This stay with definitely a very memorable one! Stephanie was such an amazing and thoughtful person and made our stay very comfortable. We had some rough weather that we were not expecting and she was kind enough to extend us her help in any way she could; offering us extra firewood if we needed it and allowing us to stay in the cabins for better shelter. 10/10!!!!

Weekend Trip to Cozy Mountain Cabin

Not too hard to find. Road passable with AWD. Lovely, roomy almost new cabin. Wood stove did the truck, nice Solar LED lights outside and propane and battery lights inside. Decent cell service. Comfy beds. Nice outhouse. Everything you need except, water, food and a sleeping bag. The brook was roaring from snow melt and made for a nice white noise background. Many interesting things to do nearby.

3 nights at Cozy Mountain Cabin

The cabin was better than described and was well-stocked! There was a queen size futon and four twin mattresses on built-in bunks. Everything was clean and ready to use. There is a full size couch and chair as well as a table big enough for 6 people (4 chairs). If you’re doing any winter glamping, know that the road leading up to the cabin is plowed but narrow, and best for vehicles that ride a little higher. We parked about 150-200 yards away from the cabin in the plowed turn-around area and walked our supplies in. We wish we had brought our deer sleds to help drag belongings because it’s an uphill-walk but we will know for next time! The outhouse was well-maintained and had TP, hand sanitizer, and cleaning sprays. There is a motion-detector solar-powered light too. Also, no curtains, which seems to be typical of the area but we weren’t as secluded as we’d like to be to have no coverings on windows at night. Someone in a large blue truck came up to the cabin and turned around in the driveway and we think they also passed us the day prior near the turn-around point. There is no reason to have any traffic in that area so it was a little unsettling but I’d like to assume good intentions. In all, we enjoyed our stay and hope to come again!

I loved my stay at Fernando's Cabin! I was worried about being too cold given the temperature outside but the cabin was so cozy, I had to actually to turn the heat down. The basics were all provided. I used my phone as a hotspot with no problems but there was also a hotspot in the cabin. The property is so beautiful and the hot tub was great. Looking forward to staying again !

1 night at Grateful Acres Vermont

We stayed in the Daydream cabin on an 3 day bike packing trip through southern Vermont and it was an absolutely perfect “glamping” experience. The cabin and site were clean and well equipped. The location was amazing and very quiet, and we were even able to see a comet! Our hosts were both very friendly and accommodating! Truly a gem in an otherwise remote area that is a major upgrade from the first-come first-serve sites (bike packers take note). Definitely will come back in the summer to enjoy the lake.

Caroline's cabin was a lovely spot, cabin was clean, and stove kept us warm on a chilly evening. I only wish we could have stayed for more than one night. The sound of the stream nearby was very relaxing, and the location is remote and peaceful. The cabin was stocked with many basic supplies. Would highly recommend and hope to stay there again someday.

With help from our father's sawmill, and helping hands of friends and family, we were able to rebuild from the ground up. This cozy family owned cabin located in the town of Sunderland, Vermont. Surrounded by hundreds of acres of national forest, campers can enjoy the sounds of a swift stream flowing nearby, birds chirping in trees, and the rustling of leaves and branches in the breeze. This mountainous area has a rich array of wildlife, meadows, trails, and only a few miles away from the Battenkill River, a tributary of the Hudson River of New York. My grandfather moved an old ice house under the property in 1943 and built the existing camp in 1949. After having done selective logging two years ago we discovered a spot in the back of the property overlooking the pond and with the removal of a couple of trees have a beautiful view of Lincoln Pond. The wood stove works beautifully. I stayed very warm in the tent (it was 80 degrees in there!) while the outside temps reached a low of -15 degrees. Beautiful location and excellent host. As others mentioned, you could faintly hear the highway but it quickly fades into the background and you don't think about it. Cory was an awesome, attentive, and responsive host. Finally, we were at trailheads in the High Peaks in 35 minutes. All in all, we couldn't have asked for anything more- we loved it and we'll be back! This property is the fulfillment of a life-long dream. I first was introduced to this area thirty plus years ago when I visited a nearby hunting camp. This is a place where you step into the pages of a calendar and are surrounded by peace and tranquility, yet the beautiful village of Schroon Lake is only a handful of miles away if you want to visit the public beach or local businesses. It's also surrounded by thousands of acres of state land- in fact, you can walk out of this site right onto endless chunks of public land. Learn more about this land: This camp is conveniently located right off exit 28 on I-87. Your home away from home is a 14x17' Cabela's canvas wall tent camp on a wood platform. You will be situated on two acres of forest abutting thousands of acres of state land. The beautiful village of Schroon Lake and its public beach are just a few minutes drive away as well. This camp is equipped to be used all year. You and your family will be high and dry regardless of the weather. Enjoy the ambiance of a large Vermont Castings wood stove and stay warm on the crispiest days and nights the Adirondacks has to offer. Sit out under the stars on a cool night on the front porch or next to your private campfire. Nearly everything you need is provided. The camp is even equipped with propane for cooking and lighting and we’ll provide some dry firewood. Cooking utensils are also available as well as a bunk bed/futon that doubles as a couch, and two cots. There is also a kitchen table with 4 chairs. If you’re looking for 100% satisfaction in the Adirondacks, look no further. The only thing you’ll need is your sleeping bag, pillows., and some food. We look forward to serving you. This was built as a personal vacation retreat and we gladly share it now with adventurers and romantics! 40 Private Acres - Fire-pits, comfortable outdoor furniture, and plenty of room to roam will make this unique stay memorable, relaxing, with absolute privacy with stunning views. The bespoke wooden Tower boasts 360 degree views of the surroundings. It is built on piers and has windows on the perimeter. A large table, outdoor chairs on the 2nd Level platform is an ideal space for gathering or picnicking. The 3rd enclosed level is furnished with a built in brand new queen bed and long custom built-in couch with a bar table and 4 chairs. Small fridge and Fan on site. No Bathroom in Tower. The Cabin is fully equipped, applianced, and is furnished with a Full Bed in the Loft, 2 Twins in a Trundle Daybed, and a Cot and Blow Up are available. Full Kitchen, Shower, Toilet in the Bathroom. There is electric heat, AC and a ceiling fan. Kitchen is fully loaded and there are plenty of clean linens, blankets, and pillows. The 40 Acres are Pastured and Open but Wooded all around in every direction. There are no cut trails at the Retreat and as it is thickly wooded, we encourage our guests to come visit us at Slateville Farm where we have over 8 miles of our own trails, swimming holes, and our ever flowing cold spring. Enjoy any of the many national park trails within the Green Mountains or Adirondacks. Lake George, Merck Forest, Schroon Lake, Lake St. Catherine, Bomoseen are all nearby as well as the Battenkill River and the Mettowee for fishing. If you are a winter visitor, plenty of ski resorts are a little over an hour away like Stratton, Bromely, Okemo, or Killington to name a few. Come by and visit us down the road at Slateville Farm to enjoy our fresh produce/eggs, over 8 miles of private hiking trails, and numerous swimming holes. Firewood Pre-purchase Delivery Available!
