4 nights at Hidden Meadow

Phil’s Hidden Meadow is an absolute gem. A centralized location, just off I-75 and about 10 miles from Petoskey makes it ideal for those exploring Northern Michigan. Rustic site #4 is tucked away on a nice level parcel. Perfect layout for solar power. Each site is complete with fire ring, firewood and kindling, trash can, patio table with umbrella. Modern sites have electricity. There is a shower stall, water spigot, toilet and wash basin in the communal area. Toilet #2 is near the rustic site 4. Stargazers will love this camp spot as there is a designated clearing for stargazing. From big rigs to small overlanding rigs to tent set-ups, Phil can accommodate you. I don’t think a day goes by that Phil isn’t working to improve upon his HipCamp. It’s a great stay, off the beaten path. Check out his yard games, too!

Weekend Trip to Hidden Meadow

Plenty of room to spread out, and great view of the stars.

1 night at Secluded River Ridge Campsite

We stayed on Randy’s land for a night while visiting the area and needed a place between Sleeping Bear Dunes and Silver Lake. Nice spot that’s private and beautiful views with an easy walk to the river. We appreciated the camp fire wood for sale for a nominal fee (payable cash or Venmo). Bathroom was convenient as well as the water spigot that’s available. Electric is available also but we didn’t need it. We would stay here again. Randy was very nice and responsive.

Weekend Trip to Tincan Camp

We loved TinCan! With it being early spring we were able to have views of the lake. It was an easy pull in site located on gravel. There were a lot of outdoor games, grills, firepits and outdoor furniture. We had our pups with us and there were plenty of trails to take walks on. Jim was a great host and responded timely. I would definitely recommend TinCan Camp

2 nights at Elm Valley

Such a wonderful place. The host was so joyful and helpful as this was our first RV adventure. We hiked the mini trails and had such a peaceful time. So close to so many cool spots! Hop Lot was our favorite.

2 nights at Sherman City Acres

The site was perfect! Lots of room for hanging out and the river is only a short walk away. We weren’t planning on a snow storm as we were arriving at the site but the host was super helpful and brought us some dry firewood so we could get our fire started and warm up. If you are looking for a nice quiet campsite with lots of room and plenty of wilderness, this is a great spot. The host was also super responsive to any questions I had prior to our trip. We look forward to checking out some of their other sites this summer.

Weekend Trip to Step Back in Time with Us!

Fantastic experience staying at a very unique site. Great spot under the stars near the campfire site. Plenty of places to explore. We toured the mansion on property and walked the path through the historic village. Later we walked the path around the property. Dan was there when we arrived and helped us to our site. We had the whole place to ourselves at night. Very clean bathroom on property if needed. Great experience and I would highly recommend.

Weekend Trip to Sherman City Acres

What a perfect spot! We had full hook ups so we stayed nice and toasty in November. We loved the solitude, wildlife and of course the river. Exactly what we needed. The spot was very well kept. We want to come back in the summer to enjoy the c river. Our dog enjoyed being off leash too.

14 nights at Step Back in Time with Us!

Suited us very well. For public museum with a Halloween Venture for kids, that was an enjoyable party. Never a noisy day and peaceful nights. The visitors were pleasantly talkative with input of the Port Sanilac history. Google Maps sent us in the wrong direction but phone call to our host directed to and met us on the grounds. I hope to be back next fall.

Water spigot on your site, and 12v solar generator supplied to provide lighting and USB charging of your important devices. There is an outhouse (commercial porta-jon serviced after each weekend) and an outdoor heated shower in a private stall between the sites. Our mini horse, Annabell is now pulling a cart and giving rides! So much fun! We will have Great Pyrenees puppies from end of April through mid July. Come and spend some time with them! We also have two new additions to the farm. A pony mule, named Molly, in which I am planning to train to pull a cart and a cream colored pony, named Whinny as well, for riding. ABOUT DOREEN I’m an entrepreneur. I’m all about health and taking care of the mind, body and spirit. I’m an organic farmer, an animal nut, health coach, mindset mentor and Psych-K facilitator. I have six children and hosted three foreign exchange students. I love kids, animals (especially horses) and nature. I love anything and everything about health and personal growth and well being. ABOUT THE FARM We have a working, organic farm with a lot of animals, however, we also do crops as well. This particular farm is 138 acres with 8 acres of woods. We have working dogs, sheep, cattle, horses, a few ducks, chickens, a couple goats, a mini horse and outdoor cats on our farm. We have some super great animals. Most of which are very friendly. You never know what will be available to see on the farm when you visit. We are expecting a foal (baby horse) this summer (2021) and are already planning for another foal next summer as well. We often have puppies as well and sometimes we have to bottle feed lambs. There's never a dull moment. Our farm is unique in the way of having a very positive VIBE to it. The energy is awesome! It's really a space of tranquility and healing if you allow yourself to go there. After hosting with air bnb for a little over a year now, we decided to give this a try as well. We love hosting people and having them come to the farm and enjoy our way of life. It also helps to have a supplemental income as having and running a small family farm isn't very sustainable. Typically there's off the farm jobs to help pay for the farm life. It's a crazy equation. Small family farms are far and few between. Please support your local farmer if possible! It is greatly appreciated!

One Grand Place - Riverside Retreat

Pump out is available for a fee. The other adjacent parcel at the very far west end of the property is a large grassy area with 2 sites. Or, can be used as a tent site IF the tent only site is already booked. Pump out is available for a fee. --1 Tent only site. To be booked first before the Standard RV site. However, both sites are next to each other with same view. There is plenty of room to set up games, fish, play with the kids or the dogs, etc. What's not to like? You can also drop a kayak in at the very west end of our property right from shore. Hiking, biking and wildlife, bird/eagle watching are also in the area. Spring Lake, Lake Michigan, beaches, various state/county parks, downtown Grand Haven's shops and restaurants are just a short drive away. Holland is about 30 minutes south and also has a cute downtown, craft beers, and beaches. PJ Hoffmaster State Park is 20 minutes North. If you are a thrill seeker Michigan's Adventure Amusement and Waterpark is only 30 minutes North in Muskegon. There are also many wineries, ciders and craft beer in Southwest Michigan. And many blueberry farms around too. Bottom line....there is plenty of things to do and see during your visit. You can be as active or as chill as you want to be.
