Santa Fe Treehouse Camp

58 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents156 acres · Santa Fe, NM
This is a non-smoking, no candle facility. The camp was founded 40 years ago as a summer camp for kids. Now we welcome adults, and other groups to enjoy the vast and wild high desert nature up on this ridge. There are beautiful views and access to Shaggy Peak, the southernmost tip of the Rocky Mountains and the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range. Wander our land to enjoy various level hiking trails including a 20 minute hike to a creek and waterfall in the forest (some steep spots and creek is intermittent) or climb up Shaggy Peak (seasoned hikers only please). NOTE: We are up 1.3 miles of dirt road (with 5-7+% grade in a few short stretches) and are not near public transportation so you will need your own vehicle! Be aware that the roads can be snowy, icy or muddy and rutted ( 4-wheel or All-trak recommended in certain times of year). We don’t guarantee the road will be plowed.

NO. 10 RANCH

5 sites · Lodging40 acres · Estancia, NM
This cabin sits on a ranch that's been in this breathtaking valley for generations. There are six other amazing cabins spread throughout the 40 acres. We are only 14 miles from Manzano Mountains and about 31 miles from Salinas Pueblo Missions National Park. This particular cabin was once a pig barn and this ranch was once a fully operational ranch that served its owners and community so well. Wide open fields with grass that sways in the gentle breeze, pinon a cedar trees that provide cover to the deer that graze and bed down across the property and some of the most stunning views come together to create an experience that will stick with you an entire lifetime. 4WD is recommended to reach the cabin safely. We purchased this ranch in the winter of 2021 and are just so grateful for the chance to love and care for it...and share it with YOU! Provided there are not fire bans, enjoy snugging up to a warm campfire.

RLB Historical Stone Cabin

1 site · Lodging6 acres · Tererro, NM
The RLB stands for the last names of the given Ancestors (Rivera/Lawson/Bennett). This property & structures date back to President Grover Cleveland’s time. I found documents that he had signed for my grandfather. The main cabin was drilled to see how old it was. It was built somewhere around 1867 or 1868. The smaller cabins were built before the main cabin. The main cabin is one of the five Ladies of the Pecos River. There were only five cabins first built and settled in the territory that the logs were called dove and groove. The Stone cabin was built first and no record of the year other than it was before the main cabin. The cabin by the river was used as the kitchen until the main house was built. Then the River Cabin became the shed to store saddles and bridles, ropes & etc. My father moved the door from the side that is now a window to the front by the river and made it into a one room cabin. The front which is the kitchen now was added in the mid 80’s.

Hood Ranch

1 site · Lodging12 acres · Santa Fe, NM
We have 12.5 acres of property with a main house, a casita, and plenty of space to camp. At any one time we will only have either campers or folks renting out the Casita, so you will always be our only guests. The casita has hands down the best views on the property; while sitting on the portal you are able to see the Jemez mountains to the west and Sangre de Cristo mountains to the east. The casita is set up as a studio, there is a full bed and a pull-out couch, a large fireplace, and a kitchenette - including a 2-burner induction stove, fridge, and microwave. It also has a full bathroom, with a shower (no tub). For your comfort, the casita has a mini split which provides both A/C and heating. [CAMPING NOT AVAILABLE UNTIL SPRING 2024] For those interested in camping, we have a field, shown in one of the photos with the big cottonwood tree. It is out of site of our home, however you can see our neighbors home slightly. If you stay there, you are welcome to use the casita for the bathroom and kitchen. Our property is mostly made up of a large open field, at the end of which you dip down to the private lower field where you will camp. We have neighbors near by, but with 12.5 acres you feel quite far from them.

Gallina Canyon Wilderness Rentals

2 sites · Lodging299 acres · NM
Elizabeth is originally from the San Francisco Bay Area. Andrew is from Grand Rapids Michigan. In 1977 we bought the homestead complete with cows. We grew speciality organic produce for restaurants in Santa Fe, Taos, and Albuquerque for fifteen years. David is from the Los Angeles area. He came to the ranch in 2002. He is our caretaker, and webmaster.Dogs are very much welcome at the ranch and we even have a couch for dogs at Anasazi. At both camps, we provide dog bowls for food and water, and horse blankets for dogs to sleep on. Dogs must be on leashes at the main ranch where there are cats, dogs, horses, chickens, cows and other ranch animals. The canyon stretches more than seven miles, with a dirt road going through the canyon, and the road crosses Rio Gallina many times. Dogs and humans are welcome to explore the entire canyon system.Rio Gallina is shallow, and for most of the time it is not a hazard for dogs or humans. In addition to the river, there are several places where dogs can drink when exploring: two springs west of Remote Casita cross the river, and several seeps in the big grassy meadow farther west. The land is populated by Cottonwood trees, Pinyon pine trees, Ponderosa pine, sage brush, a few Junipers, many white and red cedars, some Russian olives, and tall grasses.
