Batwater Station on Columbia River

Batwater Station is located halfway between Portland and the Oregon Coast on the Columbia River. A private refuge where river otter, beaver, mink, muskrat, seals, raccoons along with threatened Columbia river white tailed deer can be seen. Property has 1,000 feet of boat docks, river deck, and pier. At the pier is a full kitchen, heated bathroom and shower room. Included are 2 outhouses, a fire pit for summer months, a viewing station overlooking the wetlands along with brick charcoal fired barbecue and another propane barbecue. We are committed to your privacy so guests are limited and spread out. High speed internet through out the property. Batwater worked with several agencies when we breeched a levee and flooded 26 acres for salmon and wildlife habitat. Hike along the wetlands and see beaver dams and dens. Batwater is also home for many types of birds including eagles, osprey, tree swallow, purple martins, barn swallows, wood ducks, common and hooded mergansers, mallards, scoots, scaups, grebes, cormorants, great egrets, blue herons, geese and many types of song birds . In the spring and summer see our returning osprey who have. nested on our dock since 2013. There are now 2 osprey platform since a pair of Canada geese choose that as their nesting site as well. Some bald eagles winter here but we have our resident bald eagles Hep and Hope. They arrived in 2003 to start their nest on Crims Island. They still nest there although there old nest tree collapsed in 2020. Many birds migrate here for the winter. Common mammals are river otter, mink, muskrat, raccoons, nutria, coyotes, black tailed and threatened Colombia White Tailed deer. We also are home to native turtles and frogs. Batwater is a working farm with cattle feeding on lush pastures, 2 retired horses and chickens. When eggs are available, we will share some with you. Batwater is a great place to kayak, canoe, paddle board or row during the summer months. We have windy afternoons for windsurfers or sailors. The Columbia River is well known for salmon, and sturgeon. For an extra fee you can moor your larger boat while visiting. There are a volley ball and badminton set ups along with horse shoes during the summer months. We suggest swimming during the summer months when the tide is coming in or slack. You can also walk or drive down to Mayger beach which is popular with locals. There are sandy beaches on Crims island that you can paddle over too. Check out the pictures for more information.

Our beachin camp is located on the Longbeach, Washington Peninsula. It's a dry camp, for now. It's less than a half mile to the ocean. We have four sites available. Each site has a cute cinder block firepit. Its perfect for RV's or tent sites. As you turn onto the property you will be met with a gate. To identify the correct property you will see two small brick pillars at the entrance. Please be sure the keep the gate closed when not in use. Upon entering the gate, our campsites are located along the LEFT-hand side and are distinguishable by the 4 built-in block firepits. (Please note: the campsites along the right-hand side that are nearest to the cell tower are not operated by us.) Pack out what you pack in. All trash must be removed at check out. Jack's Country Store offers garbage drop off for a small fee. There is a small park with a restroom located a couple blocks away that is usually open for public use. Sites are …… as you drive in first to right in number 1, 2, 3 . 4 is last one to right after cell tower driveway it is now open as an open play area. ( Left hand side is another Hipcamp host they are marked A, B, C, D ) Porta Potty is for my campers it has a combo lock This combo will come to you as automatic message 24hrs prior to arrival time. All sites have a picnic table Site 1 and 3 have fire pits. Site 1,3 have campground style BBQ New as of June, 2023 porta potty added. DO NOT put garbage or transfer any waste to porta potty. Jacks Country store in Ocean Park, WA has garbage drop off for small fee depending on size. See in photos FYI FUTURE: We will be adding new fire pits to all sites.

Where do I even begin? This place has everything! Trees, gardens, wildlife, a creek, beautiful star filled skies, chickens, farm cats, rv spots, tent spots, air BnB, and Dan. I’m pretty sure Dan and my wife became best friends. He showed us all around the property, showing us all of the beautiful foods and flowers they grow, the history of the property, and took us on walks by the creek for agate hunting and cedar branches to make walking sticks. Waking in the morning to the sound of the trees rustling and the birds chirping was the cherry on top. For those tent camping or not equipped with a bathroom, they’ve thought of everything! There’s a camper bathroom with shower, toilet, sink, and laundry! I could go on and on. David was very thoughtful and checked in regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. If you love nature, great conversation, with thoughtful amenities, this is your place. We will definitely return!

What a great spot! Very private, clean and lots of room to run around. The only hiccup was the path to the beach was flooded out and we had to drive to the beach so make sure to note when going it hasn’t rained excessively. Even with the trail blocked, it was super easy to drive to the beach and the seclusion was worth it!

Site #5 is quiet and private with an elevated view of the water. Even with two of the other sites occupied, it was so peaceful, hearing more of the waves than the neighbors. Being able to walk straight onto the beach was lovely. The beach itself is very clean and private. Dual access gates were a huge plus, very convenient for coming and going. Overall wonderful location to quickly access Westport and only an hour from Ocean Shores. We also noticed the dumpster was carefully tendency to. Somehow never overflowing but we never saw or heard it being emptied. Local highlights: Blackbeard's Brewing in Westport. We loved everything we ordered. Kid and dog friendly. There are two locations, one being a taproom that's 21+ so make sure you choose the right one for your outing. Bay City Sausage Co. Save your sausage and jerky shopping until you get here, everything was phenomenal and they have stuff for your pooch. Hoquiam Brewing in Hoquiam. Probably some of the most unique and fun beers around. Menu was varied and they have great pizza.

Yurt was great, warm and comfortable. This is our 5th trip to the property and as always we enjoyed everything about this peacful retreat. From Karin and her husband to their sweet dog Molly. Enjoyed all of the birds including Osprey nesting right in front of the yurt. Simply watching the river go by and reading to the sounds of nature.

We stayed in spot #4 in the grass at RV+ Rainbow Falls / Willapa Trails, and it was a fantastic trip! The grassy site gave us an incredible view of the night sky—stars were out in full force, and we spent hours just soaking it in. The RV spots were extremely wide, which made setting up super easy and gave us plenty of room to spread out. We loved hiking the trails on the property—they were a blast for us and our dogs, who couldn’t get enough of them. Along the way, we spotted deer, a small snake, and even a beautiful trillium bloom in the forest, which felt like a little gift from nature. Dunn Creek runs through the property, and we could hear it from our campsite, adding such a peaceful vibe. The whole farm was clean and well-kept, which we really appreciated. Dan, the host, was awesome. He stopped by twice to check on us, always with a smile, and he’s seriously knowledgeable about the forest—answered all our questions like a pro. He made us feel right at home and was a huge part of why we enjoyed our stay so much. It was a great spot for our dogs too—they thrived out there on the trails. All in all, a top-notch place to park the RV and unwind. We’d definitely come back—thanks, Dan, for being such a great host!

Twisted Tree Camp s a 13 acre property about 5 miles north of Long Beach, Washington. The property is long and skinny, we have built road that accesses the back of the property. The campsite is in the middle of the woods, you can wake up to many birds singing and no neighbors in sight. In the evening you can listen to the frogs singing while you stare at th campfire. The road winds thru the trees and this is not suitable for vehicles longer than 23 feet or wider than 8 feet. There are multiple twisted trees along the road as you drive in to the campsite. We have recently built the road to the campsite at the back of the land so there is still evidence of recent construction along the road. There are two cameras on site - one at the entrance along Pacific Way and one by the campsite at the end of the road. Cameras are there to monitor the site after hipcampers have left and will not be on while campers have rented the space.

St. Helens, & Olympic National Park, just 3 minutes from Rainbow Falls State Park and 4 minutes from Willapa Biking Trail! We are located on top of Bunker Hill nestled between the Dunn creek and Chehalis river. Our property is 56 acres of mixed biomes including multi-generational forests, open meadows, and creek side trails. We are located right off Chandler Road, off of Highway 6. You turn onto Labri road (white sign) and you're on the property after going through a gate. Meander down the road past a red barn and several buildings on your right. Through the second gate, the dispersed camping site offers various sites for camping attached to a main trail that parallels the Dunn creek down to the Chehalis river. They are conveniently accessible off the logging roads which cross with Labri road after you've passed through the second gate. If you take the logging road to the left (look for a blue and white ribbon) you will come up to a tree line where you can park (another blue and white ribbon) and either take the trail to the left or right where you will find ample places to camp. You may camp along the trail or closer to the creek. The most ideal spot is right after you park near the blue and white ribbon if you walk North you'll see a site marked with an orange and white ribbon. This site has easy access to the creek but is still on a hill. There are four RV spots with full onsite hook-up. Two of the RV sites are paved and lit with ground lights and are prioritized for heavier rigs. The other two sites are on grass. We have two RV sites with no hook up (boondocking) but bathroom and shower access. We do not allow dumping of grey water or sewage at our property but there is a dump station just 1 minute away at Rainbow Falls State Park. The site is located on a hill so you get very nice view of sunsets and sunrises. For those who enjoy bird watching the nearby fruit trees bring in many birds. We are an ideal location for those who love the outdoors or just want to have private family events. 6 mi from Jones Creek Brewing, 7 mi from Evey's Cafe & Pe Ell, 20 mi from I-5, 69 mi Westport Quiet hours are from 11pm - 8am.

There are no "lights out" or "quiet times" for you to worry about. Large open space for camping with friends and family to gather and enjoy each others company.  Dogs are able to be leash free and enjoy the space as well. Only a ten min private walk to the ocean through the dunes to enjoy beautiful sandy beaches, kite flying, picnics on the beach, day camping, amazing sunsets and so much more. Rubber boots (maybe some waders, depending on the winter) are recommended for the hike to the beach during the winter months (November-May) as you will have a small trek through seasonal wet lands. You may also access the beach/ocean by vehicle just a few minutes away in town.  You will be located between the Quinault Casino and the City of Ocean Shores where you can enjoy all the wonderful activities there is to offer.  If kayaking, canoeing or paddle boarding is what you are seeking, many are unaware of the 23 miles of scenic canals in the City of Ocean Shores.  You may also fish for bass, rainbow trout, yellow perch and bluegill sunfish in these waterways.   I hear there are a couple little Islands to explore as well.  What a hidden treasure! There are three launch sites available we can give if needed.  And if you left something at home, sitting there thinking he was going to grab it (haha) no worries, you more than likely can grab it in town. The property remains beautiful throughout the year as the waters change. If you are late fall/winter/early spring campers, swimming is not advised, and children and pets should be watched closely. Park your camper or pitch a tent then Drift Away on this beautiful property. Surrounding trees and natural coastal flora offer SEMI- privacy and a woodsy feel. Only 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive to town and beach access! Stop in at Docs for a drink, Okies for Groceries, Eagles Fraternity for a good time and several other restaurants are close by. Go for a drive on the Long Beach peninsula. Only 15 minute drive from the Famous town of Long Beach. Dig some Oysters at the Nahcotta Tidelands, catch a charter for some deep sea fishing or check out the local fish market at Oysterville Sea Farms! The oysters on a half shell and squid salad are to die for! We now offer POWER (50 amp, 30 amp, 120) and water for 3 sites. There is still plenty of room for tents as well! Please note this property is 3/4 gravel for stable RV camping so if you are using tents you will need cots or something heavy duty to keep you comfortable. This space is great for a large group looking for a beachy good time or a small group seeking a private get away! Please be mindful of our neighbors and keep a quiet time of 10pm -8am. Some of our neighbors have dogs...And they sometimes bark...Which I can not control. The camp is also located on a main residential road and people drive on it..Again i can not control how loud the vehicles are or if they backfire. PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO SEWER HOOKUPS! Please provide your own toileting accommodations.

We are not "officially" open yet, but if you have been here before and you think you would enjoy being here during rainy season, please send us a message stating your wishes and we will open up the dashboard for you to book and camp with us "off-season" (maybe even stay in our yurt!!!). We hope you will come enjoy the refreshing privacy and quiet of camping on our beautiful, small-scale, organic farm. This is a great place to get away from the scattered urgency of modern life. We want you to reconnect with what matters most and get some new inspiration! We are 25 minutes west of I-5, halfway between Seattle and Portland. Pacific Ocean beaches are 1.5 hours away. Our guests love the near-by swimming hole, shared fire areas, fresh produce and clean outhouses. Meeting the farm animals, napping in the hammocks, mastering the rope swing and wandering the many paths are also memory-makers. Some of our "extras" -- Farm Tours, Propane Firebowls, Saunas, and more -- are available for purchase when you make your booking. ALL SITES have flat tent spots, a picnic table, hammock, sun, shade, outhouse access and room to park. Sites are 300 feet apart, on average. More details about each site can be seen in the listing. {PLEASE NOTE that some photos have been uploaded by guests and are not actually posted in relation with the correct site #.} If you are un-sure WHICH ONE to choose, send a message describing your "party" and desired experience. We will help you select a site.
