What a perfect little hideaway! Camas has the trailer all fixed up, warm, welcoming and homey. She went above and beyond: fresh flowers, all the supplies of a hotel room, even coffee, creamers, and more. Plus the salt water and mountains! Seals, eagles, herons and more. The road is close by, but still very quiet at night. I can't wait to go back.

3 nights at Forest Glen Cabin

I stayed five days! Luckily I was able to extend. What a wonderful experience with so many fun amenities. Bed was very comfortable, lots of cooking utensils, full stove and microwave. Lots of games and a great place to throw an axe or do a cold plunge. So many great trails and parks nearby …. access to a private boat launch at Olympic tracts. The communication was above and beyond, thank you so much Michael ! I will most definitely be coming back. *Oh the rain on the roof every night was perfect, not loud, it was so soothing/ calming!

From the moment I arrived, the staff was super friendly and accommodating. My campsite was perfectly located across from the beach. Falling asleep to the sound of the water was exactly what I wanted. The grounds are very well maintained including the bathrooms. Bring your own towel and soap as a backup when going to the bathrooms. I will definitely return during off-season. I can imagine it being packed during peak time.

Had a quiet, private stay and enjoyed beautiful weather. Firewood had been left at the site, and soap by the sink was a nice touch! Be prepared for a steep but gorgeous walk down to the Sacred Lowlands and beach.

Super cute peaceful safe and right down the road from a marina seafood restaurant, cafe and shops. Up the road the main river. Beautiful views of the sound and the mountains. Host is amazingly accommodating. Went out of their way to find us boots to go explore in. Don't need to bring anything!!! Best part! Everything you need is provided and talk about the small touches. Fresh flowers a welcome package and personalized welcome letter with instructions and guidance to all you need on premises and amenities nearby. Would definitely do again. Just wonderful and the price you just can not beat!!!!!

2 nights at Forest Glen Cabin

Amazing location and features for the price! Cabin is a cute cozy lil lofted cabin with all the necessities for cooking, sleeping and exploring. There is not a place to shower but there is a cowboy tub which gets warm, that you can heat yourself. It is on a shared lot with some neighbors who were not present most of my visit, but other than that it pretty secluded and v close to the river. Host was also very kind and responsive! I don't know that dogs will be able to get up into the loft to sleep up there as the ladder is quite steep. Definitely definitely definitely worth the money.

We were very excited to find this lovely campground on Hipcamp. It looks just like the online pictures but better. We camped for 1 night. The campground was easy to find with good directions from the host. Entry was as stated. Top of my camp list is a clean campsite and this campground is beautifully kept. Our site had a view of the roaring magnificent Pacific Ocean through the trees. Gorgeous. It has a stone fire pit and a picnic table and benches. There were two privets within 1 minute walk. Though pits, they were clean but take your own tp. There was a dish clean up area- kept clean, with hot water, I saw a shower but didn’t try it. There is also another shower and privy at the south end close to the beach trail. The camp is full of beautiful, tall trees with large burls. Seems endemic to the area. Very interesting. Signage is good in the camp and you can’t get lost. Campground is close to the 101 but well treed to disperse road noise. Most of the sites we saw were on the edge of a high cliff so kids and pets need to be watched. Beach is gorgeous and stoney. So many humongous driftwood trees. Be careful getting onto beach from trail. Also, tide comes in fast. We only stayed one night and it poured in the night and all morning. We left early but will be going back. It was lovely. This was a great spot for car camping or any kind. Clean, spacious and everything you could need. Fire ring, fire wood, picnic table, potable water, bathrooms and shower. All with an amazing view and walkable to the beach. 100% worth it!

We camped there in March (early season). The staff was really great and friendly! I didn't bring a gas-grill so I asked them for a fire pit grilling grate to cook steaks ... they provided one quickly. The beach is huge, amazing and relaxing, but there were also people not relaxing and surfing the waves instead. The campsites are a little tight/cozy, but the views and time spent on the walking the beach or hiking the nearby trails are worth it.

George took a deep breath and exhaled. He smiled, a twinkle in his eye, and said, "Randy, (dramatic pause), don't worry, {another lengthy pause) don't hurry." We are fortunate to live here, and we want to share the beauty with you. Please stay here and take a moment free of worry and free of hurry. About the hosts: Camas and her father, Randy, co-host this property. One or both will be onsite at all times should any issue arise. Please message if you need a last-minute booking and it appears to be blocked. We can't do an "instant book," but there's always a possibility that we can accommodate you. About the site: This 17-foot 2005 Jay Feather Ultra Lite trailer is clean and cozy - perfect for one or two people. A third person is welcome, but it will likely be a little cramped. The double bed has a memory foam mattress and is made-up with quality sheets. Towels are provided at no extra cost. The kitchen has a 3 burner propane stove and oven, a small fridge, a microwave, and sink. Coffee, tea, tea kettle, French Press, creamer, and sugar are provided, as well as a few dishes, a pot and pan, and utensils. The spring water is sourced directly from our property and filtered, so you can enjoy it from the tap! In my opinion, it's some of the best water around - feel free to fill up before you depart. The site is set back from WA-State Route 106, but only by about 20 yards. There is traffic noise during the day, but it's not too bad, and it is typically pretty quiet at night. Hopefully you enjoy the sounds of wildlife ~ birds, lapping waves, and even a creek add to the experience. A panoramic view of the estuary is one of the best parts of this property. It's dreamy, really. With the tide changing every 6 hours, you just can't get bored. You may fall asleep to tide flats and wake up to what feels like a lake. If you like being on or in the water - bring some kayaks, surf or paddle boards, and some high quality water shoes (never go barefoot!). You will have access to 400 feet of private beach and tide flats. Kayaking is tide dependent - recommendations for paddle times will be in the binder. (Currently closed to harvesting 6/23) If you have your shellfish license, feel free to harvest a few oysters or clams (depending on DOH recommendations) . Be aware - it is a rustic beach, and it is across the highway, so watch for traffic and watch your step on the beach. Our house is within sight of the trailer, but you have to make an effort to see it. From our house, we can only see the parking spot, and due to shrubbery & a shed, we can't hear talking voices, so it is pretty private. We do have 2 very friendly, small dogs who will undoubtedly alert us to your arrival, but they stay on our deck and quiet down right away. A welcome binder and maps will help you get an idea of the area. For a tiny town, Union has a LOT to offer - there are several dining choices within a few miles. Union was even listed in the top 10 "Prettiest Towns in America" in Forbes Magazine in 2009! Learn more about this land: One of a kind view of the Skokomish Estuary and Olympic Mountains. Enjoy a different scene with the changing tide. Bald Eagles, Salmon, Great Herons. One night stays may be optional for an additional fee. Message for more info before booking.
