1 night at Shadow Mountain Campground

Cute, great view of the surrounding area. You definitely hear the sound of cars driving by. The bathrooms were very nice and clean and heated. I think the post is a little misleading saying max 4 people, since there was only two cots. I only bring it up since I was scouting the place for possibly bringing my kids with me on the next time but they would probably not be the most comfortable sharing a cot. It seems like a great spot for couples or solo travelers like myself. A lot of great hikes nearby and sol duc hot springs.

My friends and I had a wonderful stay at Shadow Mountain Campground. The owners of this campground were super helpful and accommodating, fixing the lights in the pitch black and bringing us a heater, firewood, and towels when the rain had soaked the tent carpet. Would absolutely recommend!

Weekend Trip to sol duc rainforest retreat

Beautiful location! We were originally going to camp for 2 nights, but due to the rain we had to cut it short so we only stayed for 1 night. The whole campground is very well thought out, there are full kitchens with stove and utensils that we used and clean bathrooms. There was a shower with warm enough water, but we didn’t use it. I would def come back when the weather is better!

We were very excited to find this lovely campground on Hipcamp. It looks just like the online pictures but better. We camped for 1 night. The campground was easy to find with good directions from the host. Entry was as stated. Top of my camp list is a clean campsite and this campground is beautifully kept. Our site had a view of the roaring magnificent Pacific Ocean through the trees. Gorgeous. It has a stone fire pit and a picnic table and benches. There were two privets within 1 minute walk. Though pits, they were clean but take your own tp. There was a dish clean up area- kept clean, with hot water, I saw a shower but didn’t try it. There is also another shower and privy at the south end close to the beach trail. The camp is full of beautiful, tall trees with large burls. Seems endemic to the area. Very interesting. Signage is good in the camp and you can’t get lost. Campground is close to the 101 but well treed to disperse road noise. Most of the sites we saw were on the edge of a high cliff so kids and pets need to be watched. Beach is gorgeous and stoney. So many humongous driftwood trees. Be careful getting onto beach from trail. Also, tide comes in fast. We only stayed one night and it poured in the night and all morning. We left early but will be going back. It was lovely. A great spot located well with lots to do in the area! The check in process was very easy and all employees I interacted with were super helpful and kind. Campsites were clean, and facilities on site/campsites were great for the price. Having the general store there is also very convenient, they had a great selection and fair pricing for the area.

This was a great spot for car camping or any kind. Clean, spacious and everything you could need. Fire ring, fire wood, picnic table, potable water, bathrooms and shower. All with an amazing view and walkable to the beach. 100% worth it!

2 nights at Crescent Beach & RV

We camped there in March (early season). The staff was really great and friendly! I didn't bring a gas-grill so I asked them for a fire pit grilling grate to cook steaks ... they provided one quickly. The beach is huge, amazing and relaxing, but there were also people not relaxing and surfing the waves instead. The campsites are a little tight/cozy, but the views and time spent on the walking the beach or hiking the nearby trails are worth it.

2 nights at Shadow Mountain Campground

We had a jeep with a pop-up tent on top and it was perfect for the campsite. Bathrooms were really clean and showers got warm. General store had everything you’d need. Lights and campsite were super cute.

1 night at Olympic Adventure Campground

Definitely recommend staying here at least one night if you’re planning a trip. I would have loved to stay much longer though. Super super friendly and helpful.

The road noise wasn't a bother, cute campsite, bathrooms are brand new and very nice. $2 for both washer and dryer, and check your machine before using it. No change machine, so bring your quarters from town. We were staying as we were passing through from Forks to Port Angeles, so we didn't get to do much in Lake Crescent/Sol Duc/Snug Cove, but it was in a good place for it!

Olympic Adventure Campground is available to Both RV's & Tent Camping. Our Camp is situated on a little more than 5 acres out of our 18 acres of Dense Enormous Evergreen Forest in the Olympic temperate rain forest region. It is next to the road on Highway 101 but still offers our guests the wilderness experience and semi-privacy with tall trees surrounding the camp. We recommend that our guests use GPS to find Forks, WA, First. Once you find Forks, you will be able to find our camp. Helpful Hints: If you are traveling from the South side of town: We are only a Half Mile from the Northbound Edge of town on the Right. If you are traveling from the North side: Watch for milepost number 193. This means you are very close. Our camp will be on the left. Our sites were spaced to offer guests plenty of "Elbow Room". Check-in: 1pm-9pm Check-out 11am Camp Office Hours: 7am - 7pm Daily: May-September. October-April: Call as Needed: 360-460-7475 Electric Vehicles: Please remember to pack your EV adapter power cord. Please call when the office is closed to arrange a time during the Off-Peak Season: September through April. Our team is committed to helping make our guests time at our camp a pleasant one. From your mossy bank perched above the panoramic Pacific, beneath burley spruce tree boughs, magic sunsets unfold at your own super-private and secluded campsite with fire-pit. Adjacent to Olympic National Park, this is the same beach and bluff that defines Kalaloch, LaPush and and other wild Washington coastal icons. As the stewards of this land, we are now inviting respectful and responsible small groups and families to share its beauty.
