A group of us wanted to do a camping trip somewhere that had privacy but wasn’t too in the wild. This was the perfect place! Great set up and wood being supplied was HUGE.

Owen was very quick to communicate with any questions that we had and very knowledgeable with alternatives about any services he was unable to provide. He has made a pleasant spot for HipCampers with both water and electric amenities available at an extra charge. Adding these amenities after we arrived was seemless.

4 nights at Hole 15 Camping

We want to share with other Hipcampers about what a great experience we had staying here. We ended up staying through most of the winter. It is a beautiful, safe, peaceful place. Our host Owen was quick to reply and respond quickly if we had a questions or needs but otherwise we felt like we had our own space. Many improvements were made in terms of extras and cosmetic and it was obvious to us that Owen took being a camp host very seriously. It is difficult for RVers in New England during the cold months. We are grateful to have found it and feel lucky for the experience. We highly recommend staying here. Thank you again to Owen for creating such a wonderful spot.

1 night at Blackburn Farm

This is a great private quiet and beautiful location and Chris, our host, was very welcoming and helpful. The site is level and sits on a massive trail network, suitable for hiking, and biking and is close to Mystic/Stonington and the many parks, boat launches, docks, museums and great restaurants in the area. We will definitely be back with kayaks/bikes.

3 nights at Holiday Hill

I don't usually pay as much as I did for a dry site, and before I got there I had some misgivings about the cost, however once I arrived, settled in and got to meet Jesse and some of the staff and learn about the camp and their mission as well as explored the offerings in the area, I had no regrets. Staff was extremely welcoming. The site itself is basic. I have a 14 ft trailer, about 8 ft wide & it fit in well between two trees and required no leveling. A larger rig would fit, however I can't say if it would be level for you and might be a tight fit. The camp road does pass directly in front of the site. The camp was not open, however maintenance staff did begin to arrive & there was traffic during the day. Therefore, depending upon the time you're here, there could be much more activity. However, if you enjoy hiking, biking or paddling, you won't be there much, so it will not matter! You can walk across the street and hike the Natchaug Reservation, where there are miles of beautiful trails! Just a couple of miles down the road there is Mansfield Hollow State Park and dam, which has AMAZING hiking trails, a beautiful 500 acre lake and paved trails to the dam should you prefer that type of stroll. The area is absolutely beautiful! The campsite was extremely quiet at night. You will hear light traffic noise during the day, however at night it disappears. If you are a tent camper, the lean-to site is awesome! It's set up on the hill in the back, private and just a great site.

Weekend Trip to Turtle Path Camping Site

We loved the lean-to site. Lean-tos were clean and dry. The site has 2 picnic tables, a big fire ring, more than enough firewood and even a trash can, which was very convenient. We checked out the grounds and did a nice loop hike at Wolf Rock nearby. Jesse was very responsive, directions were clear and we will defintely come back if we have the chance.

Weekend Trip to Birch And Pine

We had a great stay here. We arrived on the later side, just after dark, but the spot was easy to get into and find thanks to the directions Patricia sent. Best part of all, there was a fire just waiting to be lit in the fireplace! My son and I set up our chairs, grabbed our snacks and cozied up, without having to build a fire in the dark or hunt around for firewood. Night was quiet and peaceful and I totally recommend staying here!

Amazing host, gave us spot 2 which had a little more privacy. Enjoyed a nice fire patty came out and checked if we needed anything and was super incredible. House is separate from area by privacy fence. Highly recommend would stay again

This was my first time using Hipcamp, and it was a great experience. Jesse, our host, was quick to respond and easy to communicate with. The site was exactly as described and shown in the photos. I stayed at the amphitheater location, which worked perfectly for my van camping setup. The surroundings were quiet and peaceful. I’d happily stay here again.

We discovered all the island has to offer and found it irresistible. We were the tourists of yesteryear and what attracted our family back then still exists today: beautiful beaches, fabulous fishing, quaint villages, and amazing sunsets. From the rolling hills of Aquinnah to the dunes of Katama, there is no place on earth like it. Martha’s Vineyard When Chuck found out his job was relocating him to California, he made the bold move to make his family campsite and land available to you. With a lot of hard work and great family pride, the construction of Martha’s Vineyard Family Campground began. During the first few summers of construction, we lived in the converted bus and tents. Slowly the sites and the roads were carved out. Summer vacations meant clearing land and pouring cement. The campground was officially opened in the spring of 1972 and has been a family-run operation ever since. Today the campground is managed by a third generation of The Feeney Family. The property is in a very private and natural setting, yet very close to other amenities, including Foxwoods, Misquamicut Beach, Mystic Seaport, and Downtown Westerly. As a family farm we produce a wide variety of items on our property. Depending on the season, these items may include lamb, pork, produce, eggs, syrup, honey, etc… They can be purchased in advance or when onsite (subject to availability), we always recommend letting us know in advance if you are interested in something in particular so we can do our best to accommodate as we do sell out of items from time to time. The property features numerous hiking trails though fields and woods, a pond for swimming, boating, and excellent private fishing areas in the pond and brook; Fishing is catch and release only on the farm property. Barbless hooks are required (you can file them off, let us know we can help). Adults are fly rod only, Kids are fly or spinning rod. No is license required for the pond. Turtle Path Camping Site

Our driveway is located about 3 miles from the start of the Boston Marathon, 8 minutes from 495, but, down a country road. We find our property to be quite peaceful. We do have crickets to lull you to sleep and early birds (and sometimes a neighborhood rooster) to greet you in the morning. Keep an eye out for turtles! We are a few hundred yards from either Upton State Forest or Lake Whitehall. Lake Whitehall is popular with boaters (speed limit enforced) and is stocked with fish. No swimming. There is a public boat ramp on the other side of the lake. We often put in our kayaks at the entrance close to our house. We hike, mountain bike and picnic in these parks. It's really beautiful. There is a 24-hour grocery store 2 miles down the road. The gravel campsite is located at the barn end of our driveway in front of the red barn. There is a little privacy from the house, but, we may need to get into the barn from time to time. We have a 30amp and water hookup at the barn. If planning on using electric please add one "electric hookup" extra to each night of your stay BEFORE finishing the request to book, it's really difficult to add it after. Please plan to bring 50' of hose and/or 25ft of electrical cord if using hookups. There is wifi, BUT, it's pretty weak at the barn. Definitely not strong enough for streaming! Our Ibex camper may or may not be parked next to the barn depending on if we are out camping! We do not accept car campers. Turtle Path also has a Guest Suite. Find us on that other website! Shortly after we moved in we discovered a large snapping turtle on his way from Lake Whitehall to the creek at the back of our property. Our neighbor told us that's the turtle's usual route. Turtle won our hearts that day.
