Everything was as advertised and more. YouTube was helpful to acclimated. Heat works great- cabin definitely works well for non-summer camping. Lovely spot and reasonable drive into Pittsburgh, plus close to lots of trails and nature.

This was our second time there, which should say something. It really turned in this place into a great spot to get away and to explore some of Pennsylvania’s Best. Incredibly friendly and caring hosts. My wife, son and I went there to be close to good fishing for opening day at Trout season. It rained nearly nonstop the entire time we were there. Yet, we still had a great time.

This was an exceptional camping site. My don and daughter had a blast on the paddle boat and we were lucky enough to catch stars overnight. Will definitely be back!

We loved tent camping here. Watching the welcome video was super helpful. The creek sight truly is amazing because you can hear the creek the whole time. We had some rainy weather come in, but down at the creek there wasn’t much wind. The other campsites are a good distance away. The bathroom/shower is warm which was great in the cold weather we had while camping.

2 nights at Muddy Myst

Our family had a great time at the pond site at Muddy Myst. The amenities were perfect and exactly as described. The property was clean and beautiful. Liam has done a great job at making sure his guests are taken care of, while also allowing for privacy and relaxation.

We had a great weekend camping at the unique setting of Fairfield Farm. Bill and Erin were wonderful hosts. The farm fresh eggs they offer are great and the option of unlimited firewood takes the guesswork out of the equation. The grass airstrip with an old plane at the edge of the field with the mountains in the background make for great photos. We definitely recommend staying here, it’s peaceful and serene.

I have been camping here a lot, Solo camping and with friends. I feel safe solo camping in here, when you get in the site it’s gated and very private. I spoke to Liam’s dad a little bit and seems a great guy. Pond site or creek site both I felt safe. Clean surroundings and you feel remotely comfortable. And yes I will recommend this site.

Camp Skipping Rock on Pine Creek

Welcome to our little slice of heaven along Pine Creek at the southern end of the "PA Grand Canyon". It is an outdoor lover's dream. The camp lies inside of Tiadaghton State Forest on the west side of Pine Creek in the Pennsylvania Wilds. The property is 5 acres, embedded deep in public land. On the property there is this one very large campsite (approx 100 square ft) for rent and our small cabin. If we are there at the same time as our guests, we share the outhouse and shower, but our guests have their own private picnic table, fire pit and grill on the far side of the property. The area is beautiful for paddling, floating, fishing, hiking, biking, rock skipping, dipping your toes, swimming hole gems, searching for waterfalls, writing retreats. There are hundreds of miles of hiking, mountain bike and ATV trails, and some of the best fishing and stargazing on the East Coast. There is a 62 mile -rails-to-trails that runs along the other side of Pine Creek from Wellsboro to Jersey Shore, PA. Our camp is located on a secluded hill - a relaxing oasis removed from the rest of the world - read a book in a hammock, build campfires, grill yummy food, let the kids run around like crazy, play a lot of cards. It a 2 minute walk from the property to public access to Pine Creek. It is a 45 minute drive to paddle the Western Branch of the Susquehanna near Lock Haven, PA.

Fairview Farms Airfield

The 66-acre property has been licensed as an airport (PS20) since the 1980s. It is currently an active, private airport. We don't sell fuel or offer services beyond camping so we primarily have only air traffic with few to no landings each year. In other words, it is very quiet here except during the occasional low pass. We are very eager for pilots to fly in and camp out! The beautiful sunsets and stargazing night skies are a real treat for anyone that comes to visit. Lots of deer, birds, and other wildlife can be seen out and about. Bring your telescope and binoculars to view all the property has to offer! Austin Dam Memorial Park

Just outside the quaint town of Austin sits a vivid reminder of one of Pennsylvania's worst disasters – the Austin Flood. In 1909, the dam was constructed on Freeman Run to power the Bayless Papermill downstream. Many wondered if the dam was safe. On September 30, 1911, Austin found out. Poor construction, coupled with torrential rain, resulted in the dam's collapse. Nearly 400 million gallons of water were released, destroying everything for 8 miles. At least 78 people perished in the tragedy. It was the second worst flood disaster in Pennsylvania's history and sixth worst dam failure in U.S. history. The tragedy sparked new legislation to improve dam safety, and the Austin Dam was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987. The ruins of the dam still stand, surrounded by a 76-acre park, as a tribute to the lives lost in the Austin Flood. Don't miss one of Potter County's best kept secrets!

Plenty of room for your dogs to run and I have a 20 x 20 fenced in area with shelter that campers can use. If it fits our schedule, we maybe able to look after your dogs while you explore. Separate outdoor Electric 230v 30 amp service near my home for an RV and 115v available at all 3 camp sites. Wood fire pits at each site, wood available for purchase. There is sold ground for a small size camper or any size tent. Hot Tub and lookout tower are common areas for all to use. I am 25 minutes from Wellsboro PA and the Pa Grand Canyon with a 62 mile rail trail, bike and kayak rentals are 40 minutes away, one hour to Finger lakes, locally there is lots of hiking, fishing and exploring. 4 wheel drive maybe needed in winter for my driveway. If you would like someone to join you on an outdoor adventure when visiting, just ask, if my schedule is open I am always up for a hike, bike ride, kayak trip etc.

We have a variety of birds who love the water feature by the gazebo, and an occasional family of deer that passes through. Easy access to tourist points in Lancaster PA, Amish tours, Outlet shopping experiences, as well as Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square PA, the Kennett Square Mushroom Festival (Sept) and Mushroom Drop (New Years Eve) along with a plethora of fine winery experiences throughout Southern Chester County. Movie theaters are a 30 minute drive. Putt Putt Mini-Golf and Bowling are 14 minutes down the road into Oxford, PA. A full-connection RV site near Lake Wallenpaupack. It is within a campground that was formerly a “Jellystone Park” and is now comprised of privately owned individual lots for camper units. Most lots have seasonally occupied park model homes and large campers. The host’s part-time residence is next door. The site is an open (no trees) level gravel pad with water, sewer and electric connections plus high speed WiFi. There are tall oak trees adjacent to the lot. The site has a fire ring and a picnic table. Big Bear campground is gated for security (you will be assigned a code) and has an outdoor pool (summer only), a playground and picnic pavilion, and walking trails. There is a community dumpster. Shopping, eateries, ice cream, pizza, a brewery-restaurant, groceries and laundry in Hawley are within a 7 minute (3 mile) drive. The Lake dam at sunset is popular. Walt’s Landing marina on Lake Wallenpaupack is within a 4 minute (1.5 mile) drive. The interior campground roads have speed bumps and an owner-enforced posted 5.5 mph speed limit. A leashed pet and a supplemental tent for those in your party are allowed. There are evening quiet hours.
