Weekend Trip to Harmony Mountain Farm

This was our second time here and will definitely keep coming back. It’s very private and Cindy is so welcoming and an amazing host. Our favorite part was waking up to the sunrise over the mountains on the porch outside with a cup of coffee. So relaxing and exactly the break we needed from our daily life.

I can’t say enough good things about this campsite. The setting is absolutely beautiful—rustic, peaceful, and surrounded by nature in a way that makes you feel truly immersed in the wilderness. I came for the solitude of winter camping, and it was perfect, but I’d return in any season without hesitation. What really sets this place apart, though, is the host, Nick. He’s hands down the best host I’ve ever had—thoughtful, incredibly helpful, and deeply knowledgeable. But more than that, he’s an artist and a steward of the land, and his farm is a true sanctuary. You can tell he cares deeply about the environment and about creating a meaningful experience for his guests. If you’re looking for a place that offers both seclusion and soul, this is it. Highly recommend!

This place is the bees knees! I surprised my wife for her birthday to a week at the cabin and were both blown away! Both Cindy and Bill were fantastic hosts, the property is gorgeous and the fresh produce was quite the added bonus. We plan to return as much as possible

Beautiful location, exceptional hosts! Thoughtful, friendly, and considerate. Ken and Jen went above and beyond my expectations. There was a foot or more of freshly fallen snow, and not only did Ken clear a path down to the site, he cleared a large area at the tent site as well. There was more than enough room for my tent, a picnic table and fire pit, and there was a healthy stack of split firewood ready to burn. I am looking forward to going back. Thank you Ken and Jen!

Nick is very welcoming and knows a lot about the surrounding area. The camp is Pristine... they truly are sacred sites, so peaceful and quiet. Clearly they have gone to a lot of effort to make this a truly magical place to stay. The sauna is really neat and the outhouses are downright charming. It is like Nick is playing out his dream camp and is so kindly sharing it with other hip campers. It’s clean and spacious and I would love to bring my entire family to stay here. It’s also not too far to drive to a cute little town with a country store, coffee shops, a library and other amenities.

Weekend Trip to Harmony Mountain Farm

This place is a true gem. If you're looking for a peaceful escape to nature hosted by an incredible farming family, come. The cabin is secluded and the pond, with its amazing wildlife, is yours to enjoy uninhibited. I needed a reconnection to nature and this checked all the boxes, and then some. I'm used to rustic camping so the hot water, shower, fridge, super comfy bed, woodstove, lamps, etc were luxurious in a place that felt like back country camping. Plus, it smells amazing! I can't wait to come back and visit the pond in another season.

Weekend Trip to Deer Bear Mountain View

I love staying in the shed on Craig’s land. It’s very cute and cozy! It was super cold, but the propane heater kept me warm. I feel like I would have enjoyed myself a lot more, if it was warmer outside, I could’ve used the outdoor shower. I would definitely stay again! But it really is a great location. Three minutes from downtown Littleton and within half an hour to the Franconia notch and Crawford Notch.

This land, now known by it's view gifting fields, is one of Sandwich's most treasured gems. The Historic Farm was purchased by Townsend Thorndike from the first colonizing family to claim ownership of this unceded land, the McCrillis family. The Queen's Property on Thomas Pond

THOMAS POND Thomas Pond is a beautiful 533-acre freshwater pond with over 7.4 miles of shoreline. Thomas Pond’s maximum depth is 64 feet, and the mean depth is 22 feet. Our guests are welcome to kayak, canoe, swim, fish, and paddle board from the shores of The Queen’s Property, or one of 5 Right of Ways on Watkins Shores Road owned by our Association. Access to your private waterfront is a short stroll through our woods. As our guest staying at The Queen's Property, you will also have free access to the Watkins Shores Road Association's boat launch. The boat launch is just a two or three minute walk down the road from your site. Our new dock is available to dock your boat during the day.. However, there is a small fee to dock your boat overnight (see "Extras") at our site. Just make sure you check for Milfoil or any other invasive plants before launching. LOCAL ATTRACTIONS NEAR CAMP Within 5 minutes of camp, you will find all the essentials, including food items, ice, firewood, goodies, gas, and RV supplies. In fact, you can even order your groceries online for pickup, (free at Hannaford Brothers Grocery and Walmart) either on your way to your campsite or when you need to resupply your camp (we would be happy to give you the details). During your stay, you may also want to take a trip off-site to explore all that the Lakes Region offers. Explore the historic oceanfront City of Portland, or the local Towns of Windham, Naples, or Bridgton. Portland is a 35 minute drive from The Queen's Property. The coastline around Portland is rugged and attractive with world-famous lighthouses dotted along its shorelines. Numerous locally owned shops and nationally recognized restaurants can be found tucked into its many harbors and shorelines. Closer to camp, enjoy strolling through the Town of Naples. Naples sits smack-dab in the middle of the Sebago Lakes Region. Sebago Lake abuts its western border and Long Lake abuts its eastern border. A short 8-minute drive from your site, Naples spoils its visitors with boat rentals, waterfront shops, and awesome restaurants. Further north is the Town of Bridgton. Bridgton is a 20-minute drive from your campsite. It offers its visitors a quaint downtown filled with local retailers, pubs, and restaurants. Enjoy the beaches of Bridgton’s Crystal Lake which sits on the edge of its downtown borders. The towns of Raymond and Windham also offer our visitors numerous restaurants, grocery stores, hardware stores, and gas stations. Once again, all within a short drive from your campsite (3-4 minutes). NEARBY STATE PARKS AND OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES If your idea of exploring is centered around outdoor activities, then Sebago Lake State Park is a 1,342-acre park that abuts the shores of Sebago Lake. It's one of Maine’s most popular parks. Located in the towns of Casco and Naples, the park is open year-round and is less than a 10 minute drive from your campsite. Within the park, you will enjoy protected forests, bike paths, and Sebago Lake beaches. Sebago Lake is a deep glacial lake, and by itself is 44 square miles of clear waters that abut Sebago Lake State Park. The park and the lake host some of Maine's’ best sandy beaches, water sports, fishing, boating, boat rentals, camping, picnic areas, boat launches, extensive woodlands, a wide array of critters, hiking trails, and walking trails. Sebago Park hosts various play areas for children with slides and swings. The summer sun is warm and the autumn colors are always abundant and beautiful. The entrance and parking lot are wheelchair accessible. If you are an avid hiker, The Queen’s Property is a short drive to numerous mountain ranges, forests, and peaks, all of which contain hundreds of miles of ATV and hiking trails. There are over 25 hiking trails within 10 miles of The Queen's Property and over 115 trails within 20 miles. Oh, and if you love winter sports you will love the Lakes Region. Numerous ski resorts, along with hundreds of miles of cross-country ski and snowmobile trails can be found throughout the area.

With some landscaping it became clear that beautiful campsites were forming. My father is 78 years old. The last thing he ever thought he would be doing with his retirement is jumping back on his excavator. Can't keep a good man down. Now here we are. Father and daughter. One day my children. 3 large tent sites and two camper sites. Future cabin and seasonal RV sites. A brook runs through the property but dries up after June. There is a small pond with rock stairs. Deer and turkey are frequently seen. Peace and serenity. This property does not offer complete seclusion. You will see other campers if all 3 sites are occupied. There is spacious distance. What this location offers is that it is centrally located to mountains, oceans, lakes,concert venues, restaurants, nightlife, shopping and antiquing. Traveling to NH and Massachusetts is a day trip. A few hours and your in central Maine. Cross the border into Canada. So much to explore or just relax. Stay a few nights or stay the season. 2023 is off to a great camping season. Already meeting new campers. Hopefully I'll see some familiar faces from 2022. A few upgrades. There is an outside water faucet, an outlet and an outside shower...hot and a privacy fence. There is a bathroom/shed that contains a bucket compost toilet. A compost bag and shavings/leaves/moss provided. The tent sites are off grid with a few conveniences. Please view my camper rental if you are seeking another experience. Goats are coming. Yes goats. Not until fall though. The frog pond population continues to grow. A neighboring town is finding 3 legged frogs in their ponds. Apparently caused by a parasite. Let me know if you find any.

The 100 acre wood located in the hills of Oxford County is a peaceful get away from the hussle and bussle of todays world. Recently selectively logged we discovered views of local mountains and decided to take advantage of the clearings. The cabin was built for me to steal away from the house and enjoy the wildlife, quiet, stars and silence. It is too peaceful to keep to myself so come and enjoy all that Norway Maine and the surrounding area has to offer! Learn more about this land: Welcome to Lulu's. Where you can get a little crazy under the moon or you can take in the peace and serenity of the stillness in the woods. Depends on what you are looking for! No neighbors to infringe on your ideal get away. The large cabin has a welcoming front porch to enjoy the amazing sunrises over Streaked Mtn. 100 acres of privacy to hike, watch wildlife and just relax. Cabin has outside facilities. Off the grid-no electric or running water. Cell service is adequate. 1 gallon of fresh well water provided for drinking and 10 gallons for washing/cooking. Bring your own linens for a queen size bed, twin bunk beds and a full pull out couch. 2 pillows are supplied with a pillow protective cover and pillow case which are washed after each guest. Pots, pans and utensils, are onsite which are washed between campers; trash bags, compost bags, paper towels, dish soap, dish towels and a 2 burner propane stove(green canisters needed) and an older propane table top grill are provided. Camp fire grill on site if you prefer cooking over open flame. There are some battery operated light switches and solar lights in the camp and outhouse. Please remember you will be required to remove trash and outhouse composting bag. Thanks and hope to see you at Lulu's 100 acre wood! Downtown Norway has quaint shops to browse! Norway Lake has a public beach and boat dock. Many hiking trails nearby-Noyes Mtn, Patch Mnt, Singpole and Streaked Mtn to name a few. ATV trails (also can be used for off-road biking)onsite connect with other towns for many miles and hours of riding. Plenty of lakes/rivers for kayaking. Casino, race track and breweries for night life. Oxford Hills has much to offer.

The tent is 50 yards up a rustic wooded path through the woods and the yurt is an 800 yard (10 minute) uphill walk from the parking area. Both sites are adjacent to our local network of hiking/biking trails that connect to the summit of Mount Agassiz, which offers stunning views of Franconia Notch. Additionally, within a half hour drive, you have access to some of the best hiking in the North East. We are happy to provide recommendations! The surrounding towns are home to three different breweries, numerous restaurants serving up delicious food and quaint main streets. Through the generous permission of surrounding landowners and the stewardship of the Bethlehem Trails Association, guests can access this trail network to enjoy the views from the summit of Mount Agassiz for top notch single-track mountain biking. We live one town over and are just a phone call away. If you walk the trails, you may encounter a friendly neighbor's dog but all our guests enjoy the privacy and solitude the mountain provides. Carter's Cross Country Ski Center and Shop has been a family-owned business since 1984. The land on which the trails have been built on has been in the Carter family since the late 1700's. The first Carter who came to Bethel was the first doctor in the area that helped Mollyocket, a Native American medicine woman. All the different generations that came along after were either farmers or loggers or both. Carter's XC Ski Center is located on the banks of the Big Androscoggin River. Our private established skiing/walking trails meander through the Maine woods all the way up to Farwell Mountain, overlooking Sunday River Ski, the Presidential and Mahoosuc Mountain Ranges and Mt. Washington. Nearby is Middle Intervale Farm, owned by John Carter, who produces his own vegetables and meat. He has a small, self-serve farm stand right on Intervale Road, next to Carter's. Learn more about this land:Site One is a lovely secluded site near our small pond. it's nestled in a Tamarack Grove, and you can listen to the peepers, frogs and crickets as they lull you to sleep under a deep night sky that is not polluted by light. There is a small fire pit for ambiance, cooking, or to keep the bugs at bay. The tent sites are level. Site Two is in a high and level section of the hay field. It is inclosed on three sides with maple trees, apple trees and other varieties of trees and shrubs such as wild black raspberry, and lilac bushes. This site has its own driveway and has room for multiple tents. This site also features a small fire pit. We are a working Saffron farm, as well as poultry keepers. Please do keep this mind while booking. While both sites are quite secluded, we are home and working most of the time which does mean you may see us or the animals and other farm equipment. The Wells River and Newbury area has much to offer the outdoors type. We are centrally located in Vermont providing easy access to most attractions in Vermont as well as the White Mountains of NH. Dogs must be kept on leash and it is imperative for us to know if you will be bringing dogs as we have four and they free range.
