We had such a nice time at this cabin. It was cozy and warm with the wood stove despite the chilly weather outside. Susanna was a great host and clearly communicated all the essentials needed to enjoy our stay. Would love to come back.

Weekend Trip to Art and Health Chill Camping

Sandy's farm was such an absolute gift. She was a wonderful host. Despite the bad weather she made accommodations to make our experience unforgettable. The wood fired sauna was an absolute highlite of our trip and she had it ready for us when we arrived. She also provided a few options for things to do in the town which enhanced our experience. I will definitely be coming back to Sandy's in the future, and would highly recommend to anyone wanting a weekend get away.

Weekend Trip to Pine Cone Cabin

We had a great night away at the pine cone cabin! We arrived during a picturesque snow storm that was perfect for snowman building. The cabin took a little while to warm up, but once the wood stove got roaring we were sweating and stayed toasty all night. Wood for the stove was available for purchase on site ($6 a bundle) and we only needed one for the night and morning. The lights and hot plate were great accommodations and made cooking yummy camping meals a breeze. The loft was great. It easily fit our queen sized air mattress with my son’s camping pad on one side, our baby’s travel bassinet on the other and still had lots of room for our bags. Bonus that it is carpeted! We hope to come back again soon!

Such a special place to stay. We loved the simplicity of the cabin. It was exactly what we needed for a wellness reset! So cozy with the wood burning stove, and the bunk mattresses were surprisingly comfortable. So clean and inviting. Ranger Eric was very communicative and helpful. Would absolutely stay here again.

Super cute rustic cabin! We loved the little loft and it snowed overnight so we woke up to a winter wonderland. The kitchen had everything we needed for simple glamping meals. Would be a perfect stopover for a bike camping trip in the future.

AMAZING views!!! The cabin was beautifully rustic! We typically bring all of our own gear. However, Kathleen and John had everything you could need! Their dead end road leads to beautiful trails through the tapped maple trees into a large field. Our dogs ran like crazy!! Kathleen and John were gracious enough to let us borrow their snow shoes! Very nice people and private cabin! We also checked out Hill Farmstead Brewery a short drive away, which is ranked on many levels for many beers. Thanks for the stay!

Weekend Trip to Vermont Rustic Retreat

We had a wonderful weekend getaway here! Such a cozy cabin with expansive views of Stowe and Mansfield, and well connected to outdoor recreation areas. The cabin itself was very comfortable with its wood burning stove and sleeper futon and was well furnished with cooking supplies and silverware. The host Kathleen was really helpful and had great recommendations for activities in the area. Highly recommend!

A friend and I took our newly 18 year old daughters to Jerry's land over the weekend it was just what we all needed the hot tub was amazing we played lots of fun games and ate delicious food. With both our girls graduating high school this year it was nice to have a trip that we will have great memories of when we send them off at the end of the year. Highly recommend.

I stayed in the Mount Mansfield cabin and it was fantastic! I stayed during the Winter, the wood stove was a huge help. The host was very welcoming and hospitable. Navigating to the site was not difficult.

We had a wonderful time staying in this adorable little cabin. The wood stove really keeps it toasty inside even with a thick blanket of snow outside, making it super cozy and comfortable. Weekend Trip to Pine Cone Cabin

February 28-March 2, 2025. This was our home away from home. The cabin is adorable! The kitchen is equipped with the basics - my only complaint was we’d planned meals based on using the toaster oven, which is no longer there! There is a hot pot. The loft is cozy, with plenty of space to put air mattresses and/or other bedding. It’s carpeted, has electrical outlets and a small window for ventilation. The living area includes a cot/couch, a space heater and a very efficient wood stove. We learned the first night that after warming up the cabin only one log is needed to keep the cabin at a perfect temperature. There are shelves with games, batteries, bandaids and lanterns. Another closet contains cleaning supplies. For warmer weather, there is running water, including a shower. The privy was clean and tidy and set just far enough away. Although off a main road, we felt as though we were in a very secluded and private spot. The falling snow Friday and Saturday nights just added to the magical charm of our stay. We had a great weekend at the cabin! It was very clean when we got there, and the kitchen had everything needed to cook some simple meals. With the wood stove going it’s incredibly warm, even in the middle of the night in February. We’re already looking forward to coming back sometime later this year!

My wife and I had another wonderful stay at Jerry's cabin. We first stayed there December of 2022 and it was good to see and enjoy the subtle improvements over that time, demonstrating the host's thoughtfulness towards his guests. We stayed mid February with 30"+ of snow and cold nights dipping to around 0 f with a stiff windchill. The new propane heater kept the nip out of the air and the indoor cooking setup was well stocked with a counter top burner. Dimmable LED city lights and battery powered refrigerator were both nice touches. The improved wood-fired hot tub was a perfect way to relax after days of Nordic skiing at Craftsbury.

MAPLE SYRUP/SUGARBUSH Want to learn about the maple sugaring process? We are always happy to give you a tour of our sugarhouse and the woods, and explain how we turn the tree sap into yummy Maple Syrup. (We only boil January-early April.) We do have this year's crop bottled and available for sale! Buy one for morning pancakes, to add to your morning coffee, or to take home! WILDLIFE/BERRIES/MUSHROOMS/FIDDLEHEADS Depending on the time of the year, you can find wild raspberries, blackberries, mushrooms, and fiddleheads. (Please do not pick or eat something if you don't know if it is poisonous!) And, wildlife are around. Look for tracks in the soil, signs they have been there, or if you are really quiet (usually in the early morning or at dusk) you might see deer, geese, or wild turkeys! This property overlooking the beautiful Connecticut river has two cabins to choose from, one sleeps two people and the other can accommodate three. The property is such a peaceful spot! We have a rustic outhouse and showers can be taken in the main farmhouse on the property if you would like, available Monday thru Saturday from 8am to 9am. The cabin is outfitted with a comfy bed, fridge, and microwave. We sell firewood to sit around a cozy campfire at night and stargaze! You can even purchase a S'mores package as well! Enjoy a cup of coffee from the Keurig machine in the mornings. Bottled water is included as well. We will do our best to make you feel at home away from home. In a way that is never intrusive, we respect your privacy. Come and unwind with nature all around you. We are very pet friendly! And ask that all dogs are on a leash while outside. Also pets are not to be left in the cabins unattended at any time. So with all that said get yourself and your pets here and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning on your deck looking out to the river. Don't set an alarm, the loons or geese may wake you first! Propane heater(Mr Heater 18,000btu) to stay warm on chilly winter days/nights. Linens are provided. Solar generator provided. Compost toilet(bucket/sawdust) in cabin. Fire pit, wood fired hot tub(open year round), outdoor shower(spring-fall). Outdoor kitchen setup with sink, charcoal grill and Coleman 2 burner propane stove. 3 gallons potable water available, 5 gallons water available for kitchen, 2 gallons available in bathroom. We also utilize all of our property for gardening, logging, tapping trees, bee keeping, milling, stacking and moving wood, etc., so you will probably see us during your stay. But no worries the cabin is comfortably private. There is no electricity at cabin. You should have phone reception but no wifi available. This area of Vermont has snow all winter, and mud in the spring. I do my best to keep the driveway clean and most of the time there are no issues but ideally you would want 4WD and snow tires. Texas Hill Brook camp site The Texas Hill Brook site is a flat, wooded campsite on Texas Hill Brook in Huntington. The campsite is roughly 10m x 30m (30' x 100'), large enough for several tents or a small camper/RV. It is accessed by a sloped 50m (about 150') gravel driveway. The narrowest part of the driveway is 2.6m (about 8.5 feet). There is a 3m x 3m (10' x 10') tent platform and a large picnic table. Firewood is provided. Near our home about 120m/400 feet away through the trees but relatively private. Within a short pedal or drive to some of the best mountain biking and hiking Vermont has to offer, 15 minutes to Richmond and Hinesburg, and just a half hour to Burlington. Electricity on site, primitive fire pit, but no other facilities, so ALL waste must be packed out. We have a bucket commode to loan if you don’t have your own. Dark Star Cabin Dark Star is the perfect base camp for your northern Vermont hiking and biking adventures! Comfortable accommodations for 6 in a solar powered cabin. Located in Huntington close to some of Vermont’s best trails, Dark Star is a short hike (less than a mile) from a private, secure parking area. The hike is not difficult, but ground is uneven, some of it is uphill, and it may be wet. Note that this property is HIKE-IN ONLY and pack in/pack out (i.e. you will need to pack out all trash, etc.). Unwind in the wood-fired sauna, lounge on the deck under the stars, sharing stories of your escapades and planning the next day’s adventures. Pull-out queen sofa bed on the main floor plus 2 full size beds in the loft. Pillows are provided but bring your own linens. Outdoor shower, WiFi, water filtration system, grill, small refrigerator/freezer, composting toilet, and many other amenities for a comfortable stay.
