1 night at McKenzie River Spot in Rainbow

Loved the site position near the river. the sounds and native landscape! Although the site was somewhat close to the house, It felt very private.

Weekend Trip to Upriver Paradise -"Private Retreat"

Everything was great!!! The directions to the location were easy to navigate. The location was amazing taken care of so beautifully!!! Steve did a wonderful job at decorating it with little knick knacks and trinkets to make you feel at home, but the site still had an outdoor camping vibe!! The river roared and sounded beautiful at night. The chairs on the river bank were the best part, to just sit out there and relax. It was cold but I bet in the summer it will be a nice spot to sit and look at the stars and catch the water glistening off the moonlight. Can't wait to go back!!

This site was amazing and very peaceful. Steve was a fabulous host and made sure everything was in order. The site was huge, had two hookups, multiple chairs, fire pits, and tables. It really had anything you need. Aside from big trucks going by on the road you couldn’t hear any noise over the river as you are set back. I definitely plan on staying here again.

Jered and Stefanie’s site was absolutely perfect! The site was very easy to access, quiet, and very private. The view was phenomenal with the addition of a brilliant sunset. The cemetery next door was so interesting to walk through with unique history of the area. Although they had had a lot of rain the site was totally dry. We will be back!

2 nights at Brownsville Hillside RV Site

Jered and Stefane have spectacular views of the surrounding farmland and the little town of Brownsville from their Hipcamp! Our camp spot was level, well maintained, and equipped with all the basics for camping. We loved having some open space to take our German Shepherd off leash. Randy’s Coffee shop in town is a walkable distance away and has the best scones ever! We would definitely visit Jered and Stefanie’s Hipcamp again!

What a cool and unique spot! Steve was awesome helping us get our 40' 5th wheel in place. It was tight, but we made it! We unfortunately had to leave after 1 night but it was a gorgeous spot. Will definitely be back!

1 night at Brownsville Hillside RV Site

Jered is always very communicative and quickly quickly answers any questions you may have. They have continued to make improvements to the property, including widening the access to the site for better access for motorhomes. The location is not too far off I-5. It’s peaceful and has a nice view from the pad. The historical Pioneer Cemetery right next-door adds a few acres of birding habitat in season, which is a plus for me. We will be back.

What an amazing spot. You could easily fit a few campers in here. We were solo just cause we like it like that. The camp is immaculate, the host Steve was amazing. You do get a little road noise due to the proximity of Hwy 126, but it's well worth it.

Absolute perfection. This place is one very large single campsite with 2 seperate hookups for a family or small group. It is in trees just feet away from the Mckenzie River. It has been immaculately cared for and is a fabulous lay out and design. The host was thoughtful about everything including putting a bamboo wall around the porta potty. It is so peaceful with the sound of the river. We were there 4.5 days and never saw another person. This is now in our list of places to return. And I can not do it justice with words.

1 night at Brownsville Hillside RV Site

This site has a nice hillside view overlooking open fields, with some wooded tracts. Jered is a kind and considerate host who made sure we got situated and had what we needed. We had a peaceful night and the area is good for birdwatching as well. I was entertained by a cloud of Pine Siskins and spotted a Townsend‘s Warbler as well.

The road department put a sign up that makes our neighbors road look like it should be Crawfordsville Dr. NO GATE If you see a gate you are at the wrong driveway. Again NO GATE 5 Acers of woods, 1 Acer of field/grassland, and one are on the hill with gravel for up RV's. Property is only 0.35 miles from Calapooia river access (local secret spot). 1 mile to McKercher Park and additional river access. General store 0.75 miles away. Next to the historic Crawfordsville Covered Bridge. 8 miles from Brownsville, this town has been featured in multiple movies. 13.8 miles from Foster lake. At the bottom of the property there is a tree house, fire pit, and large grass field that could accommodate 20+ tents. Upper area is a rock parking area with RV hook ups. gas firepit, gas BBQ, and picknic table. I only rent to one group at a time. Rarely camping there when campers are there but father is on site (the grey house) to assist if needed.

Property is situated on 14 acres bordering the Historic Pioneer Cemetery (don’t think creepy, think rad historic gravesites from late 1800’s to current times. Many Veterans honored to live there). Beautiful sunsets to the west and is 1.25 miles from downtown Brownsville, a quaint historic town of 1700 people located on the Calapooia River which flows through town and surrounds our 30+ acres Pioneer Park. Our community has many events such as Carriage Me Back (1923 themed festival - early May), Pioneer Picnic (Parade, festival - June), Rally on the River (Vintage Trailers - July), City-Wide Garage Sale (July), Stand By Me (1986 movie partially filmed here - Late July), Antique Fair and Classic Car Show - Early August), etc. Wonderful business to support and 30 minutes to Eugene/Albany.

Off Season rates - November 1st to March 31st Centrally located in the McKenzie Valley near McKenzie Bridge Oregon. Upriver Paradise is your private, gated retreat with elevated views and tranquil sounds of the McKenzie River that overlooks forestry land. Steps away to your private river access with approx. 150 ft of river frontage to explore, cast a line, take in the wildlife, waving to rafters and drift boats floating by. Included are two power and potable water sites, up to 8 guest. Power pedestals have 50-30 and 20 amps at each location. Both locations have a 50' power extensions(30amp) and extra water hoses if needed. There are two picnic tables, fire pit, extra seating, garbage, WIFI and one portable toilet on site for use during your stay. There is no septic on site for gray or black waste There is a dump site approx. 1 mile west. For larger groups if needed: Upon request (2) additional power and water connection sites can be accommodated with same amenities above, up to (6) additional guest or up to (14) total per night, for an additional fees. On the east end of the 2.5 acre property, there are two short term rentals. A three bedroom house and a one bedroom cabin listed on ABB-VRBO for family or friends, just a short walk to camp. Trailers, large RV’s and tent camping are not permitted at this time. The site has 50/30 amp and 120 volt outlets, as well as water and Wi-Fi. The property has many areas to set your camp chair or hang your hammock, and lots of short paths to explore. Recreation opportunities abound around here: hiking, biking, fishing, hot springs, cold springs, waterfalls, lava beds, whitewater boating on the river, and flat water paddling on the reservoirs.
