We are approx. 34 miles from YNP and less than 10 minutes to the nearest Yellowstone River access. As the name implies, our campsite provides a convenient "basecamp" for exploring YNP or experiencing the Yellowstone River through Fly Fishing or water sports such as kayaking, white-water rafting, canoeing and or SUP. Our campsite provides the perfect retreat after hiking and experiencing Yellowstone. After spending the day doing whatever you please in Paradise Valley or the surrounding areas, come back to your campsite and relax in the hot tub and prepare dinner on the BBQ & amp; Star Gaze. In Emigrant, there is a bank and a post office as well as a bakery and a BBQ restaurant and The Old Saloon. Additionally, there is a small gas station, laundromat and a general store. We offer 20Amp electrical-hook up. We do offer water hook up through a hose. The nearest dump station is 1/2 hour in either direction (Gardiner or Livingston). There are NO on-site outdoor SHOWERS or BATHROOMS, you must be totally self-sufficient in that area. Ken Leaves for work Sun.- Thur. around 4:00 AM. We provide delicious well water! Little Trail Creek runs thru the property. There are two rooms in the cabin. Dining table, kitchen supply hutch & wood stove in the main room.Two queen beds, a small cot in the bedroom. There is one chandelier and 1 outlet in each room. There is one extra cabin with one queen bed available for an additional fee. It is 4 feet from the homestead. It is only available for use by guests of the homestead cabin, so it is private. There is a gorgeous new shower house built in 2023. It provides a large walk in shower, vanity and sink, outlet and standard flush toilet. Candles, oil lanterns, propane for the BBQ grill, campfire ring, camp chairs, wood stove, towels, hot springs & river towels, bedding, pots, pans, utensils, basic camp supplies are all included! There is a separate shack with an electrical outlet, toaster oven, electric coffee pot, percolator, a single electric burner for the cooking supplies. There are 3 other rentals on this property. Each cabin has 1 - 1.5 acres of private use and are generously spaced out.The Homestead cabin is bordered by Little Trail Creek and the house pasture. There are 5 horses on site. Absorkee Wilderness is in the back yard with thousands of miles of hiking trails. This is a Glamping experience. There my be wildlife - including bears, elk, deer, bugs or field mice at anytime. We have tried to preserve the Homestead cabin as much as possible to its original state. There are elk, deer, birds and other native wildlife on the property daily.

Our canvas wall tent can be setup with: - One king bed OR Two XL twin beds All bedding and linens are provided. The tent has a desk, armoire for clothing/gear storage, coat rack and hooks; and both an indoor and outdoor dining table. A supply of fresh water and ice (in an ice chest), coffee/tea/cocoa/cider is provided as well as dishes and cookware. An indoor-safe small propane heater is provided for cool evenings and a battery-operated fan for warmer nights. Solar-powered and battery-operated lighting is provided. Outside the tent is an oversized, three-burner propane Camp Chef Pro-90 camp stove, cast iron cookware, grill tools, and kettle. On the deck is an outdoor dining table and chairs. To cap it off, the deck of the tent looks out over a perfectly tree-framed view of the Bridger Mountain Range. Additional amenities include a private outdoor shower and sink area *with hot water* tucked under the canopy of a Cottonwood grove (biodegradable soap/shampoo, lotion, towels, washcloths, robes, and dish towels provided.), and a hammock. A barnwood outhouse is situated nearby. One parking space is provided at the tent site; if more parking is required, additional vehicles may park at the Main Lodge and walk or carpool to the tent site. *Please note, we do operate a fly fishing lodge, BnB, and vacation rental business on the shared 30 acres. Our little farm consists of 5 acres in what is arguably one of the most beautiful and idyllic locations in Bozeman. We are four miles from the interstate (I-90) and 6 miles from the center of Main Street in Downtown Bozeman, so our property is super-convenient to anything you’d like to do in the area. Our farm is located at the end of a private drive in the foothills of the Bridger Mountains with no through traffic. We have peaceful neighbors and spectacular views of the Gallatin Valley, and Bridger Mountains along with epic views of the sunset and sunrise. You can ride bikes and go running on the rural roads where we live, and we are only 2.1 miles away from the Middle Cottonwood Trailhead which will give you access to the Gallatin National Forest via the Middle Cottonwood Trail and Bridger Foothills Trail. (You can run, hike, or ride a mountain bike from our hosting location directly to the trailhead.) We have a couple of horses pastured on the farm, a working art studio, and friendly dogs and cats. There is a patio available for your use with some basic furnishings which features spectacular sunset views. We have power for vans/small RVs, potable water, and a place to dump a cassette toilet. Parking location is perfectly level and completed, but our landscaping is not finished yet around this area. Come spend a night, or two, or three or more at our beloved little farm.
