Weekend Trip to Hobby Farm

Check in process was easy! The host greeted us and helped us get settled in. Potable water, electricity, and plenty of animals to look at!

We enjoyed this quiet spot with a beautiful overlook of the valley. Crystal, our host, recommended an excellent restaurant, “Mason,” in nearby Sherwood which we really enjoyed.

Just right for a quick overnight with a smaller RV , next to road but not too noisy at night

We did a last minute booking to Shaynel’s property and she was able to accommodate. Upon arrival we needed a code for security gate and entered no problem. The site was perfect for us, didn’t have power right away but Shaynel’s husband Ben came right out to turn on breaker. Would absolutely recommend great communication and very nice people.

From first contact to last, Allison, Neal, Lawrence, and the whole Camp Colton team made us feel welcomed and cared for. It's a beautiful campus with excellent facilities. Perfect way to keep dry in the wet Oregon spring when tent camping just ain't the vibe.

Weekend Trip to Camp Colton

We didn’t want to leave! It was super cozy and fishing in the pond right outside the door, hiking the trails and hanging by the fire - all fab. And the staff is warm and welcoming. Thank you!

Shawn met me on arrival, helped me position my rv on the site and get hooked up with electricity and water. Clean, level, attractive camp site. Directions accurate and easy to follow. Beautiful property, friendly and welcoming host, would highly recommend and would book again!

Jerilyn was a great communicator and made the check in process easy. The property was quiet at night and a restful place for us to stay while we visited family in the area. There is a water hook up and 20 amp electric. There is a septic available to use. We will definitely come back again.

1 night at Buena Vista Lavender Farm

My only regret about this stay was that it wasn’t longer. I stayed in the Big Tiny House and it was adorable! It had everything I needed and more. There were so many little touches and the sunset and sunrise were stunning. I hope I get to stay again some time!

We loved our short stay at Everett’s farm! It was quiet, serene, and easy to find. Plus Everett was lovely and super warm and welcoming. We can’t wait to return when the lavender is in bloom! Our only note to others booking is that you should plan to arrive in the light if you’ll be towing or need to maneuver anything substantial. It’s dark out there, which is super lovely — once you’re set up! Also note that Site 1 and Site 2 are directly next to each other in case you’re looking for privacy. Thank you for having us, Everett!

This is a lovely, tree-filled area close enough to city life for good food and activities, but quiet enough to hear the birds sing and chirp. The area is clean and well maintained. Shawn is very kind and responsive. Highly recommend!

Downtown Portland and the popular SE Hawthorne shopping district are a 10 minute drive by car. The TriMet train station is 1 mile from this location and this train can take you into downtown Portland and to PDX airport. TriMet is an easy walk down the paved bike path from this location. We would love to share our beautiful wooded 8 acres. We live here but your site is far enough from our house for privacy. The RV pad is surrounded by trees. Our RV space will easily park a 38ft. RV. It has full hookups with either 30 amp or 50-amp power. You are only 2 miles from shopping and only miles from Lackamas Lake and Battleground Lake for hiking, swimming, biking, boating and fishing. Down the road about 1/4 mile is Velvet Acres barn where you can buy fresh produce in July, August and September, then in October it's a Pumpkin Patch. Be sure while you’re here you visit Vancouvers waterfront downtown. Great shops and excellent places to eat. On weekends there’s a large farmers market that has all kinds of fresh produce. While here be sure to drive out to the gorge, it is one of the more breathtaking sites in the NW. We are 10 miles from the Columbia River and 36 miles from Multnomah Falls. On a nice day you can drive to the beach to cool off, it's about 90 miles to Longbeach. Being in the wetlands we have a lot of trees for privacy. The RV area is at the end of an area that is gated for security. There is a grassy area outside your door and a grassy area out back of your RV. We have trails you are welcome to use. You will see bunnies and all kinds of birds as well as deer that visit now and then. Although they have built homes on the west side the fence and trees give plenty of privacy. They recently started a home that should be done within a month. Contact me for updates. This is a perfect place if visiting the area or it’s a great place for snowbirds or workers that are in this area for weeks or months. Text me ahead for openings. We are offering up an area on our property for clean, friendly, quiet campers that want to get out of the city and enjoy some peace and quiet. We are located in Banks, Oregon. We are approximately 45 minutes west of downtown Portland. Our camping area is about 5 acres and offers something for everyone. If you have a large RV and need a safe and quiet spot to stay for the night, we got you. We have a large fire pit, Adirondak chairs, a large picnic table, and a swing set for the kids. Badminton and cornhole available on request. Family get-togethers or birthday parties are welcome! We are located just 1.5 miles from The Banks-Vernonia Trail. Bike campers are welcome! Feel free to bring along your 4-legged friends as well. We do not have a fence, so if you do not trust your dog of a leash, please keep them tied up. We have a lot of deer that pass through and untrained dogs love chasing them. Banks has a few restaurants to choose from: Subway, Dairy Queen, Main Street Pizza, Mary's Mexican Food, Hop-Cycle Brewing to name a few. There is also a Supermarket in town just in case you forgot your S'mores supplies, Spirits, or campfire wood. We are about 20 minutes away from McMenamins Grand Lodge, in Forest Grove, which hosts some great live concerts during the summer. We have a few fishing spots within about 30 minutes of the property. Hagg lake, Horning's Hideout, Dorman's Pond and the Wilson River are all popular spots. We have clean well water and 50A electrical hookups. We do not offer dumping of black water, but you can empty your tank at the Elks club in Forest Grove (25-minute drive) for free or Camping World over in Hillsboro. I don't mind if you drain your gray water on the property as long as you use a longer hose to keep it away from the immediate camping area. The parking area for RV's is fairly level and easy to get in and out of. During the late summer, our 5 apple trees produce great fruit. We also have 2 plum trees, and some blackberries. Feel free to pick what you would like. Currently, we do not have any public bathroom facilities available for campers, so please plan accordingly. Please, only book if you have an RV with working plumbing. **We will not accept tent campers** Please feel free to ask me any questions, we are willing to make accommodations for special situations/events if possible!
