We will allow horses must have own fencing systems. Access to the north country trail, and other orv trails system.  15 minutes to Torch lake, Elk Rapids, and Traverse city. Really a great location to get to almost anywhere in northern Michigan.

Camp Stonewood Ranch

Originally Stonewood was a working farm, supporting a family a hundred years ago. Eventually, there was a Christmas Tree Farm on the property, then it was sold off and used for a hunting camp. That was when the little stone cabin was completely refurbished and a beautiful log addition was added. There are still remnants of the original barns and silo out in the pasture. Today it is a permanent residence again, with the intent of sharing the land and the animals with folks who need the therapy of the peace and quiet along with the animals. If you choose to come for a stay, you will be helping to support a program that will benefit our veterans and first responders.

Michigan Paradise

Dick and Maxine Alexa lived and worked in Ann Arbor, Michigan. In 1990, they found their dream home in the beautiful small town of Tustin, MI where they retired and became involved in their new community.  In 2009, Dick and Maxine were diagnosed with different types of lung cancer. Maxine passed in September 2010 and Dick followed in July 2011. Their only child, Marc, could not part with the property ... too many memories and the only thing he had left of his family. Eventually, we prepared to rent it out on Trip Adviser and Airbnb to help cover the costs of the mortgage. As people began renting and sharing their love and bewilderment with this wonder in the woods like Dick and Maxine once did, we knew we had to continue sharing this slice of paradise and, in some way, the legacy of Dick and Maxine now lives on in all the special, lifetime memories made here. Learn more about this land:Set up camp within the outside perimeter of the backyard, within sight of the fire pit and house, or wander farther out into the rolling hills to pitch a tent or utilize an old deer blind for a secluded and more rustic experience. There are two decks, a pond, a swingset and a propane grill where you can lounge, sunbath, cook or play. Turn on the hose in the secluded backyard to wash up or play in the water. 2.5 miles down a winding road that wraps around a lake, you will find an Amish store. Travel another mile and you'll find yourself in the quaint town of Tustin and the trailhead to the White Pine Trail.

Well Within Farm Sanctuary is a forested  10 acres located minutes  from hiking, biking, fishing and beautiful Traverse City, MI.  Nestled 1/4 mile back from a main road but,  only five minutes from The Village of Kingsley, MI with grocery store,  gas  station, brewery, shops, library, splash park, restaurants and more!  You will stay at a rustic campsite with room for a tent or small RV and a fire ring.
We do provide a clean well maintained port o potty for use.

Chad and I are long-time residents of Kalkaska County.

We are also avid kayakers, runners, and overall nature enthusiasts.

We are blessed with an amazing property on the North Branch of the Manistee River! 

It isn't the main branch of the Manistee River, BUT it flows right into it and offers so much more privacy, quietness, and peacefulness.

With the 8 acres, it's perfect for glamping camping!

The amazing bath house is complete and was thoroughly enjoyed this past season by many glampers!
