HBC is a retreat destination for mountain biking, skiing, and hiking, with private access to Green Woodland’s 23,000 acres of public trails next door! Our trails feature hand and machine-built features for riders of all skill levels. Under an hour of driving will get you to Mt. Moosilauke on the Appalachian Trail, renowned climbing at the Rumney Crags, and dozens of pristine NH lakes. Back on the farm, our swimming holes, hammocks, and communal fire pit offer peace and community connection after a full day of outdoor adventures. Guests are encouraged to recreate and restore amidst the natural beauty of our rural property, explore our orchards and vegetable gardens, and enjoy open-air, leisurely dining at our on-farm restaurant. The last two weekends just prior to Halloween a large regional organization turns an old academy into a 25 room Haunted House..called The Haunting there is a fee and only 5 minutes away. Each cabin is insulated and features a cozy queen bed, along with a power source—Coyote and Bobcat cabins boast full power, while Owl and Harrier operate on solar or portable generators. Step onto your private deck adorned with outdoor seating, perfect for unwinding amidst the tranquil surroundings. Refresh yourself with a camping shower, camping sink, water filter filter for hose and a porta potty. Your stay grants you access to our exclusive 18-hole disc golf course, the Runaround Woods DGC. Discs can be provided if needed, ensuring endless entertainment for enthusiasts. Delight in the rejuvenating experience of our wood-fired sauna and hot tub, each accommodating two people at a time. Allow 15-30 minutes for the sauna to warm up, reaching temperatures between 140-170 degrees Fahrenheit, while the hot tub requires a longer preparation time—typically lit a few hours prior to use. We're more than happy to assist with setting up either amenity. Embark on a scenic trail cutting through the heart of the disc golf course, leading to a picturesque ravine. Beyond lies a network of trails traversing our property and connecting to the Runaround Pond recreation trails, illuminated by solar lights for evening strolls. Just 0.4 miles from the cabins, discover the tranquil waters of Runaround Pond, perfect for fishing or kayaking in hopes of spotting playful otters. Conveniently located, Durham places you approximately 30 minutes from Portland, 40 minutes from the airport, and 20-25 minutes from Harpswell, Bath, Brunswick, and Lewiston. Additionally, Lisbon Falls and Freeport are a short 10-15 minute drive away, ensuring you're centrally situated for exploration and adventure.

Birdsong yurt is a truly unique and special lodging experience you won’t forget. An ideal couple’s getaway or perfect place for friends and family to relax and connect with loved ones. Located on one private acre of land surrounded by trees, you will feel close to nature while still having the comforts of modern conveniences. The deck is the perfect place to enjoy the Mountain View, watch the sunsets and stargaze with a glass of wine by the gas fireplace! Birdsong Yurt is not your average yurt! The yurt is a 30-foot Great Lakes yurt with lots of upgrades. Every detail has been thought through to make this yurt experience as cozy and relaxing as possible. The yurt can sleep two to four people, with a king bed in the main living area and a queen size bed in the back bedroom. Each bed has comfortable fresh clean bedding. The yurt features full kitchen to include a small refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, small 20" cook stove/oven, double cast iron sink, drip coffee pot, tea kettle, microwave, toaster/air fry oven, dishware/glassware for 2-4 people, silverware and cooking utensils, dish towels, dish soap, olive oil, vinegar, cooking spices, cookie sheets, muffin and loaf pans. The bathroom has a 48" stand up shower with rain shower head and is stocked with towels, hand soap, bar soap, hair dryer, starter toilet paper and paper towels for your stay. The living space has a sofa and two chairs perfect to sit and read a book by the fire, play some games or settle down and watch a movie on the 43" smart Roku tv. The yurt is heated with a comfortbuilt pellet stove which is easy to use and can be left unattended for a day out to come back to a nice warm space. We also have a Mini split heat pump which is an additional heat source but also provides air conditioning to keep you cool and comfortable in the warmer months. Outside space Enjoy the view while sitting on the deck with the gas fire place or sit by the wood burning fire pit. (We do not supply wood) but there may occasionally be some left on site. Location The location is perfect for anyone looking for adventure! We are 13 mins to Mt Abram and 27 mins to Sunday River Ski resort! There are many lakes and ponds nearby that are perfect if you are looking to go fishing, kayaking, or looking for a place to cool off in the summer. We are close to many hiking and ATV/snowmobile trails. The town of Bethel is a 15-min drive with lots of great activities including tubingand has some great restaurants, activities as well as a small grocery store.
