swimming opportunities, along with kayak and paddleboard rentals, on Assawoman Bay.
