Directions were clear and arriving at the camp was amazing. It is beautiful and very spacious. Also the family who own the land are extremely friendly.

3 nights at The Windward Forest

Quiet, pastoral and relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3-nights stay at the Herland Forest. Walt Patrick is a wonderful host and a true Practitioner and Believer of Sustainability. He even took us for a tour of his domesticated animals (sheep, lambs, goats and chickens)!

1 night at Lefever Holbrook Ranch

Staying at the lookout was a cool experience, even in the fog. Paulette was very friendly and showed us around the farm too. We hope to come back

Weekend Trip to Action Sports Roamer Sites

Having your own private bathroom that is code protected is nice. The bathrooms have a great set-up with plenty of hooks and places to put your things. Some people leave their stuff behind however. I was there on a rainy weekend so it was pretty quiet. I got in several walks in between rain showers and found the grounds very nice. The campsite I utilized was a bit messy due to being under trees but that's life in the forest! I was able to eat my dinner on the picnic table provided. Overall, I recommend this place. Sidney, my contact person and greeter, was fabulous! She was friendly and opened gates for me and then took me to the bathrooms and made sure I had the codes sent to me in a text. She told me to text her any time if I had any questions or problems.

Weekend Trip to Rhoda's Joy

Rhoda's camping area was green, shady and quiet. She was very kind to us when we had a problem with our RV. By using Hipcamp's directions instead of relying on Google maps we found our campsite with no problem. The compostable toilet was clean and not smelly at all.

1 night at Marmot House Old Growth Forest

If you're looking for an experience in a remote forest which is also near civilization (and not far from breathtaking views of Mt. Hood), and a place which feels wild yet cozy, look no further! I had a very enjoyable stay, the hosts were welcoming, and it was quiet & peaceful. If you need a ton of elbow room for your vehicle, it might feel a bit on the cramped side, but for my car it was no problem. I hope to stay again soon!

My girlfriend and I had a really nice stay at Rhoda’s Joy. The setting is peaceful and surrounded by nature, making it a great spot to unwind. The space was well-maintained and had everything we needed for a comfortable night. We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout the site. The hosts were friendly and made sure we had what we needed. Overall, a great option if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway.

I loved staying here specifically for the sauna and cold plunge!!! The cold plunge is a park of the creek that is sectioned off into the perfect place to plunge. The tent was warm and the bedd were comfy. there are restaurants a 5 min drive away which is a huge plus!

Weekend Trip to Secluded Creekside Camp

Chris’ and his grandson were so nice and made us feel really welcome. The land was so nice and I would not hesitate to rent it again (hopefully this summer). Not only was the grassy area lovely, the firepit was huge (grand scale size). There are lights strung up in the shelter as long as you have a generator (or in our case, a portable battery) to plug into. The covered patio area is perfect and since we knew it would rain, we were able to easily move two of the tables and set our tent up underneath the shelter to keep us dry. It was very cold last night, but nothing a few inches of wool blankets can’t handle and the shelter took care of keeping us dry. The land is right next to a small beautiful river so between the sound of the river and the rain, we were asleep in no time. The portable toilet was very clean and stocked with hand sanitizer and supplies. We were used to taking care of our own trash and packing it out but be aware and bring supplies if you need. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful gem. Side Note: Dog owners: This place is well taken care of and we didn’t come across any dog poo and took care of our own dog’s messes. Please be aware and do the same so we can all enjoy this lovely place.

2 nights at Secluded Creekside Camp

Our family really enjoyed our stay! We knew we needed a covered area since rain was in the forecast and this spot was perfect. Plenty of space for our tent (plus more if you need), the creek was not too loud and very soothing, also not especially deep if you have younger children. Huge fire pit! Very quiet! The area is flat and clean. There’s a charcoal grill and propane fueled fire pit in the covered area (propane not provided). Plenty of table space and the porta potty was very clean. I would recommend this area for families. As rookie campers we felt very comfortable here! We’ll be back 😊.

2 nights at Waterwheel Park

Private feeling spot in the woods. As people mentioned, the privy is a nice setup. You are next to 2 roads but traffic is very very light. It rained most of my visit but the many tall trees made it better.

3 nights at Rivers Ridge

We had such a wonderful, relaxing time on our visit. The description of the site doesn't do it justice. Robert was so friendly and accommodating. The setting was so peaceful and the view was outstanding. We will definitely be returning. Thank you!

1 night at Marmot House Old Growth Forest

Welcome to Marmot House. Tucked back in a patch of old-growth forest, the campsite I stayed at was near the communal fire gathering area, which I took advantage of. I arrived on my motorcycle, and Jim and Arehen were incredibly accommodating, making sure I had everything I needed. I spent too much time riding around on the mountain to explore the Marmot House as much as I would have liked. Good excuse for a return trip

1 night at Lefever Holbrook Ranch

Extraordinary views and delicious produce! This was a really special place to camp, enjoy the night sky and the expanse of the Washington landscape. Paulette was an amazing host and shared much about the ranch and its workings on the farm tour. Plus amazing pickles and meat from the farm store!

1 night at Action Sports Roamer Sites

What a fantastic place to stay. We were greeted at the gate by Noah, who gave us all the information we needed to have a comfortable stay. (Including where we would find an excellent dinner, just a few minutes down the road.) The tent was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Restroom and shower were a very short walk. Plenty of parking and dog friendly. The other guests were quiet and respectful. Absolutely recommend this place to others.

1 night at Marmot House Old Growth Forest

I loved staying here! It was dark and wet when we arrived and they let us stay at their Huckleberry Cabin. They built it themselves, it was so nice and comfortable. Next time I pass through, I know where I’ll be staying!

Weekend Trip to Secluded Creekside Camp

Chris’s site was amazing! I loved having the creek next to site, and hearing it while I slept. The covered area and propane fireplace provided a great place to hang out during intermittent rain. We were lucky to have no rain for a day and enjoyed the large fire pit. Chris and their family were great hosts and extremely friendly! I would recommend this site to any large group or individuals looking for a relaxing place to enjoy the nature.

With the RV site, you have the option to book the treehouse as an “Extra”. Only one "campsite" is available on the property. Which means you're the only people out here. Peace and privacy abound. You can choose wherever you want to put your tent. I open up my land to only one group at a time. Cell service is strong at the property. Work remotely while overlooking the view, and multiple picnic table locations. The treehouse has stools and countertops/desktops to work from if you choose to rent that as well.
