I loved the campsite—the environment was beautiful and peaceful. The host was friendly and welcoming. The private campground offered much more privacy than a provincial campground. Overall, it was a great experience. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy camping. Just be sure to bring your own toilet and water, as these amenities are not provided.

What an amazing view! Breathtaking. Chris and Jennifer were wonderful hosts. We are new trailer owners and Chris was easy to approach and helpful with some of the issues we ran into. We went in early Spring, so the wind was pretty fierce. But don’t let the wind or weather deter you- just bring an extra layer and don’t miss this view.

We enjoyed our stay @ the vineyard! Renalto was extremely helpful, a warm welcome, and has a great space. The campsites are nice and roomy, not cramped next to other sites which is refreshing with two dogs joining us while we tented. We had a tasting with Renalto & learned about the history of the vineyard.

Weekend Trip to Valhalla Tree Farm

We had such a great time the first time we stayed in the A Frame, that we booked it again. Our girls trip was perfect. The sleeping pads are plenty comfy, and the view is stunning. We brought our own water, but the kitchen had pots and pans already. My friend drove her minivan up the hill, which I was a little surprised, but she made it. I don't recommend it though. 4WD is best. Thank You again Shannon for another great stay.

We had a great stay on Paul’s land. We arrived later and Paul was very helpful and welcoming in showing us his land and what we could utilize while we stayed there! He had great recommendations and the property has a lot to offer, especially for the price point. We noticed on the reviews talking about the toilet/bathroom but we had no issues. Overall, we had such an amazing stay!

Aside from the mind-blowing view and unmatched solitude, you have to drive by the notoriously best-of-Oregon hikes, "Coyote Wall", to even arrive at this Hipcamp. The treehouse offers a memorable sleep on a summer's night, and a memorable view and respite the rest of the year. My 9 year-old loved climbing to the top level to read in the hammock during our trip. The electric hook-up is compatible with a standard RV one. We have a 30 foot setup and to get it in there, we pull left and back up. It can be done, it just takes strategy. Anyways, I *effing* love this place, I have been here twice, I would recommend it to anyone who likes places with a view, who likes Hood River, who has an RV needing electricity and water but no sewage. The bathroom is in a part of the host's land that's under construction. That's ok because we have our own thing. Anyways, I love this place and me and my 9 year-old son will be back. Amenities: small wood fire pit (but fire bans will often be in effect for safety), RV-friendly electric hookup, in structure toilet, no shower, tree house with burner and small refrigerator, potable water, mattress with mosquito net in treehouse, water hookup (not sure if it's potable because we stuck to our own) , easy access to Hood River (via toll bridge) and Coyote Wall.

Nichelle was excellent at communicating with us before and during our stay. We parked our teardrop camper at spot #4 and enjoyed the spectacular views. We were fortunate to be the only campers here this weekend. It was quiet and lovely.

Amazing! Quiet! Reserved! The morning view was incredible and the amenities (kitchenette, sitting room) were amazing, especially since we came early in the season when the rain made it difficult to do much! Paul was incredibly accommodating and the site was perfect. Make sure to read the instructions on everything just in case!

1 night at Rivers Ridge

The view and walking trails were wonderful, the bathroom was a nice plus as well. A little bit less secluded than I originally thought but still had enough privacy. If you’re bringing dogs (or even if you aren’t) be aware there are A LOT of ticks - picked 20+ off of each of my dogs (dead due to their flea/tick prevention). Not anything the host can do about this, but definitely something to note! Overall good experience.

The campsites are at the bottom of a long logging road so an SUV or AWD vehicle are preferable , especially during the wetter seasons. When the property was logged approximately 100 years ago they scooped out gravel from the river to make their roads in the area thus creating the back eddy pool along the beach. A rather peaceful setting, including the rushing sound of the river and the occasional whistle of a train. You will feel refreshed and rejuvenated after you stay at The Landing. Once done my grandma sold tickets to the tourist and my grandpa ran the engine around the 7 acre oval track pulling a train car full of happy tourist through the woods over the train bridge and past the big water tower back to their vehicles so they could finish their journies with a drive to Mt. This campground has 3 sites that share a 1-acre field running parallel to a quiet county road. While the farmhouse is about 450 feet away, there is a tree canopy of giant White Oaks that provides some privacy from it. Unfiltered spring water is available at water spigots near camp as well as at the farmstand but guests are encouraged to purify water for drinking or bring their own drinking water. Please note that the campsites are situated along a county road, so occasional traffic will be seen and heard. Overall, the campsite offers a pleasant outdoor experience with access to various recreational opportunities . This camp is placed the amongst the great White Oaks of the quaint and charming Hillbilly Farm that rests in the heart of the Scenic Columbia River Gorge. This property is a mix of woods made of ancient oaks and Maple and grassy fields full of wildflowers in spring and has several points that offer views of the Columbia river and Mt. Hood . It also has a seasonal farm stand filled with produce and products that are all grown, raised or made right here on this farm. Additionally, there is a 1 acre garden for you to stroll thru with a U-pick salad bar and from the tomato and herb garden. It's only 20 minutes from town but far enough to enjoy the peaceful and serene offerings of nature. The property has a 20 x 60' covered picnic area, a large beach suitable for swimming in summer and fall, and it is also a world-class fishing spot. It has unlimited mountain trails and logging roads for ATVs, mountain bikers/hikers and with Class I - IV rapids, is also a fantastic area for whitewater kayaking and rafting. The national kayaking team trains just up from us and Chilliwack River Rafting is very close by. We occasionally host weddings in the meadow and covered picnic area as well. Your QUIET, well-mannered, leashed (at all times) pet is welcome as long as you pick up after them. There is a minimum of 3 nights on long weekends. Children MUST be accompanied by a parent at all times! We are in a very sensitive, natural environment & want it left exactly as you found it so it can be enjoyed by others. We've unfortunately had children cutting down small trees, ripping moss & bark off of trees & damaging playground equipment. For some reason Hipcamp doesn't show my individual sites, so I will list them here. About a quarter mile away from the Highway and railroad - you can hear the train in the distance but it is not right close to you like many others in this area. NOTE: The trailer kept on sight is not available. There are 2-3 piles of wood and building materials - perhaps covered with a tarp - please leave those alone. Roof to be completed soon. The original Buckminster Fuller geodome home was built back in the 1970s, and the outbuildings and garden spaces were later added on as the property changed hands over the decades. Secluded private site centrally located just a mile from Interstate 5, and 6 miles from the Interstate 5 / Hwy 205 intersection so most places in Clark County are less that 20 minutes away. Located 10 minutes from ilani Casino, 5 minutes from the Clark County Fairgrounds and amphitheater, and less than 30 minutes from some of the nicest freshwater lakes around. Hosts are avid Flyboarders, Jetskiers, Paraglider Pilots, and Stuart has been climbing since the late 1900's (1974 and up... back in the era where if it couldn't be nailed it couldn't be climbed). This is a secluded, Park Like property with walking trails all the way around it, and some interesting things for kids to spot, especially up Fairy Lane. Walking access is permitted, but you must keep pets on leash and keep an eye on your kids. In the dry season, typically May through the end of September, fires are not allowed, and plese USE EXTREME CAUTION IF YOU CHOOSE TO SMOKE ONSITE. If you are one of those who just tosses your butts in the underbrush, you will be asked to leave for the safety of our property and guests. There is no smoking allowed inside the cabin, bathroom, or anywhere near the sawmill, or any area North of it. There is an active sawmill onsite IES-Sawmill.com. People are welcome to visit, but equipment has the right of way and may not see you. Please avoid the log decks, and especially don't allow children to play on them, as logs can roll at any time. Some of the equipment is big, heavy, and doesn't have the greatest visibility if people walk up un-noticed. Always ensure that the operator sees you, and don't place yourself anywhere where a log that comes loose could run you down. Operating Equipment always has the right of way. There is a climbing wall on the North side of the machine shop. If you are an experienced climber with a partner to belay you can the appropriatte gear, you are welcome to use the wall, please let us know first. If the hosts have time, you may be able to convince them to give you a lesson. We are changing the anchors on our ziplines, so they are not available for use at this time. There is a public bathroom in the middle of the property beside the tree fort. It's well lit and open 24 hours a day. It has a flush toilet and a cold water sink and COLD water shower. The water comes out of the ground year round at about 60 degrees so it's a chilly shower. If you need a hot shower, renting the cabin is your best bet as it comes with a private bath that has a hot shower. We try to keep rules to a minimum, but people seem to find creative ways to cause issues. Please park outside the yellow gate in the parking areas noted on the map. Please park on gravel and DON'T DRIVE OFF THE GRAVEL ROADS ONTO THE GRASS. Anita hates it, as you can cause a fire in the summer, and leave muddy ruts in the wet seasons. If you're driving through the trees, you're doing something wrong. There is plenty of wildlife on the property especially in the couple hours before dark.
