We are in the mountains with great climbing, next to a state park. The campsite is on top of a massive boulder that looks out over the grounds with tons of wildlife surrounding. We do have one Glamping site as well as well as a super luxurious pool house available. We rent small retro RV's as well, see our other listings!! There are 40 acres here to explore with small streams, wetlands and forests. We have 4 modern brand new bathrooms with a hot showers in a beautiful new bathhouse with a charging station for phones and tablets. Its pretty amazing!!!!! Moon In The Pond Farm

Well off the beaten track, it's scenic, private and peaceful. Camping at Moon In The Pond Farm is a little bit of heaven. There are six separate sites to choose from. All are in separate, different locations around the farm, so you have your own secluded spot to enjoy. (Though you may be sharing a field next to our Scottish Highland cattle!) Two are tent sites: the PondSide and the FieldEdge. There's one site for small/tiny RVs or Campervan. There's the BellTent--a bit of "glamping". And finally there's the HiddenCabin--a bed a roof and convenience. Each has a firepit with a small grill to cook over the fire. (all firewood provided) Our campsites are located in quieter areas of the farm. One overlooks the pond, three others are under the trees on the edges of different farm fields, one is a cabin nearer the farmstead. All require a beautiful, bucolic trek of 150-350 yards from the roadside parking--ensuring the quiet, natural experience. During the day times, you may see or hear farm work. At night it's lusciously dark and serenely quiet. You'll hear owls hoot, frogs croak, crickets chirp, foxes yowl and coyotes howl! In June and July the fields and trees light up like Christmas with fireflies, and you'll see the stars. During the week is the absolute best time--the local hot spots (or cooling down spots!) are much quieter, and all our campsites have reduced weekday rates. If you can, take advantage by adding a Thursday or Sunday night to a weekend stay. Wanna hike? We've got an awesome, easy hiking trail on adjacent Nature Conservancy preserved land. It meanders through woodlands, around rock ledges, through wetlands (on a 600' of boardwalk) and ends at a beautiful stream and pond with a gigantic beaver dam. Not far from here are numerous well-marked hiking trails (including the Appalachian Trail (with famous Bash Bish Falls) and several offshoots (Sage's Ravine, Race Brook Falls), Bartholomew's Cobble, Umpacheenee Falls, and others). Also in the neighborhood are opportunities for canoeing, kayaking, swimming, rock climbing, off-road, gavel-road and country-road biking, snowshoeing, cc skiing and pretty much any outdoor activity/adventure opportunity. Or... you can just chill and relax, sleep, or read the day away! Love food? This is Farm-to-Table for real! Never so close--the table's AT the farm!! Bring your cooking gear and get some of our wicked fresh organic food--veggies, chops, sausages, eggs, bacon, granola, yogurt, etc. Sear yourself up a real treat! Very nearby, as the Berkshires is an alternative cultural mecca, there are also numerous entertainment opportunities from many great restaurants to art, dance, music, spas, galleries, antique shops, museums, cafes and much more. It's still amazingly quiet at the farm where the Milky Way is clearly visible.

Queen's Cabin

It sits on 5 wooded acres and nearly a full acre of cleared land is fenced, making it safe for dogs to run off leash. The house sits within the fenced in acre so you can conveniently open the doors and let your dogs run free. There is one visible house across the street from the front of the cabin but it feels very private in the back of the house. There is a firepit. There are two outbuildings onsite that are not available for rent at this time. The cabin is 20 mins from Minnewaska State Park and Mohonk Mountain House, and 35 mins from Kingston, New Paltz, Gardiner, Phonecia and Woodstock. Local restaurants of note include Mill and Main, Roughcut Brewing, Westwind Orchard, Arrowood Farms, and Harana. The house is at the end of a shale road on a blueberry orchard. Guests are invited to pick all the fruit they like. The hillside’s high elevation provides an oasis of cooler temperatures during every summer heat wave. The panoramic view of the Catskills from the front porch has to be seen to be appreciated. across the property, smack in the middle of the blueberry bushes, is the latest addition to our eco-getaway: a YURT. It’s a slightly larger tiny house, albeit a round one with walls of cloth instead of wood. Like the cabin, the YURT has a full kitchen, hot shower, indoor toilet, woodstove, etc. If glamping is your thing, come and spend a night or two under the stars while sleeping indoors. while the setting is delightfully off the beaten path, it’s also a short drive to the cafés, breweries, and eateries in the charming hamlet of Livingston Manor. World class hiking, swimming, camping, and fishing is even closer. (Camping and hiking gear provided.) perhaps most importantly, our place offers more than a getaway. Guests learn how hygienic a composting toilet is, how easily a spring provides water for one’s home, the joys of heating with wood, etc. A few days on the blueberry patch is both a rewarding glimpse of the sustainable life and an invaluable education in how comfortable a small house can be. Overview

About 90 minutes north of New York City, this college town sits on the Wallkill River facing dramatic stone cliffs. New Paltz has a laid-back feel, with corner pubs and farmers markets to grab camping ingredients. The historic village is close to the Hudson River and the Catskill Mountains, so it's easy to make day trips to both. Just 8 miles away, the Shawangunk Mountains loom on the horizon. Locals call them the Gunks. The Minnewaska State Park Preserve is here, offering hiking trails, waterfalls, and world-class rock-climbing. Bikes can explore the lovely carriage roads, and there's swimming at Lake Minnewaska. The Mohonk Preserve is a protected section of this same mountain ridge. The recently constructed Samuel F. Pryor III Shawangunk Gateway Campground is here. The tent-only campgrounds offer both walk-in and drive-in spots, plus a communal cooking area with a pavilion. New Paltz has about a half dozen private campgrounds within a short drive. Options range from RV parks with full hook-ups to private farms, rustic cabins, and outdoor resorts with swimming pools. Less than an hour's drive away, campers can pitch a tent at other large public parks. The 14,000-acre Fahnestock State Park is to the south. To the north is the Kenneth L. Wilson Campground near Slide Mountain, the Catskill's highest peak.
