1 night at Yellowstone City Guest Ranch

We have stayed at all three of Josh’s cabins up historic Emigrant Gulch and it’s always been a good time. Nothing but beautiful trees, mountains and silence. The cabins are nice and always have plenty of firewood to keep you warm through the night (we have stayed up there twice now in the winter with temps below 20 degrees). The outdoor range is a plus and the compost toilets are sooo much better than a classic outhouse pit. Always a pleasure to stay in one of these cabins with this Looke’s Mill being the most spacious and family friendly. Josh and fam’s hospitality and quick communication is excellent.

The idea of a sustainable, self reliant lifestyle has always been part of our life and passing it down to others is a joy for us. Our Cabin and structures were built primarily of materials that were recycled or milled on site. which makes them warm and inviting. The Cabin is located close to our shop which houses an active blacksmithing school in the summer months where the rest of the structures are separate and in an area tucked away on the edge of the woods.Jeffrey and Betsy work to make your stay as welcoming as possible. We maintain a small orchard of fruit trees, a garden which feeds us year round and a small flower farm on the property. Avid skiers, bikers, paddlers and hikers, offering the property for others to enjoy was a conscious decision made when planning all of our infrastructure. We have designated camping spots like all other commercial campgrounds, but we also have cabin rentals, we have multiple sized group campgrounds, we have bike camp for bicycles and motorcycles, we have off the grid wolf camps, and we have winter hunting camping. We offer restrooms and showers, we have an RV dump, we have steel safety fire pits, we have hiking trails with incredible views, we have ATV roads, and we have four wheel drive roads, we have volleyball and badminton courts. We also have the best views in all of Mineral County. Don't be fooled by other farmers and ranchers on hip camp that tell you to go over next to a swamp or a pond, or at riverbed and let your fend for yourself with no amenities and charge you more than we charge you. If you want to be pure off grid, we have our Wolf Camp Mountain, but at least you can come back to the main compound and get a shower and relax at the lodge. We are just 3 miles off of Interstate 90, exit 47, in the small town of Superior, Montana. We have 5 restaurants, 4 bars with 3 casinos. Darlows is a wonderful grocery store including full service deli, beer, wine, and liquor and five churches of different denominations. The Sanctuary is up the canyon mountain via Pardee Creek Road. We are backed up into 50K of USFS acreage! The Clark Fork River on edge of property provides boating, rafting, and fishing fun! Our property plus USFS property provides miles of hiking, ATV, horseback, motorcross roads and trails. There are three cabins to rent, 25 RV dry spaces, 4 Group areas, and can accommodate over 200 tents! Heat in the winter is wood stove. We have restrooms, showers, cooking facilities, and a lodge with satellite internet connection.

From the mountains rich with forests, lakes, and rivers to the welcoming downtown, this is a place worth exploring and protecting for all those who love it. This site is a suburban half-acre, heavily wooded lot conveniently located 5 miles south of downtown WHITEFISH and 8 miles north of the hub of KALISPELL. We are only a 25-minute drive to GLACIER NATIONAL PARK. 12 minutes to WHITEFISH LAKE BEACH. 25 minutes to FLATHEAD LAKE BEACH and 15 minutes to LES MASON STATE PARK/BEACH (where dogs are allowed). WHITEFISH MOUNTAIN RESORT is a 20-minute drive up the mountain. A ski resort in the winter, there is a lot to do in the summer: Zip lines, mountain biking, slides for the kids, and more - SkiWhitefish.com. The CANADIAN BORDER is 60 miles north. Charming downtown WHITEFISH has music in the park, great restaurants and shops, a golf course and, a river runs through it for paddle boarding and kayaking. The WHITEFISH DOG PARK is a sprawling, 5-acre dog park in a picturesque setting with stunning views of mountains, passing trains, wide open space for lots of play areas, beach & pond, picnic tables, wheelchair accessible, fully accessible paved paths, benches, a drinking fountain for dogs and people, community pavilion, small dog area, agility course, dog wash station and trees. It has been recognized as one of the best dog parks in the country! There are HIKING TRAILS ONLY 4 BLOCKS FROM THE SITE, suitable for mountain bikers, children, and is very dog friendly. Booking must have a 24-hour notice, no same-day bookings. Please note that we are not far from Highway 93 so you can hear the traffic and there is activity in the area. If you are looking for a super quiet, isolated site, this is not the best fit for you. If you want to be right in the middle of everything NW Montana has to offer, this is it! We have a greenhouse and garden on site but our major vegetable growing operation is down in the valley. Lots of wildlife travel through our lot, including a number of owls. In our first five years here we have seen five different owl species, which gives the cabin its name! We have three resident cats and a blue heeler, along with 6 chickens who free roam and you will likely meet.
