2 nights at Upper Shire Campsites Hudson Valley

Joanna’s sites are beautifully and thoughtfully laid out. The airstream was comfortable and fun to sleep in. Joanna was communicative and helpful. We saw turtles in the pond, a barred owl, lotsa birds and deer walked by too.

1 night at Taconic Forest FALL Camping!

I had a great experience with Constance and camping there! I was a late arrival 11:30pm and they came out to show me the site and the restroom! I appreciated that after a long drive and tired. She was a great communicator and hostess! She even gave us a basket of fruit! So kind. The location is great. You can get gas nearby, a convenience store, and Dunkin’ Donuts! Thank you, Constance! I would stay again!

Weekend Trip to Magic Forest Farm

So, the place is BEYOND beautiful I mean just breath taking so spacious and relaxing me and my friends had a beautiful relaxing time and really enjoyed our stay the only reason i would question staying again if i have to leave an honest review would be the fact that this property has tenants below its made clear with signs in the house not to be loud due to prior complaints and in the description when booking but when paying $400 a night and driving 2-3 hours depending where you are from for a get away then you want to enjoy your weekend and not have to tip toe around also this place is huge and can easily accommodate 10 people but i think max is 4 due to that reason possibly? Seems like a waste of such a beautiful huge space essentially. Otherwise i mean its very nice place clean and well kept.

Wonderful working farm. Lots of interesting things to see. Very friendly dog. Fantastic bathroom made out of old horse stall with cool copper sink and nice touches with composting toilets. Tent camp site was not quite level but we may have chosen poorly.

Very nice property, each site is very private. Be ready to walk your things to the site. Dom has wheelbarrows to help move things which is great. Great experience, the firewood is a nice big bundle. We loved the animals on the farm too. No tables at the sites but there are some nice stumps you can easily use as a table. Thanks Dom

I came here with my husband and a friend to celebrate my birthday, and we had a wonderful time! This campsite is perfect for those who truly enjoy the outdoors. Jay was an amazing host—very communicative and attentive. He checked in on us and was always ready to assist when needed, which made our experience even better. A couple of things to keep in mind if you're booking in the winter: if you're sleeping in a small tent, I highly recommend bringing a heating blanket or some extra warmth, as it can get quite chilly. The cold made it a bit uncomfortable, but we managed. Jay does provide an air mattress, but since inflated items tend to deflate in the cold, a pump wasn’t available. Overall, it was a great experience, and we’d definitely recommend it to anyone who loves the outdoors and enjoys a hands-on, rustic camping adventure!

It was perfect site for my spontaneous camping trip. The host was very nice, and quick response if I needed anything. Unfortunately there is no flushed toilet, but for 20 dollar camping, I can’t complain. There were also animals on the campground.i enjoyed petting cats and dogs. Unfortunately I couldn’t stay in tent at night because it was so dark at night, but my stay was amazing and refreshing😀

The campsite was Amazing. Unfortunately, the area was frozen in snow and ice, so running water was not an option and was really cold, but our dog had a lot of fun, and there was a heater in the tent to cut the chill air. The host was very kind to check in

Very interesting spot! We car camped by the small possibly abandoned cabin? The blueberry bushes were awesome to see. Since we were here in winter there was snow and it was dead quiet. The pond frozen over. Perfect spot if you want some peace and quiet.

Christian was so friendly and helpful in showing us where to set up and even setting us up in a cozier spot since there was some super cold, windy weather! The farm is beautiful and waking up to walk around and say hi to the horses and ponies was so nice! We even explored the property for a bit before we left and it was beautiful! The stream was frozen and glorious and Christian kindly wished us safe travels and goodbye when we were on our way out! We hope to come back in the spring when we can do better exploring in the area! 10/10 would recommend Christian’s sweet farm!

This land was the homestead of the very first non native settler of the area, John Wiley, in 1787. Before that, it was the land of the Mahican native Americans. They named it "valley of the butternut trees", or Wyomanock. The Wyomanock Creek is the backbone of this little valley. Beaver have dammed the creek at several points to create ponds and other wetland features that support a diversity of wildlife including otter, moose and a myriad of birds, from osprey to herons. This sanctuary is host to many uncommon native plants and plant communities. We would love to share it with you! Welcome to Wequamps Haven in South Deerfield, with one of the nicest views of Mount Sugarloaf and North Sugarloaf Mountain, which together form the body of Wequamps of the local native legend. We have one camper site available, located on the edge of our 40 acres of protected land. Your site is on the old farm road near open, farmed fields, behind a well settled neighborhood near downtown. It is out of site of the main road and most neighbors, but still close to all the amenities in town. Half the acreage is flat, tillable land currently farmed by local farmers. The rest is pasture and woodland located on the hillside, abutting state park land which is part of Mount Sugarloaf Reservation. The view of the mountains and open farmland is beautiful at any time of year and the hillside pasture is a great place to watch the sun set over the valley below. It is the perfect site if you want a quiet, peaceful place to relax without going too far from civilization. Since it is an in-town location, it is easy to get to, close to I-91 and Routes 5&10. We are centrally located between Northampton, Amherst and Greenfield, which are all a short ride away, along with all the restaurants and attractions they have available. There are plenty of places nearby to walk, hike, bike, fish, kayak and swim so you can take full advantage of all the region has to offer. You may see rabbits, groundhogs, deer, opossum and numerous birds on the property. We have a resident red-tailed hawk and often spot pileated woodpeckers. You may occasionally hear coyotes or owls in the distance. Feel free to stroll the old farm road or enjoy our large backyard and covered patio which are areas we are happy to share as common spaces with our guests. Explore the lush Pioneer Valley or the many hill towns in our cozy western Mass. mountain ranges for all the farm stands, antique shops, historic sites or outdoor activities you could possibly hope for within easy reach. There are too many wonderful sights to see to list here but let us know your areas of interest and we’ll be happy to help you find them. We will provide a small picnic table, trash can and recycling bin. A small fire pit will also be provided with plenty of firewood available for purchase and potable water can be accessed from the garden hose. Moon In The Pond Farm

Well off the beaten track, it's scenic, private and peaceful. Camping at Moon In The Pond Farm is a little bit of heaven. There are six separate sites to choose from. All are in separate, different locations around the farm, so you have your own secluded spot to enjoy. (Though you may be sharing a field next to our Scottish Highland cattle!) Two are tent sites: the PondSide and the FieldEdge. There's one site for small/tiny RVs or Campervan. There's the BellTent--a bit of "glamping". And finally there's the HiddenCabin--a bed a roof and convenience. Each has a firepit with a small grill to cook over the fire. (all firewood provided) Our campsites are located in quieter areas of the farm. One overlooks the pond, three others are under the trees on the edges of different farm fields, one is a cabin nearer the farmstead. All require a beautiful, bucolic trek of 150-350 yards from the roadside parking--ensuring the quiet, natural experience. During the day times, you may see or hear farm work. At night it's lusciously dark and serenely quiet. You'll hear owls hoot, frogs croak, crickets chirp, foxes yowl and coyotes howl! In June and July the fields and trees light up like Christmas with fireflies, and you'll see the stars. During the week is the absolute best time--the local hot spots (or cooling down spots!) are much quieter, and all our campsites have reduced weekday rates. If you can, take advantage by adding a Thursday or Sunday night to a weekend stay. Wanna hike? We've got an awesome, easy hiking trail on adjacent Nature Conservancy preserved land. It meanders through woodlands, around rock ledges, through wetlands (on a 600' of boardwalk) and ends at a beautiful stream and pond with a gigantic beaver dam. Not far from here are numerous well-marked hiking trails (including the Appalachian Trail (with famous Bash Bish Falls) and several offshoots (Sage's Ravine, Race Brook Falls), Bartholomew's Cobble, Umpacheenee Falls, and others). Also in the neighborhood are opportunities for canoeing, kayaking, swimming, rock climbing, off-road, gavel-road and country-road biking, snowshoeing, cc skiing and pretty much any outdoor activity/adventure opportunity. Or... you can just chill and relax, sleep, or read the day away! Love food? This is Farm-to-Table for real! Never so close--the table's AT the farm!! Bring your cooking gear and get some of our wicked fresh organic food--veggies, chops, sausages, eggs, bacon, granola, yogurt, etc. Sear yourself up a real treat! Very nearby, as the Berkshires is an alternative cultural mecca, there are also numerous entertainment opportunities from many great restaurants to art, dance, music, spas, galleries, antique shops, museums, cafes and much more. It's still amazingly quiet at the farm where the Milky Way is clearly visible.

We are located in the heart of the Hudson Valley, close to the Village of Rhinebeck and the Hudson River. There are many things to do within a half an hour of the campsite. Learn more about this land: A very spacious semi-wooded site that is in the shape of a triangle. The dimensions are approximately 100' by 100' by 50'. Perfect for the large group camp out or the family site. The Lean-to is approximately 10'x9', large enough for a small tent or keep the picnic table in there for bad weather. Large or multiple tents no problem, put your tents in the wooded area where there is room for multiple tents. There is a fire pit area, picnic table, 4 outdoor chairs and corn hole that all are included with the site. A seasonal stream runs along the campsite giving you a nice bubbling brook sound. Plenty of privacy with screens around the site. Within 15-20 minutes of our site is just about anything you could desire. Local restaurants, hiking, fishing, shopping, drive in movie and much much more.
