Red Hawk Stables

Located in Sequim, Washington, Red Hawk Stables is the closest Harvest Hosts location to Olympic National Park. This facility offers guided horseback trail riding at a variety of price points, as well as pony rides for younger children. They also have a petting zoo, complete with chickens, pigs, ducks, horses, rabbits, goats, and geese. They have two pet-friendly spaces for RVs under twenty-nine feet in length, and plenty of tent spots. Don’t miss this awesome location when going to or coming from Olympic! August thru September is wild blackberry season, and the campground is surrounded by them. Feel free to pick them! When you arrive, take the very first left (theres a metal welcome sign with a pink ribbon 🎀, not the driveway that says "no trespassing") and follow the driveway between the two horse pastures, down and around to the lower grassy parking area where the pigs and goat pen are (sharp left to big barn). Feel free to pet / feed produce scraps you may have to goats / pigs. You can bring treats such as carrots and apples for the horses too, but mind the teeth on all critters! (We're in winter season and there is on going projects but the camp sites are still open for the time being) Twin Beach Campground is outside of Joyce Washington near Port Angeles in Clallam County. The camp sites are directly across the street from Twin Beach. It has 5 numbered spots available with private fire pits and picnic tables in each site for you to set up camp whether it's a tent or van/camper with picnic benches and fire pits. There is a small communal shack where you can prepare your meals. Fire pit available for communal use - so don't forget to bring ingredients for s'mores! Interaction with host or other guests completely up to you! Humans of all ages welcome. Once you have fully settled in - less than a min walk away there is access to a river (river showers welcome) and almost as close by you'll find the beach - surf, swim or just sit with some great views! There is a laundromat, small convenient store and gas station only 10 min away. 30 min drive in to Port Angeles where you'll find a great small town with great food, antique stores and shops. Find great breakfast at Oak Table cafe in Sequim and Chestnut Cottage Restaurant in Port Angeles are just of the great options available. Bike trails just short drives away. Lake crescent and hikes for all levels and distances all within a 45 min drive if not less! Feel free to ask for suggestions and message with any questions as well.

The shop is a working facility for site construction. But don't let the word "construction" fool you. It is a peaceful location located in a beautiful valley along the Bogachiel river with easy access off Highway 101. We purchased the property a couple years ago, cleaned it up, and realized it was a beautiful location for RV parking. After several folks stopped by to see if they could park here we decided to make it official. There are forests to explore around the shop and our daughter owns Virago Camp just below us. You can access the river for swimming or fishing. RV and Trailer parking available. Overlanders very welcome! Partially wooded site with views looking over a large meadow and the Bogachiel River. We offer 10 sites, all with potable water, wifi, picnic tables, trash disposal, toilets, an area for campfires (outside of any burn ban), and we are pet friendly! Centrally located for easy access to Olympic Peninsula sites including La Push, Forks, Hoh River, Hoh Rainforest, Kalaloch, and upper Bogachiel trails.
