1 night at Big Dipper Ranch camping - glamping

What a heavenly glampsite! Joined by our good friend and her daughter, we had two 3-year-olds in tow and our trusty dog. Everyone had a blast! Jud is an exceptional host- greeted us upon arrival, gave us the tour, and was super communicative, personable, and accommodating. The property is stunning, especially at this time of year with all the dogwoods and red buds in bloom. We had a sunny, hot day, so the pond was the highlight! We used the kayaks, my husband fished and caught several bass, my little one bravely jumped in the water, and our dog was in heaven swimming for hours! The water was icy cold, but that didn’t stop our water babies. The tents are so comfortable and the charcoal grill and solo stoves at each site make campsite cooking a breeze. The compostable toilets per site offer convenience, comfort, and privacy. We will definitely return! We got rained out for s’mores making, so we need to come back on a dry night to check all our camping must-dos off our list. Thanks Jud, we had such a special visit!

Weekend Trip to WonderWoods at Rocky Gap

The Acorn Palace is a perfect respite from busy life. There is peace, quiet, and beauty in abundance. The treehouse is as cute as can be, with every possible amenity carefully considered. Kristen was a wonderful host, friendly, knowledgeable, and truly has thought of everything. We hope to return sooner than later!

Weekend Trip to Camping on the Hazel River

What a great campsite! My boyfriend and I spent a day + night here and had such a lovely time. Our hosts were very friendly and easy to communicate with before, during and after the stay. Scot greeted us right away, showed us around, answered all of our questions and then left us in privacy. The land was so lush and serene with tons of wildflowers, trees and plant life. We enjoyed taking nature walks, setting up our hammock and making a bonfire with the plentiful amount of wood our host set up at our site (upon request). The river sounds added such a peaceful ambiance too. We even spotted a bald eagle! This site had everything we could've needed for a successful night of camping (even a flushing toilet and sink in a small outhouse). We felt very safe and relaxed in this green paradise. Overall, such a great spot! We plan on coming back and recommending it to friends!

What a fantastic get away. I highly recommend visiting. It’s extremely peaceful. The set up of both the small cabin and camping area is great. We were able to completely relax and enjoy the weekend!

The “primitive “ tent sites are perfect for my Westfalia VW. Didn’t need it, but there’s electricity and water at the site and easy access to the washroom / shower / scrub sink. Nice folks at the office. The neighbor’s sheep and llama add to the great experience. The newborn lambs kept me entertained for the evening. This was my second stay and it won’t be my last.

2 nights at Endless Caverns RV Resort

Endless Caverns was an amazing experience! We chose to bring our grandchildren for a short camping trip for their first experience and it didn’t disappoint. There was so much for them to do! They loved the playground with the bounce pad. It was amazingly clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. We are definitely coming back so we can explore the other options offered. The only issue we have is that going there for their first experience set the bar really high for all the other campsites out there!

3 nights at Tiny Hidden Ridge

We loved the tiny house on Tara's farm. Tara was incredibly helpful with any request and for helping us pick the best sights to visit during our stay. The house and farm are inviting, clean and friendly! This includes the three goats who absolutely loved having visitors around! Highly recommend this as a nice place to camp/stay when visiting in and around Harpers Ferry!

My group and I came to camp for our friends birthday weekend. We LOVED campsite number two! It’s not the most private, (people who are standing up on the field above might be able to see) but it was so convenient and such a short walk to the bathhouse/fields/volleyball net. There is a place to fill up your water bottle on the side of the bathhouse, but be prepared for a more mineral-ly taste. We found two separate bathroom spaces (one had stalls for changing and a shower). Both were very clean! Our host was so accommodating and was very responsive when we texted him questions before our trip. He even told us that we could switch the site we were on when we got there if we wanted more space for our dog to run around off leash. Super kind! We had such a blast! We would definitely come back again, and we would recommend it to our friends.

3 nights at Camp Shenandoah Meadows

Stay to the right side of the road when you turn on the road, very easy to go up the neighbors driveway. The cabin was comfortable, enough room for two adults and two dogs. The area is very peaceful and beautiful. The screened porch was a nice place to sit and enjoy the evenings; there was a fire ban in effect our first night and we were too tired from exploring the area the second night to have a campfire, but the firewood was plentiful. The communal bathhouse was clean with one a private bathroom that was spacious and also very clean The host was quick to answer any questions that we had. Definitely a place we would love to visit again!

We found this site by chance as a stop from Georgia to Maryland. It is so nice. The sites are clean and pretty good size and fairly level. It backs up to a cattle farm and is very peaceful. The bathrooms are very clean and pretty. Very pleased with our site.

Mike is a great and accommodating host, he provided us with firewood. Nice flat campground with a beautiful view of the sunset and some friendly cats!

We decided to go up to the mountains on a whim and glamping at Shenandoah Meadows made it more than worth while. Nothing like a hot shower on a mountain and coffee by the fire . Even our pup had a blast. We had more than enough room in the bunk house. Customer service was top tier! Can’t wait to come back again .

Weekend Trip to Tiny Hidden Ridge

What a nice place to stay! I only stayed one night, but the cottage had everything I could need, and the farm was a nice quiet escape from routine. The instruction inside the cottage were a big help for dishes/toilet since there isn't running water, but the bottles of drinking water were great. I loved seeing the goats and the view of the sunset and the stars. Great stay!

Please note- I only book one group at a time. You'll have plenty of privacy! Spend your day bird watching on the river deck, put up your hammock and chill, go hiking or mountain biking at Cacapon State Park, take the kayaks out and paddle around, go fishing, or take a float trip. I can provide info on put in/take out spots depending on how long you'd like to float. I have 3 kayaks available for your use, or BYO if you'd like to venture further outside of the property lines. There is one big fire ring for cooking and/or bonfires, along with a large stationary stand up charcoal camp grill. There is also a small communal shed down at camp that contains extra camping supplies, etc.. feel free to use use and put back and or/ contribute to it! :) This spot is close by to Berkeley Springs, Paw Paw Tunnel, Cacapon State Park, and other nature preserves. More hiking, biking, restaurants, spas, antiquing- all within a beautiful 20 minute drive if you wish to venture out. There is a cabin on the property. I will more often be home than not, I will communicate with you about that around your stay. Sometimes I"ll come down to the river frontage if I drop in for a float .Also, we all get around on four wheelers and UTV's. So you will hear them from time to time. If I am home, please feel free to come up if you have any concerns/questions or to say hi! :) *Please note, you can normally get to this site without a 4 wheel drive vehicle. However, when the river is high it will sometimes flood the low water bridge where it crosses the Cacapon. Camps at Evensong Farm

Evensong Farm is a preserved historic farm adjacent to the Antietam National Battlefield. We have set up two, almost identical, sites on a 60 acre parcel of our farm which is very private for our campers, but allows access to the lovely Antietam Creek. The sites themselves are about 500 feet apart so, while they maintain privacy when booked by different parties, can also be booked together for group stays. We have been hosting campers at our "glampsites" since 2021. Each off-grid site has a 12x16 platform with a 10x12 canvas side wall tent, a firepit and chairs, a cooking area with a grill and sink for washing up, a picnic table and benches, and a private bathroom with a composting toilet and solar shower bag. The main tent is set up for 2 people, although 4 is possible. The sites can handle a max of 12 people, with the use of additional tents (BYO or you can set up some of ours). We provide an electronic camp guide to all of our campers that include our recommendations for things to do in the area, as well as camping tips and other handy info. Inside the tent you will find a queen size bed, side tables, and a cafe table and chair set. We have put down foam flooring and a carpet for your comfort and provide numerous battery powered lights, lanterns and fans. In cold months we can add a propane heater to keep the chill away. We also have some games, maps of the area, decks of cards, and a fire extinguisher. Stepping outside the tent you'll find our long rainfly creates a covered porch where you can relax on our provided chairs. There are additional chairs around the firepit and each firepit has a cooking grate so you can cook over your campfire. We provide one bundle of firewood (including kindling) per night with your reservation. We do sell additional firewood, if needed. In our kitchen area you will find a picnic table and chairs, 5 gallons of drinking water, a clean up table that includes a foot operated pump sink with an additional 5 gallons of washing water, a grill (one site has propane and the other has charcoal), trash and recycling bins, grill tools, lighters, plus dish and hand soaps. Our farm is a mile and a half from the town of Sharpsburg, MD, home of the Antietam National Battlefield (and Nutter's Ice Cream Shop). You will find the Appalachian Trail to our east and the C&O Canal to our west (10 minute drive to either).
