At one point in the early 1900's it was home to itinerant farmers who farmed the nearby fields. Our property was the dumping grounds for the stones/rocks that were pulled from the fields. You will notice lots of them throughout the property! Our site is a well manicured area near our house on a 3-acre parcel. There is lots of sun and shade depending on when and where you happen to be on the site. There is plenty of space to pull out your favorite lawn game and a great firepit to keep warm at night. We are about 10 minutes from Clough State Park where there is plenty to do including swimming, paddling, biking, hiking, ATVing, etc. Our site has 50amp service and filtered well water (2 spigots). Depending on how long your RV is, you may not be able to put our your awning all the way.

Come experience a romantic, private four season yurt experience in a secluded piece of nature on our 14 acre property, enveloped by a variety of tall trees and distant view of the farms pasture and barn. Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway for two, a family or group experience, the yurt provides 492 sq. ft. of comfortable space with top quality amenities, including Wi-Fi, and is available for all seasons: rain, snow or sunshine. There is a viewable pond and two running brooks on the property. We have Nigerian Dwarf goats, numerous chicken breeds and ducks. When we are available, you may interact with the farm animals if desired. The small town of Mason has a number of homesteads/farms nearby, a fine dining restaurant, a Maple House and restaurant, a venue for live concerts of talented singers/bands, and a swimmable quarry. PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION IN FULL BEFORE BOOKING WITH US. BOOKING THE PROPERTY ARE ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS AND RULES. Be mindful that we have multiple animals on our little farm including a barn cat, dog, goats, chickens, and ducks. As such, you may hear animal noises. However, the barn is approximately 400 feet away from the yurt where most of the animals stay. We have made extensive efforts to make your stay as comfortable as possible. However, the Yurt is a “Glamping” (Glorified Camping) experience. As such, here are some following considerations before you decide to book our yurt: 1. The walkway from the parking area to the yurt is approximately 150 yards long over a grassy path that can be wet, uneven and in the winter covered with snow or ice. Wear appropriate footwear. 2. The yurt is heated by a wood stove. You will need to build a fire and maintain it in the wood stove to keep warm in the winter months. We provide the tools, the wood and the training for those who need it. If you are away from the yurt all day, you will need to restart the fire to get the yurt back to a comfortable temperature. 3. Yurt guests exclusively have access to the outhouse lavatory for all bathroom needs. We utilize a composting bag/toilet in the outhouse, and guests must follow the posted instructions related to its use. 4. The outhouse is NOT insulated. It can be cold in the winter. 5. The outdoor shower is available for guest use during the warm months (approximately May through October, or when outdoor temperatures are consistently above freezing). There is a water hose with shower spray nozzle and solar shower bags for warmer water at the shower stall. 6. We DO NOT have hot running water at the yurt. There is up to an 18 gallon container over the sink for cleansing needs, washing dishes, etc…Refills may be required. Guests may boil water in the kettle for hot water needs. 7. Guests are welcome to use all items in the kitchen. The kitchen has all of your cooking needs. 8. The yurt is located on a farm. Although unlikely, guests may encounter associated sounds and smells related to raising animals during their stay with us. If you proceed to book a stay, you can expect to have a unique lodging experience that will detach you from the routine and reconnect you to nature and those you are experiencing it with. Careful consideration has been taken to design and furnish the space to provide you with a comfortable, memorable experience. From the artistic pieces, to the cozy bed and lounge chairs, cast iron wood stove, air conditioner and outdoor fire-pit; to name a few. Clean towels, linens, robes and slippers (robes and slippers are provided during the winter months and slippers are for you to keep) are provided, and there are extra blankets stored in the chest and round stools for those extra cold nights. The composting outhouse is just a few steps away from the door. It has a skylight and a solar lamp during night time hours. The yurt area is private, but you may experience wildlife such as deer, fox, bunny or other sightings. You may see our goats in the fenced pasture from a healthy distance, but you may choose to approach them at the fence, if desired. You will get a sense of what homesteading life is like in rural New Hampshire. Cell carriers may be spotty. AT&;T works best. Wi-Fi is provided with speeds up to 140 mbps. Currently there isn't a television provided. You may bring a laptop or other screened device to stream your favorite television shows. You must provide your own subscription account/login. DOGS: When you book, please confirm these rules and be sure your reservation includes your pup. > One dog maximum > Your dog is at least one year old and FULLY potty trained > He or she gets along with other dogs - we have a dog and cat here > Dog stays off all furniture - this is important to us and to our future guests; please note that we charge a minimum additional $250 cleaning fee if this rule is broken > Please bring bags and pick up waste > Dog stays with you when you go out and is not left alone in the space COLD SEASON VISITORS: In your reservation request, please acknowledge you have read and understood the three important points below. The yurt is a wonderful and cozy place to be in the cold season. That said, there are some unique aspects to staying in the yurt during winter that you should review and feel good about: 1. Making fire in a wood stove is an enjoyable feeling, AND, you must do it well in order to stay warm. If you have never worked with a wood stove before, plan on reading the detailed instructions we have left you. We would also highly recommend you come before dark rather than late at night. 2. There is a lovely outdoor shower space outside the yurt, next to the outhouse. It is useable anytime during the year; however, during the cold months it will likely be intolerable. We DO NOT have running water to the shower space area. During the warmer months of the year, solar water shower bags are provided. Soap and Towels are provided. 3. The yurt is about 400 feet (a 2 minute flat walk) from your parking spot. That said, it's an easy walk. WHAT TO BRING: We provide all bedding, linens, pillows, towels, robes and slippers (robes and slippers are provided during winter months only and slippers are for you to keep). We provide all of the basic bbq/cooking supplies. There is a coffee/Nespresso machine provided, including coffee and coffee pods, snacks and fresh farm eggs when in season. We encourage you to bring appropriate clothing and foot wear for the season you visit, including jackets, shoes, beach towels if you will be swimming in the summer, slippers and cozy layers for the cold months, and foods and drinks (coffee is provided). If you are interested in streaming your favorite shows, we recommend you bring your screened devices (i.e. laptop). SUMMER VISITORS: We can provide suggestions in our area for great hikes, swimming holes, paddling spots, and the best ice cream stands. There is a viewable pond on the property; however, there is No Swimming allowed in the pond. The yurt has a window A/C and high velocity fan to keep you cooler during the hot summer months. ATFS Certified Tree Farm Est. 2004 Camp with your group at our private Tree Farm / Conservation / Recreation Area. Established in 2004, we are an 87 acre ATFS certified Tree Farm located in the Blue Hills Range in the Foothills to NH’s White Mountains. Choose from one of four unique sites / outdoor spaces to best fit your camping needs; book a combination to reserve a section of the mountain, or book all four sites for total privacy or for events. Our Farm spans the northerly side of Hussey Mountain from the base to the summit. Guests are provided with private access to several miles of multi-use nature trails, multiple scenic lookouts, a three acre PYO blueberry maze, and a dock on our private eight acre pond with available boat rentals. At the 2WD shared parking area guests are provided with a outdoor shower with hot and cold water, a portable toilet, garden hose for washing, a power strip for charging devices, and a spigot with potable water for filling containers. Over two decades ago we created our first campsite for the purpose of hosting family and friends. Folks enjoyed camping on the mountain so much they often would choose our farm over traditional campgrounds. Hosting campers became a regular weekend event, and to accommodate more people we created three more sites spread out across the property. In 2020, we came across the Hipcamp app and started offering private reservations to the public. Since, we have been hosting campers on a daily basis and continuously improving our sites / infrastructure / views. We’re excited to see what the next two decades hold; come join us on the mountain! Things to do on the mountain SPRING-FALL include... Hiking on several miles of maintained nature trails marked with clear signage for easy day/night navigation. Relaxing/taking in the scenery from several scenic lookouts located on and around the mountain’s summit; combined they provide a 360-degree view spanning from the NH/ME Seacoast to the White Mountains of NH, to the Green Mountains of VT. Fishing, paddling, swimming, or relaxing on our dock. Bird/wildlife watching, berry picking, stargazing and leaf peeping. This is a place you can easily spend a few days and keep busy! That said, if you’re looking to venture off-mountain and explore we’re in a great area to do that. We’re located only 7 minutes off Exit 14, NH Route 16 N. Places to visit nearby include... Baxter lake (public access) 5 minutes south. Portsmouth 25 minutes south. Lake Winnipesaukee 20 minutes north. Gunstock mountain resort 25 minutes north. NH’s White Mountains 40 minutes north. Conway 1 hour north. Things to do on the mountain in WINTER include... With snow, our unique network of forestry trails and glades are transformed into downhill ski/snowboard runs, snowshoe routes, and snowmobile trails. Site 1 Base Camp becomes ski-in, ski-out and is our only available site during ski season.

Please ask me about extra services I provide such as catering, a equine experience or anything else you might need. Come glamp/camp in one of New Hampshire’s only Lotus Belle Star Gazer tents. Set up on the top of our land at New Morning North Farm. You will have your own driveway all the way up to a view in the middle of the woods. There are trails right from your site! We have a small farm with a friendly mule and horse that stay close to the site. Our beautiful tent is currently fully furnished with 2 twin size futons and 2 queen size futons. The futons are stackable to make more room during the day but can be spread out for comfortable sleeping for everyone. There is also a shelf with useful books and a light. A chest full of extra blankets and a couple chairs. Note- Each futon has a washable cover that is cleaned between visits and there are extra pillows and blankets provided but you should bring your own bedding to make sure you are as comfortable as you can be. If you're traveling by plane and don't have your bedding let me know and I will see what I else I can provide. There's a rustic yet clean compostable toilet with compostable toilet paper, hand sanitizer, a water dispenser and a fresh towel for cleaning but there is no shower. There are plenty of beautiful lakes and rivers around to swim in though! There's also a very affordable gym with showers at nearby Colby Sawyer College. There's a fire pit with wood included but this is still camping and you are encourages to find kindling and bring some newspaper to get it going. I will let you know if there are any fire restrictions. Outside the tent we also have a table and chairs and seats around the fire. There is a water dispenser for drinking water on the table and a small charcoal grill. I can refill water as needed. We have a tree house and playground for the kids (sorry the zipline is down right now because we had a huge tree fall over the winter). We are hoping to get it back up soon. Kids love it here! They get the pat the horses and play on the natural playground. If we are around, you're welcome to come help feed the horses and chickens and catch frogs in the pond. Just text me. We also now have two huge domesticated ducks that hang out on the pond. The farm dog Hector does his job every morning and runs around the property checking things out. If he happens to come up to the camp don't be alarmed. He is loud yet friendly. We have a general rule of no dogs but sometimes dogs are okay. Please reach out. We are only a few miles from famous Grafton Pond and very close to Cole Pond, Kolelemook Lake, Little Lake Sunapee, Pleasant Lake, Lake Sunapee, Mascoma Lake and the list goes on! Only 10 minutes to New London for shopping and dining. Tons of hiking close by too! Shaker Village in Enfield is very close and Hanover and Lebanon are about half an hour away. I quick drive from Boston can take just over an hour without traffic.

There is a lovely outdoor shower space outside the yurt, next to the outhouse. It is useable anytime during the year; however, during the cold months it will likely be intolerable. We DO NOT have running water to the shower space area. During the warmer months of the year, solar water shower bags are provided. Soap and Towels are provided. 3. The yurt is about 400 feet (a 2 minute flat walk) from your parking spot. That said, it's an easy walk. WHAT TO BRING: We provide all bedding, linens, pillows, towels, robes and slippers (robes and slippers are provided during winter months only and slippers are for you to keep). We provide all of the basic bbq/cooking supplies. There is a coffee/Nespresso machine provided, including coffee and coffee pods, snacks and fresh farm eggs when in season. We encourage you to bring appropriate clothing and foot wear for the season you visit, including jackets, shoes, beach towels if you will be swimming in the summer, slippers and cozy layers for the cold months, and foods and drinks (coffee is provided). If you are interested in streaming your favorite shows, we recommend you bring your screened devices (i.e. laptop). SUMMER VISITORS: We can provide suggestions in our area for great hikes, swimming holes, paddling spots, and the best ice cream stands. There is a viewable pond on the property; however, there is No Swimming allowed in the pond. The yurt has a window A/C and high velocity fan to keep you cooler during the hot summer months. Established in 2004, we are an 87 acre ATFS certified Tree Farm located in the Blue Hills Range in the Foothills to NH’s White Mountains. Our Farm spans the northerly side of Hussey Mountain from the base to the summit. Set up on the top of our land at New Morning North Farm. You will have your own driveway all the way up to a view in the middle of the woods. There are trails right from your site! We have a small farm with a friendly mule and horse that stay close to the site. Our beautiful tent is currently fully furnished with 2 twin size futons and 2 queen size futons. The futons are stackable to make more room during the day but can be spread out for comfortable sleeping for everyone. There is also a shelf with useful books and a light. A chest full of extra blankets and a couple chairs. Note- Each futon has a washable cover that is cleaned between visits and there are extra pillows and blankets provided but you should bring your own bedding to make sure you are as comfortable as you can be. If you're traveling by plane and don't have your bedding let me know and I will see what I else I can provide. There's a rustic yet clean compostable toilet with compostable toilet paper, hand sanitizer, a water dispenser and a fresh towel for cleaning but there is no shower. There are plenty of beautiful lakes and rivers around to swim in though! There's also a very affordable gym with showers at nearby Colby Sawyer College. There's a fire pit with wood included but this is still camping and you are encourages to find kindling and bring some newspaper to get it going. I will let you know if there are any fire restrictions. Outside the tent we also have a table and chairs and seats around the fire. There is a water dispenser for drinking water on the table and a small charcoal grill. I can refill water as needed. We have a tree house and playground for the kids (sorry the zipline is down right now because we had a huge tree fall over the winter). We are hoping to get it back up soon. Kids love it here! They get the pat the horses and play on the natural playground. If we are around, you're welcome to come help feed the horses and chickens and catch frogs in the pond. Just text me. We also now have two huge domesticated ducks that hang out on the pond. The farm dog Hector does his job every morning and runs around the property checking things out. If he happens to come up to the camp don't be alarmed. He is loud yet friendly. We have a general rule of no dogs but sometimes dogs are okay. Please reach out. We are only a few miles from famous Grafton Pond and very close to Cole Pond, Kolelemook Lake, Little Lake Sunapee, Pleasant Lake, Lake Sunapee, Mascoma Lake and the list goes on! Only 10 minutes to New London for shopping and dining. Tons of hiking close by too! Shaker Village in Enfield is very close and Hanover and Lebanon are about half an hour away. I quick drive from Boston can take just over an hour without traffic.

Our site is just up the road from some of the most famous hikes, overlooks, swimming holes, formations, and ski resorts in New England—and 25 minutes from the Kancamagus Highway, connecting the eastern and western White Mountains and counted among the most scenic drives in America. You will never run out of things to do in any season or weather. This site is less than 15 minutes from Cannon Mountain, Echo Lake Beach, Profile Lake, Mt. Lafayette, and less than 25 minutes from Flume Gorge, Clark's Trading Post, the seasonal Ice Castles, downtown Lincoln, the Hobo Railroad, North Woodstock, Loon Mountain, Bretton Woods, Mt. Washington, the Cog Railway, and so much more. Our 5-acre forest features just a single private campsite, with a huge tenting platform, granite fire pit, and a rocky creek passing right by the site. From the two-car parking area, a 200-ft. trail winds through the woods, over a wooden stream crossing, and ends at the site itself set far back from the road. Modern conveniences are also close by. It's 5 minutes to the nearest grocery / convenience store, 5 minutes to Rek-Lis Brewing, 4 minutes to Super Secret Ice Cream (James Beard Award nominee), 13 minutes to Polly's Pancake Parlor (our favorite) and countless other restaurants. 17 minutes to the nearest medical facility. Other Notes and Important Things: - Please pack out all trash. Cleaners are in high demand in this region and we will have to charge a steep retroactive cleaning fee if any trash is left at the site. - Likewise please let us know ASAP if trash is present when you arrive. - The tenting platform is 12 ft. wide on its narrowest edge. It's flat and dry, but there are no anchor points for stakes or lines. Freestanding tents are best, or you may want to pack extra-long guy lines. - Don't forget the bug spray, especially in Summer! That goes for all campsites in the White Mountains, especially creekside ones like ours. - A portable toilet with privacy tent is available at the back of the site. Please use the provided trash bags as liners and pack them out if used. Odor-absorbing pine shavings are provided. - Please observe quiet hours between 9PM and 9AM everyday. - Cell coverage is surprisingly strong here. You should have direct 4G LTE access on Verizon and AT&T, and 4G extended coverage on T-Mobile / Sprint. - You may want to pack a wood splitting axe. Feel free to burn any dead, fallen, or cut wood on the premises, but all firewood must be less than 5 inches in diameter.

Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway for two, a family or group experience, the yurt provides 492 sq. ft. of comfortable space with top quality amenities, including Wi-Fi, and is available for all seasons: rain, snow or sunshine. There is a viewable pond and two running brooks on the property. We have Nigerian Dwarf goats, numerous chicken breeds and ducks. When we are available, you may interact with the farm animals if desired. The small town of Mason has a number of homesteads/farms nearby, a fine dining restaurant, a Maple House and restaurant, a venue for live concerts of talented singers/bands, and a swimmable quarry. PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION IN FULL BEFORE BOOKING WITH US. BOOKING THE PROPERTY ARE ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS AND RULES. Be mindful that we have multiple animals on our little farm including a barn cat, dog, goats, chickens, and ducks. As such, you may hear animal noises. However, the barn is approximately 400 feet away from the yurt where most of the animals stay. We have made extensive efforts to make your stay as comfortable as possible. However, the Yurt is a “Glamping” (Glorified Camping) experience. As such, here are some following considerations before you decide to book our yurt: 1. The walkway from the parking area to the yurt is approximately 150 yards long over a grassy path that can be wet, uneven and in the winter covered with snow or ice. Wear appropriate footwear. 2. The yurt is heated by a wood stove. You will need to build a fire and maintain it in the wood stove to keep warm in the winter months. We provide the tools, the wood and the training for those who need it. If you are away from the yurt all day, you will need to restart the fire to get the yurt back to a comfortable temperature. 3. Yurt guests exclusively have access to the outhouse lavatory for all bathroom needs. We utilize a composting bag/toilet in the outhouse, and guests must follow the posted instructions related to its use. 4. The outhouse is NOT insulated. It can be cold in the winter. 5. The outdoor shower is available for guest use during the warm months (approximately May through October, or when outdoor temperatures are consistently above freezing). There is a water hose with shower spray nozzle and solar shower bags for warmer water at the shower stall. 6. We DO NOT have hot running water at the yurt. There is up to an 18 gallon container over the sink for cleansing needs, washing dishes, etc…Refills may be required. Guests may boil water in the kettle for hot water needs. 7. Guests are welcome to use all items in the kitchen. The kitchen has all of your cooking needs. 8. The yurt is located on a farm. Although unlikely, guests may encounter associated sounds and smells related to raising animals during their stay with us. If you proceed to book a stay, you can expect to have a unique lodging experience that will detach you from the routine and reconnect you to nature and those you are experiencing it with. Careful consideration has been taken to design and furnish the space to provide you with a comfortable, memorable experience. From the artistic pieces, to the cozy bed and lounge chairs, cast iron wood stove, air conditioner and outdoor fire-pit; to name a few. Clean towels, linens, robes and slippers (robes and slippers are provided during the winter months and slippers are for you to keep) are provided, and there are extra blankets stored in the chest and round stools for those extra cold nights. The composting outhouse is just a few steps away from the door. It has a skylight and a solar lamp during night time hours. There are 2 separate sites on our working horse farm! Either the tiny home or a private campsite. The campsite is a tent-only campsite (campers bring their own tents). Wander the farm and enjoy the furry faces of horses, mini cows, cats a pot belly pig and more! The site is set up with a picnic table, firepit & a portable camping toilet. There is firewood provided but we suggest you bring a firestarter of some sort. We are located on a private 36 acres of mostly woodland. We abut 100 acres of conservation land and another 100 acres of private woodlands. There is a marsh and a creek on the property that support myriad wildlife. There are owls, loons, eagles, hawks, hermit thrushes, robins, turkeys, song birds and herons. There are deer, moose, bear(don't leave your food out!), chipmunks, squirrels, opossum, raccoons(don't leave your food out!), skunks, minks, otters and many other species in our neighborhood. We live at the end of a dead end road with very little traffic and have space for campers and unlimited camping sites. Come on over! Not providing water currently, bring a filter and filter fresh water while you are here. No outhouse currently so bring a shovel and dig a hole, and bury it after. Thank you!

Live like a local less than 12 minutes from Franconia Notch. Our site is just up the road from some of the most famous hikes, overlooks, swimming holes, formations, and ski resorts in New England—and 25 minutes from the Kancamagus Highway, connecting the eastern and western White Mountains and counted among the most scenic drives in America. You will never run out of things to do in any season or weather. This site is less than 15 minutes from Cannon Mountain, Echo Lake Beach, Profile Lake, Mt. Lafayette, and less than 25 minutes from Flume Gorge, Clark's Trading Post, the seasonal Ice Castles, downtown Lincoln, the Hobo Railroad, North Woodstock, Loon Mountain, Bretton Woods, Mt. Washington, the Cog Railway, and so much more. Our 5-acre forest features just a single private campsite, with a huge tenting platform, granite fire pit, and a rocky creek passing right by the site. From the two-car parking area, a 200-ft. trail winds through the woods, over a wooden stream crossing, and ends at the site itself set far back from the road. Modern conveniences are also close by. It's 5 minutes to the nearest grocery / convenience store, 5 minutes to Rek-Lis Brewing, 4 minutes to Super Secret Ice Cream (James Beard Award nominee), 13 minutes to Polly's Pancake Parlor (our favorite) and countless other restaurants. 17 minutes to the nearest medical facility. Other Notes and Important Things: - Please pack out all trash. Cleaners are in high demand in this region and we will have to charge a steep retroactive cleaning fee if any trash is left at the site. - Likewise please let us know ASAP if trash is present when you arrive. - The tenting platform is 12 ft. wide on its narrowest edge. It's flat and dry, but there are no anchor points for stakes or lines. Freestanding tents are best, or you may want to pack extra-long guy lines. - Don't forget the bug spray, especially in Summer! That goes for all campsites in the White Mountains, especially creekside ones like ours. - A portable toilet with privacy tent is available at the back of the site. Please use the provided trash bags as liners and pack them out if used. Odor-absorbing pine shavings are provided. - Please observe quiet hours between 9PM and 9AM everyday. - Cell coverage is surprisingly strong here. You should have direct 4G LTE access on Verizon and AT&T, and 4G extended coverage on T-Mobile / Sprint. - You may want to pack a wood splitting axe. Feel free to burn any dead, fallen, or cut wood on the premises, but all firewood must be less than 5 inches in diameter.

New Hampshire state parks offer a wide variety of camping experiences from primitive tent sites to lakeside RV spots with prime mountain views.

Where to go

Mount Washington

Sitting at 6,288 feet in eastern New Hampshire, Mount Washington is the tallest peak in New England, famous for its extreme weather. (The highest recorded wind speed outside of a tornado, 231 miles per hour, was measured at the Mount Washington Observatory atop the summit.) Mount Washington is on the Appalachian Trail and visitors can hike, drive, or take the Mount Washington Cog Railway up to the summit.

Franconia Notch State Park

In the heart of the White Mountains, Franconia Notch State Park is one of the most family-friendly state parks in New Hampshire and packed with natural wonders including Flume Gorge, Cloudland Falls, and Echo Lake. Lafayette Place Campground is a nice family campground right in the center of the park, near many trailheads and top sights, with a camp store and 97 campsites ideal for tent campers. Nearby Cannon Mountain RV Park offers seven RV sites with full hook-ups and a dump station.

White Mountain National Forest

The 800,000-acre White Mountain National Forest offers some of the best camping in the state. Renowned for its mountain scenery, abundant wildlife, and stunning fall foliage, the park is home to over a thousand miles of trails that weave through the rugged terrain for hikers, mountain bikers, snowshoers, ATVs, and snowmobiles. Overnight visitors will find 23 national forest campgrounds, backcountry huts, and cabin rentals.

When to go

Summer through early fall is the best time for camping, hiking, canoeing, and kayaking in New Hampshire. Snow tends to linger on peaks into early June, and mosquitoes can be the most troublesome in July. Fall, when the changing leaves are at their peak, is an especially popular time to visit. Be sure to make camping reservations during this time well in advance. Some New Hampshire state park campgrounds, including Lafayette Place in Franconia Notch, remain open year-round, although off-season services are limited.

Know before you go

  1. Camping reservations can be made up to 11 months in advance online or over the phone for New Hampshire state parks. Rates vary by the campground, with senior rates available. Monadnock State Park, Bear Brook State Park, Pawtuckaway State Park, and White Lake State Park feature some of the most popular New Hampshire campgrounds; advanced reservations are strongly recommended. 
  2. Many New Hampshire state parks have pet restrictions. Some do not allow them at all and others prohibit them on beaches, swimming areas, and picnic areas.
  3. Numerous backcountry campsites and shelters exist in the White Mountains. Most are free to use as long as you adhere to White Mountain National Forest backcountry camping rules. 
  4. Weather in New Hampshire can be challenging and unpredictable. Come prepared with rain gear and extra layers, even in summer.
