What a wonderful weekend I had in this space! I stayed for two nights to get away from busy Portland and have some quiet work time on my dissertation. Jai was kind and helpful and gave me a tour of their beautiful land. I loved it all and would come back and recommend to anyone.

Would highly recommend staying here. The location is perfect as well for visiting Silver Falls State Park (~20m) with the cozy town of Silverton being close by (8 min). Jim greeted us and was great to hear the amazing history around the farm. There are plaques around the property explaining some of the history and the land is so peaceful. A creek is near the Adler Meadow and when we were there all of the flowers were starting to bloom. The Alder Meadow faces west as well for a perfect sunset view with extra warmth in the evening. We'll be back!

Weekend Trip to Amico Roma Farm

Just book it! This historic farm has all the charm of a storybook with a rich history(there are information plaques all around the garden, orchard and cabins, so make sure to walk around). The cabins are well stocked with everything from ample outlets to extra bedding to kindling for your woodburning stove. Jim was such a warm and excellent host. While we didn't end up needing anything I'm sure he would have been more than accommodating 😁 Silverfalls is only 20ish mins away and an epic adventure. There's also a small town just a few mins away from the farm, so if you need anything you can just pop into town. I hope you stay here so you can experience the peace and beauty yourself

I’ve stayed at many yurts in my life, but nothing comes close to comparing to Carly’s place. Every need is taken care of. The surrounding grounds are beautiful and the trails make for peaceful hiking. Every night we had a roaring fire and stayed so warm and comfortable. Our dog was the happiest he’s ever been. The bathroom is incredibly luxurious for camping and I can’t wait for the sauna to open up soon! We will be coming back

2 nights at The Secret Garden in Portland

The Heated dome was an amazing experience that I would highly recommend. Dom and Amanda and their little helpers were extremely kind, generous, and fun hosts. The accommodation was very clean, cozy, and close to the vibrant South East neighbourhood of Portland. It was very easy to get from the property to so many great bars and restaurants. Truly a magical experience!

Beautiful setup. The yurt has all the amenities and yet still feels like camping. It’s exactly what we were looking for. I can tell that the owners really put their heart into this build. Their property is big enough to roam around, and it’s fun to see the animals (both wild and tame). We especially liked Dandy the sheep!

Lodging was beautiful, minimalist, & natural, which is what I was looking for. The land, trails, & waterfalls on this property are truly one of a kind. Enjoyed staying in the little trailer by the creek! The sounds of the birds and water were wonderful. Lots of room to wander around and close to nearby amenities and the Molalla River.

The was a great place to come even for a rainy March getaway. It would be fantastic in nicer weather when one could have fun playing on or in the river. We saw all kinds of critters, including many, many birds. The host was super, very helpful and kind. The common area was well stocked with the things we forgot to bring. We will be back!

Weekend Trip to Sweet Relief

9/10 Wonderful host, it was clear Trent took care in planning out the experience. Hot tub was perfect, cabin was perfect. 2 heat sources in the cabin. If you love wood-burning fires of different kinds, this is the place for you. Just a note - if it's gonna be rainy when you go, do not bring anything you don't want to get dirty! It's a bit of a walk if you need to get back to your car and the path is quite muddy 😅

Weekend Trip to Batwater Station on Columbia River

Another spontaneous trip to be next to a body of water, this time is the Columbia river. Just wow! Such an amazing property Karin has, she is very responsive, friendly and overall a star host. Thanks so much for letting us immerse in nature in your beautifully maintained paradise. We’ve had a lot of animal sounds, from different birds singing, frogs chatting to howling coyotes or (maybe wolves) we dont know. We loved the outhouse with complete kitchen facilities, toilet and bathroom, that is heated! Campsites and other forms of accommodation (yurt, cabin & boathouse) were distant from each other and we felt our spot was private even though it’s in the roadway. We really loved our stay here, with the amazing sounds of nature, serenity and the views were truly outstanding! We’d love to come back.

My only regret about this stay was that it wasn’t longer. I stayed in the Big Tiny House and it was adorable! It had everything I needed and more. There were so many little touches and the sunset and sunrise were stunning. I hope I get to stay again some time!

GeerCrest Farm was settled by the Geer family in 1848, and is still owned and stewarded by the family. The house Ralph and Mary Geer built in 1851 stands and is one of the oldest in Oregon to remain in the same family. The farm features creeks, forests, pastures, orchards and gardens as well as the historic buildings. Currently we have four friendly sheep and a small flock of Mallard ducks to keep us company. The Pioneer Memorial Orchard features over 50 vairieties of pre 1850 apple trees. The Heritage Grove has ten fruit and nut trees that were recognizeds as a memorial the the early pioneers of the nursery trade by Oregon Heritage Tree program. The 20 acre property, offers three tent camp sites Including the Tree House site, as well as two forest cabins and a small forest bunkhouse (sleeps 6). Our peaceful, small farm offers a reflective immersion in nature and history among the occasional quacking of ducks and baaas of sheep. The scenery from all corners of the farm is incredible - a favorite is the westward view of the valley pasture at sunset -- called "Homer's View" after famous political cartoonist and Geer descendant, Homer Davenport. No matter which camping site you choose, the sounds of the creek, pond frogs, or conversing owls are sure to lull you to sleep. Feel free to roam the farm, but always leave gates as you find them, open or closed. Please say hello to our sheep and barn cats (they may say hello first). Explore the Heritage Grove of historic trees, the Memorial apple orchard and pear glade with varieties circa 1840s, indulge your senses in our medicinal herb garden, and chat with our farm family while they water the veggie gardens, if you so wish! Creekside campground with showers has 4 separate sites: 1. The campground with a kitchen and hot/cold potable water and 20 amps of power. Includes 3-4 picnic tables and a covered stage area with power. This can hold 8-10 large tents comfortably. Price includes up to 10 people. Children under 12 are not counted and are free (except to their parents). 2. Tiny Creekside cabin has no power and a queen size bed with bedding and towels included. All sites have shared access to hot showers, portable toilets, and potable water next to Outdoor kitchen and dinning area. Guests love staying with us; "Brenda's property is fantastic. We had a gathering of friends for a long weekend on this property (rented the cabin too) and had the best time. Having the creek to splash around in, warm running water for showers and washing dishes, trails to explore, and the delivery of fresh produce and eggs from the property far exceeded our expectations. Brenda is the best host - she answered all my questions quickly and was very generous with our group. Definitely recommend!"

Being able to communicate in five languages gave us the opportunity to interact with people from various cultures, try new foods, and learn about new history and experiences. We love seeing the world, with our favorite destinations being Mexico, Dubai, and Canada. Also, we love camping and decided to create a little private camping ground and farm lodge for people who wish to camp without huge expense. We try hard to make each guest’s stay wonderfully memorable. Owner will be close by to answer any questions but gives you a space and privacy.
