Weekend Trip to Tree Day Weekend

What a great place to camp. It's the most organized and thoughtful campsite I've used. Not to mention being alongside your own, private creek. The cabin was very comfy, with wood stove heat, and well laid out for its size. They even offer battery-charging power banks for your phones and other devices. The camp kitchen was full of pots, glasses, cutting knives, trash and recycling cans, and a very powerful camp stove — all under a rainproof awning. It even had two french presses, which I never expect to have. The campfire was well laid out, and if it hadn't rained and snowed (early April), we probably would have played the cornhole or other outdoor games provided. Even the bathroom was charming, especially for an outhouse. I didn't realize it also had a shower. Lake Minnewaska (good for scenic hikes along cliff trails above the water, plus a waterfall) is about a 15 minute drive with views along the way up the mountain. Also enjoyed the local microbewery (and its comfy couch near a fireplace), Rough Cut Brewing. Highly recommend, and hope to return!

Weekend Trip to Majestic Farm & Organic Orchard

Such a great place! It has a perfect balance between camping and glamping. The Orchard tiny house was perfect for us (family of four), pretty secluded and private and beautifully located in the middle of the woods. It has a nice mattres, a table with benches and board games to enjoy. The fire pit and the picnic table are also very useful. We brought our own sleeping bags and blankets for the night, and meat for dinner and had a great time

Incredibly beautiful farm in a charming part of the Catskills, just a couple hours outside NYC. The cabins are really nice and tastefully set up and the kitchen and outhouse worked for our purposes. We were a large group and rented all four cabins on an extremely cold weekend in February. We expected it to be cold and it was (there's no heating in the cabins), but we were prepared with warm clothes and good gear. The place was snowed over and it was too icy to drive onto the property, and there wasn't running water due to the freezing temperatures, but the hosts were communicative ahead of time about all of this, responsive to questions, and very helpful. We were delighted to encounter peacocks and a bunch of hogs roaming around. Some of the hosts' dogs were unfriendly at times, which was a little unnerving.

Weekend Trip to Creekside Cabin

This was the second time at this location and again had a great time. Went to a local bar and grill and the locals were very nice. Sitting outside by the fire is always a wonderful vibe. Heard some interesting sounds again which is pretty cool. Hope to stay again soon 🍄

Great spot! It was a clear and cold night down into the 30s, perfect for star gazing. The tent was cozy enough and warmed right up in the morning with an easy starting fire in the stove. The wife, kids, dog and I were happy.

The tent is easily accessible and is fully stocked with kitchen supplies, lanterns, and necessities. Between what I brought and what was already there, I was living quite luxuriously in the woods. The wood stove works beautifully. I stayed very warm in the tent (it was 80 degrees in there!) while the outside temps reached a low of -15 degrees. Beautiful location and excellent host. My daughter and I stayed here for a few nights and loved it. The tent is great- clean, dry and large enough to walk around in freely. It's got distinct 'areas' which made it cozy- a wood stove area to sit by, a table with chairs to eat or play games at, a fully equipped kitchen area to cook at, and a sleeping area with two beds (full and twin) and some cots. Everything we needed was there, from cooking gear to utensils to cut and stacked firewood. The stove kept the interior really warm even when the tempts hit the low 30's outside. Outdoors had a nice fire pit, some chairs, a hammock, and total privacy. The outhouse was crazy clean, and even had a little LED light for those night visits. As others mentioned, you could faintly hear the highway but it quickly fades into the background and you don't think about it. Cory was an awesome, attentive, and responsive host. Finally, we were at trailheads in the High Peaks in 35 minutes. All in all, we couldn't have asked for anything more- we loved it and we'll be back! This property is the fulfillment of a life-long dream. I first was introduced to this area thirty plus years ago when I visited a nearby hunting camp. This is a place where you step into the pages of a calendar and are surrounded by peace and tranquility, yet the beautiful village of Schroon Lake is only a handful of miles away if you want to visit the public beach or local businesses. It's also surrounded by thousands of acres of state land- in fact, you can walk out of this site right onto endless chunks of public land. That day he fell in love with the Shawangunk Ridge. Towner's Country Paradise

This property is 45 acres of beautiful forest with 2000 feet of streamfront on the Mombaccus Creek where you can hang out and cool off on those hot summer days. Minutes from hiking, fishing and horse-riding and everything great about the Catskills. Rough Cut Brewery is a 10 minute drive with amazing beers and food when you don't feel like cooking at the campsite. 25 minutes to the action in New Paltz, 10 minutes to Walmart and 5 minutes to the Kerhonkson Diner, gas station, laundromat, pharmacy, liquor store etc.
