This nice spot was convenient to I 40 and on my route. Peaceful and safe, with views to the woods. The host was friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed my three night, full hook up stay.

Weekend Trip to ChrisLeigh

Quiet, beautiful, grassy spot accessible by covered bridge, and nestled in the trees overlooking a charming pond, with a fire ring and plenty of fire wood- perfect for a relaxing break or to split up a long drive. The barn has a bathroom and shower. Debbie is charming (we only spoke to her over the phone b/c we arrived late and she had dinner plans), and her location is perfect. The location is remote (though you can hear the highway on a quiet night)- you are secluded and feel far away from the world, yet Memphis is a short drive and creature comforts are even closer. My husband and children were very happy with our perfect camp spot. We enjoyed the rolling hillside, the swings, the friendly donkeys, the talkative geese and the beautiful night sky (we were lucky enough to see a pink full moon rise).

The heavy rains made camping on the lawn less than ideal. Fortunately, Bob had a great Plan B and offered me a spot on an adjoining driveway, which I greatly appreciated. I also had the chance to walk through Pecan Grove, and it was a peaceful and beautiful experience. The location is quite convenient too. Once I had my rig settled, Bob and his wife brought me freshly baked cookies, which were a wonderful treat after driving through a downpour all day. They are really nice people, and I enjoyed meeting them.

What a great little oasis between the madness (in a good way!) of Nashville and Memphis! Bob and Carla were both lovely and very welcoming. Also very helpful with information about the area. Carla’s homemade cookies on arrival were delicious 😋. Would definitely recommend

Weekend Trip to ChrisLeigh

We loved camping at ChrisLeigh Farm! Set up was perfect with picnic tables, fireplace, and string lights - plus an available bathroom and shower. The property is beautiful! We enjoyed the pond with geese and baby ducks and the lovely covered bridge. Debbie is a kind and generous host. We came to paddle the Wolf River. It was a rainy weekend so we came back wet on Sat. I asked if we could hang up some stuff in the barn to dry. But instead Debbie offered to throw our clothes in the dryer. Talk about going the extra mile! 10 out of 10 stay.

Easy to find and easy to stay. Pleasant little spot right in the heart of Memphis. Sara answered all the questions we had and it was quiet and smooth.

We enjoyed our first stay so much we came back five days later! The spot was just as described and reviewed, which was what we needed. And the pups and cookies were wonderful bonuses. Please see previous review for more context. We would stay again! The second time, we got to meet Bob’s wife and thank her directly for the yummy cookies!

3 nights at Pleasant View

This Hipcamp site is the perfect spot if you are planning a trip to Memphis. Our host Sarah was easy to communicate with and answered any question we had. It has easy access to and from the highway yet you are tucked away by a woods with very little traffic noise. Padlocked gate for security, water, fire pit, picnic table, power and lights. A definite return if we are back in the Memphis area.

Weekend Trip to Pecan Grove Parking

This was our first car-camping (sleeping IN our car vs. driving up to site and pitching a tent, which we’ve done many times) AND Hipcamp experience. Pecan Grove and Bob made it such a great experience. He was communicative and flexible…we arrived an hour later than anticipated from Chicago. The site was wonderful with yummy artesian water. Freyda (sp.?) & Winnie (sp.?) were sweet doggos who gave us their seal of approval (I think?). And Bob’s WIFE’S COOKIES! YUM! We would camp there again…in fact, hopefully on the return trip, as we were going to visit friends in NOLA. This was the perfect place to rest for the night in a lovely wooded spot in a sweet town.

This place was awesome! The farm was nice and quiet even with all the farm critters. I had such a great night sleep even as a tent camper. The firewood was in the fireplace and ready to go for a great night! Miles was a great host. He showed me right where to go and left me alone for a great night!! If you get a chance to stay here take it!!

We would recommend this place to anyone. It was a quiet and comfortable place to stay. There were good directions that were sent with the confirmation. Bob was very quick to communicate when needed. The host was very personable and the world's famous cookies were amazing. There was a short little Trail nearby which my husband and I were able to take advantage of.

Enjoyed a quiet dark peaceful night. Good location for our road trip stop. Heard a couple of early morning trains.. would stop there again. Great 5G cell signal with a location in town, got some work done.

The space was clean and efficient. We stayed on a weekend so there was no landscaping noise. There also wasn’t much road noise either so we slept well. Great yard for doggos. Definitely recommend

I used the siteI for van camping. The friendly host greeted me on arrival. The site was next to the field with the alpacas and were fun to watch.

Learn more about this land: There are a lot of soft people in the world today, if you're one of those people this isn't the place for you. In the spring and summer the property can become quite overgrown. Some people have had difficulty accessing the inner part of the property that is pretty well cleared and secluded. I happen to like it that way. A quarter acre, just a stone's throw from Graceland. The property itself doesn't provide much more than a place to park, but you can literally walk to Graceland and Beale Street is only about a 15 minute drive or Uber ride. My friend has parked his 5 window skoolie with a 15 foot utility trailer without any issues. There's no access to the shipping container on the property, but you're welcome to set out a few chairs and bbq on the back side of the property as long as you're careful about fires. There are no fire rings, toilets, or running water; and certainly no power. You're welcome to park or tent camp but understand that this property is very primitive.
