Weekend Trip to Watercress Inn at Landon Farm

We had a wonderful time at the farm and loved Gypsy Camp. Farmer Jen was a wonderful host and introduced my 3 year old to all the animals opened up the very well stocked farm store for us. She gave us some maps of the farm and the area, which was particularly helpful as we didn't have much cell service (a delightful reprieve from notifications). I would highly recommend and plan to return.

This was a perfect location. The facilities were in excellent condition. It is conveniently located to hiking and the NP. My kids loved visiting the farm and seeing the animals. We look forward to returning!

2 nights at Watercress Inn at Landon Farm

The Birdsong camp site was clean and well kept. The fire ring is nice, there is a flat picnic table area, a pad for a tent and a bathhouse/kitchen combo area. It’s clear to see that some thought and money were put into this site. Communication with the host was always clear and responsive. Overall we had a great time there. The only issue we had was a dog that seemed to start barking every night around 10 pm. It even ended up in our camp barking at us the first night. I understand that this is a working farm, so noises from goats, chickens etc were expected in the morning and throughout the day, but no one anticipated the nights to be disruptive.

Jenn and John were incredibly friendly and generous hosts for our 3 night stay. They helped us a lot with finding hikes and places to explore in the area. Our campsite was well maintained, private, and in a beautiful location. We loved getting to come back to all our new animal friends greeting us at the farm store. Bottle feeding the young lambs was a huge highlight! It's clear that the hosts care deeply about their land and all the residents. We'd definitely come stay again!

We had a wonderful time camping! The stars at night were unbelievable and the location was perfect for a remote, private and romantic getaway! And the farm animals added such an adorable touch! Thank you so much for having us Jennifer!

We had an amazing time! The land was beautiful and clean. The hosts were great and friendly. The farm was beautiful as well. Their dog Maverick was so sweet! Will absolutely be camping there again! Thanks for a great time!

What an amazing spot! So close to Old Rag and wineries. The farm was private with walking trails. The cabin was nice to sleep in at night. It had everything we needed to cook. Hope to come back!

We had an excellent time visiting butterfly farm. This is truly a unique place to camp. We took our little one with us who is still getting used to camping and the environment was so interesting with plenty of hiking trails that were just challenging enough. We loved visiting all the animals. You can tell Jennifer is passionate about her farm and the creatures who inhabit. We will definitely visit again!

Weekend Trip to Watercress Inn at Landon Farm

We loved the Moonshine Cabin. The bed was firm and comfortable and the down comforter and layers of blankets kept us warm through nights in the 40s. One corner of the cabin is well-stocked with kitchen supplies. Between that, the outdoor prep table, the grate for the fire, and the hefty outdoor cooler, we were easily able to store, cook, and enjoy the sausage from our breakfast basket add on. The site is private. You will hear the geese throughout the day — they are expert honkers! The hiking trails and paths to the sites were all clearly marked and we appreciated the solar lights on the path to the outhouse. Note that it uses a bio bag that you will pack out with you. We loved meeting the free roaming goats, bottle baby sheep, and Sunblock the cat. Jennifer was communicative and helpful, especially when we had to reschedule due to snow and ice. Thank you, Jennifer, for making us feel so welcome!

Camped at Wisteria, which was lovely and secluded. If I had a chance again, I would’ve booked the other two sites closer to the farm. I brought my four-year-old daughter and she loved the chance to feed the animals in the morning, she can’t stop talking about it. Owner was exceptionally nice and responsive. It’s also walking distance from top-notch wineries. We will be going back for sure.

The Birdsong campsite and overall property is one of the nicest we’ve ever been to! Directions were clear and campsite was easy to get to with our SUV. We were lacking in proper camping equipment, so the option to have a tent set up with an air mattress and incredibly cosy bed spread as incredible. The kitchen was decked out with everything we needed. The space is clean and pretty private (we went in winter so the trees were bare and we still couldn’t see any other campsite). Communicating with Jennifer was super easy and quick!

It was an amazing experience! Jennifer was very helpful since before our arrival keeping us updated on the weather. The view from Butterfly campsite is beautiful, the overall feel of the farm is wonderful and what makes it even more special is getting a farm tour from Jennifer and getting to meet all the animals. Our kids got to feed two baby lambs!

This campsite is great for so many reasons. First, the host is awesome. They took the time to walk my daughter around introducing her to the farm animals, and play 20 questions about every animals name. (my daughter is very inquisitive when it comes to animals). Second, the location cannot be beat. It is an easy drive, the campsite is easily accessible, and it is close to great attractions. Lastly, the campsites themselves were well maintained. Also, the property has several options for campsites, but they are so dispersed, it feels like you have the whole place to yourself. We are already planning our return trip. When we got there my daughter told Jennifer this was her 2nd favorite campsite...by the time we left, she was convinced it was now her number one favorite campsite.

3 nights at Watercress Inn at Landon Farm

I received great detailed instructions in advance, and everything was all set up when we arrived. The tent space was flat gravel, there was plenty of room to park, and everything was stocked (wood for fire, soap/sponge/towel for washing dishes, and plenty of jugs of non potable water). The campsite had a great view of the sunset, we enjoyed walking the small network of trails on the property and meeting some of the animals (including an adorably pregnant goat), and we loved the proximity to hikes nearby - especially our favorite (Old Rag). Jennifer was lovely and very responsive, even providing us a canister to boil water one of the mornings we had an early chilly hike planned.

We loved staying at Birdsong camp! Last time we stayed at Gypsy and both camps are gorgeous. We loved the layout. You can tell the owners took great care with every detail. The mountains are beautiful and White Oak Canyon Falls was just a short drive away. We highly recommend and look forward to staying here again!

We had a lovely stay at the moonshine site in mid November. Nighttime lows were in the 40s. The cabin was a little chilly but there were plenty of blankets on the bed and we found it very easy to get to sleep and very cozy. Bonus, we met a very friendly big dog to announce our arrival. He also showed us to our camp. 😂
