This campground was exactly as stated and pictured. Tent sites are located on the water which was really cool. The host was super nice and helpful. The portable toilets were the cleanest I’ve seen anywhere which was unexpected but truly appreciated. Thanks for the memories.

Gated community, each site was nice and flat, we needed a winter camping location and it was great that they are open all year round. Nice club house with shower, a few activities for the kids and laundry if needed.

The RV had everything me and my family of 4 needed! Queen bedroom and two bunk beds. Everything was very clean and organized. The host even started us off with some firewood. We ended up having hotdogs and nachos outside and cozied up indoors for game night afterward. It’s also really close to Blue Mountain, we had gone snowtubing that morning. Comfortable night stay. The location of the campground is close to the freeway so it doesn’t have that forest seclusion if you don’t mind. We had access to the clubhouse with public restrooms and showers and a game room with a pool table for $2 per play. it was a great experience!

Weekend Trip to Heart Of Poconos RV Campsite

Christian’s location is perfect as it’s close to everything and is super easy to get to. The site is not hard to get parked in at all, no matter if you back in (as I did) or pull around the loop to park.

2 nights at Heart Of Poconos RV Campsite

This was a very first HipCamp stay and Chris was a very helpful and accomodating host. He helped us remedy a water and electric issue the night we arrived. The site is very nice and within a short distance of many Pocono shops and attractions. We will definitely stay there again!

Weekend Trip to Campground on the River

This was our first real trip in our RV. Despite it being November and chilly, we had a nice time. Kept that fire pit going all day. Appreciated being able to bring our doggies. Nice view right on the riverside. Probably even lovelier in the spring and summer.

The place was great that we added another week on! We hadn’t gotten to all the things we wanted to see/do in the area and the hosts were very accommodating.

5 nights at Northern Pocono Campsite

We had a great time staying at Jim and carol’s site. Having a full hook up for our camper was awesome! We were hiking a lot during the day and it was quiet and peaceful at night. We will definitely be returning in the spring.

BooBoo at Big Bear

A full-connection RV site near Lake Wallenpaupack. It is within a campground that was formerly a “Jellystone Park” and is now comprised of privately owned individual lots for camper units. Most lots have seasonally occupied park model homes and large campers. The host’s part-time residence is next door. The site is an open (no trees) level gravel pad with water, sewer and electric connections plus high speed WiFi. There are tall oak trees adjacent to the lot. The site has a fire ring and a picnic table. Big Bear campground is gated for security (you will be assigned a code) and has an outdoor pool (summer only), a playground and picnic pavilion, and walking trails. There is a community dumpster. Shopping, eateries, ice cream, pizza, a brewery-restaurant, groceries and laundry in Hawley are within a 7 minute (3 mile) drive. The Lake dam at sunset is popular. Walt’s Landing marina on Lake Wallenpaupack is within a 4 minute (1.5 mile) drive. The interior campground roads have speed bumps and an owner-enforced posted 5.5 mph speed limit. Sarah and Stein * Camp Blackbird is a 28 acre property that runs along Beltzville State Park in Carbon County, PA. So besides the camp, there is an additional 3,002-acres of state park to explore. There are a total of 2 sites. The land was vacant for decades and unfortunately used to dump household garbage during that time. We cleaned up the land, built a home and bat habitat. We, Sarah and Stein, always disliked renting a camp site somewhere and then ending up on top of people. So it was our goal to make space on our land for campers like us that want to be surrounded by nature, not other camp sites. A portion of the proceeds from your stay will be donated to bat habitat conservation and bat sanctuaries around the world. We are grateful for the hundreds of campers that have stayed with us. Thank you to all of you that have left a clean site and not made unnecessary noise that would disturb the countless species that share the forest with us. Also, Thank You for patronizing local businesses while you are here. We'll give you a map so you can see where to take a short walk to get to the lake. There are miles of hiking trails a few minutes walk from your campsite. Beltzville Lake is a great place for paddling. The boat launch is just a few minutes drive from Camp. In addition to the beautiful immediate surroundings, we are centrally located near many exciting destinations. Year round activities at Blue Mountain Resort, adventure on The Appalachian Trail, fine dining, biking the rail trail and whitewater rafting in Jim Thorpe, all within a 25 minute drive. The property is not suitable for parties or events. The area is a QUIET ZONE. Ideal for people looking to unplug from it all and become one with nature. It is teaming with wildlife and is ideal for birding. The hosts mission is to disturb wildlife and its habitats as little as possible. VERY IMPORTANT - NO PARTIES or unregistered guests on the property. There are other campgrounds in the area that are great for people who want to party. We welcome pets. Please add your photos! Especially of your dog camping! Check out the 300+ photos past campers have added. So many of them are dogs camping it up. We, the hosts, live on the property about 700 ft from the campsite. We try to have minimal interactions with the guests to ensure privacy and personal space but we're always reachable.
