Welcome to Grindstone Farm, a well-established organic farm in Upstate New York, near Lake Ontario and the famous Salmon River of Pulaski, NY. We specialize in premium organic produce, particularly our asparagus and blueberries. Our farm features a beautiful blueberry pond where we host campers, farm to table dinners, music festivals and events.
Our current camping area is a private rustic space with water views around our blueberry pond, tucked away from the main roads. We can accommodate RVs and also offer rustic cabins, although they have not yet been opened for the season. Currently, we welcome all car and tent campers. If interested in rustic cabin inquire about availability. We will always take special request and needs under consideration, so always feel free to reach out.
Amenities include flushing toilets, a covered pavilion with accessible grills, tenting sites, washing stations, a fire area, and during the summer months, kayaking and swimming. Local attractions and sites, if you choose to leave our little slice of heaven include.... Lake Ontario Beaches and kayaking waterways, Salmon River and Salmon River Fishing, and Salmon River Falls (beautiful 110 ft waterfall), with of course limitless day trips in every direction.
Consider us for your intimate camping excursions, when you seek just peace and nature, but also for large groups and celebrations. Join us as well, for our hosted events such as music, food, festivals, etc where events will be announced primarily on Instagram and Facebook.

We are busy with our bees and at the same time want to share the wonders of our farm with folks so we are very fortunate to have our neighbors Debbie Kahl and Tracy Yardley manage the HipCamp bookings on our behalf. Debbie lives very close and will be your contact person. She will be happy to answer your questions and will meet you when you arrive and introduce you to the your camping site. The cabin is located in a remote area of Bear Swamp State Forest. It is about 5 miles from the nearest paved road but has seasonal roads that take you to the cabin. There are many close attractions like Skaneateles Lake and Carpenters Falls. The Cabine doesn’t have electricity or water but we do have a generator. We do not have a shower or bathroom But we have a outhouse. We do ask people to bring their own gas if you want to run the generator and woods to make a fire.

Where to go
Hudson Valley & the Catskills
Close enough to NYC for a weekend break, head to the Hudson Valley to hop between Hudson River towns, picturesque vineyards, and farm-to-table restaurants. There’s great camping and hiking at Harriman State Park and Bear Mountain State Park, while Hudson River Islands State Park has kayak-in tent sites reachable only by water. The Adirondacks
With more than 6 million acres of rugged mountains, untamed forests, and glittering lakes, the Adirondacks is New York state’s largest park and home to its highest peaks. There are miles of hiking trails, canoe trails, and scenic byways to explore, plus dozens of campgrounds to choose from. Or, if you’re feeling adventurous, seek out a secluded spot in the backcountry to pitch your tent—dispersed camping is permitted on state land in the area.
Central New York & Thousand Islands
Woodlands, lakes, and more than a few waterfalls dot the landscapes of central New York. In summer, head to the lakeside beaches at Green Lakes State Park, Gilbert Lake State Park, or Bowman Lake State Park, all of which have popular family campgrounds. To the north, the Thousand Islands region is a favorite for coastal campers with its fairy-tale castles, island campsites, and Great Lakes Seaway Trail.
Finger Lakes
With 11 lakes, a dozen state parks, and three renowned wine trails, you won’t get bored in the Finger Lakes. Check out waterfalls at Watkins Glen State Park and Buttermilk Falls State Park, fish for trout and salmon at Keuka Lake State Park, or lounge along white-sand beaches at Fair Haven Beach State Park.
