Weekend Trip to Indian Canyon Ranch

Staying at Joe's ranch was delightful. Everything is well thought out and organized, especially the central group area with facilities for cooking, cleaning up, and having a fire. We had our pickup topper so did not stay in one of the on-site trailers (or buses). Given the general level of attention to detail, I would expect them to be comfortable and well maintained. If our dogs were writing this review, they would say that they never wanted to leave. Playing with the resident dogs and running around off-leash was a highlight of the trip for them.

Overall, we had a fantastic experience. The tent cabin was nice and clean (and cooled down). The fire pits and the social area were really enjoyable. I loved the fact that they had BBQs and fire pits at each location with a very reasonably priced supply of fire wood and ice. The people we interacted with who worked in there were also polite, super helpful and friendly. Definitely a thumbs up from me and my wife…our dog enjoyed it too!

This campsite is a gem 💎 The view was amazing, especially at night. The host was very nice and always checking out on us if we need anything. Restrooms and showers are well maintained. The tent zipper was broken we did mentioned it to the host, but we just dealt with it. Spiders happen to get inside out tent but overall. I would definitely recommend it! 💯

What can I say? What a great place and worth the $$$. I was fun getting to actually forde a creek to get to place. Great conversations with Grant. Nice dog and kitty cat and horses. Lovely stay.

Beautiful setting with a variety of campsites. It was handy having the store upon checkin. The bath house was much appreciated too. One of our favorite camps on our roadtrip! You have to checkin by 5pm but it's for the best so you have time to settle in and enjoy even if just staying one night.

Erik and Keshia have created a wonderfully personalized and comfortable experience. The yurt was perfectly appointed, as well as the fully stocked kitchen and bathrooms. The wood sauna and fresh chicken eggs (as well as entertaining chickens) made an already perfect experience even better. Incredible night and day skies/vistas, proximity to Canyonlands NP, and a perfect yurt camping experience already have me wanting to return.

This place was seriously undersold in the photos and description! The area was gorgeous, the facilities were much more comfortable and luxurious than I supposed, and we stayed warm in the canvas tent even when the temperature dropped to 11 degrees Fahrenheit. Highly recommended.

2 nights at Teardrop Arch B&B

The cabin was clean and cozy, with a space heater that kept us comfortably warm. It's in a quiet, scenic location with a beautiful sunrise. The bed was very comfortable and we slept great. Check-in was smooth with clear instructions, and the host was friendly and responsive via text. Breakfast was simple, with bread and cereal provided. We didn’t cook, but guests are allowed to use the kitchen. The guest bathroom was clean, well-stocked with towels, and we never had to wait to use it—only one other guest was staying there during our visit. The Wi-Fi worked well, and the property felt safe. There were a few friendly outdoor dogs and a cat around. One standout detail: the main house is heated with a wood or charcoal stove, which made it feel extra warm and gave the space a cozy, inviting scent.

We loved returning to Needles Outpost again and enjoyed seeing the hosts again. The location is amazing with plenty of rock climbing and exploration available on site. We cannot wait to return again.

Location, location, location! Stunning view with incredible sunset. Tear drop arch is on their property, meaning you can hike it from the backyard. There are multiple dogs around, which can be a challenge if you bring one yourself. Place is exactly as described, a little more spacious than anticipated and with hot coffee in the morning. You will have access to the bathroom in their house and there is also an outhouse close to the cabin.

7 nights at The Needles Outpost Campground

My family loved camping at Needles Outpost. We stayed here for nearly a week. This is a very special place nestled next to red rocks with a view of Canyonlands NP - Needles District. The campground is generally very quiet and seems to attract considerate campers looking for a peaceful retreat. Best of all, the Needles Outpost has flush toilets, and showers! A real treat to be able to rinse off after a day of hiking. They also have a cute little store with basic supplies, ice, drinks, ice cream, fuel, gifts, etc. This place creates a nice feeling of a dispersed campsite but with several added benefits. We will be coming back! Thank you Amber and Caleb for your warm hospitality!

This Outpost and campground is located on 300 acres of private property surrounded by park and public land. It has been here for over 30 years in some form or another. We are Caleb & Amber who enjoyed managing this little oasis in the middle of the desert from March to June of 2017 when we decided to purchase the business & make it our own. This is a dry, rugged campground with a bathhouse that provides coin operated showers and flush toilets. In addition there is little old rustic camp store placed in the middle of nowhere where we provide fuel, snacks, firewood, ice, showers, cold drinks & more. If you are looking for a more private site with lots of space and shade, book our Small Group at the Rocks. For a warmer stay during the cooler months book one of our Glamping Tents listed. We have the larger, and spacious tent in the grove of the Juniper Trees (which is also amazing in the warmer season) and rent a heater from us inside the general/camp store. This home is our largest at 570 square feet with 400 square feet on the main level, a 12 foot ceiling to an open loft adding an additional 170 square feet, and a feeling of openness. The master bedroom features a queen sized bed, a flat screen smart TV, a small desktop work space that is convenient for working on a laptop or getting ready for the day, clothes hanging, additional storage space under the bed for luggage, and a thermostat for individual climate control. The loft area is open to the kitchen and living room and has two XL (Extra Long) twin beds. This is a great space to play games, store extra gear, or just stretch out and relax. The ceiling height is just under 5 feet so you big kids don't plan on running around up there. The kitchen and living room is an open floor plan with a large sliding door that opens to the deck and beautiful views.
