Complete with 4 RV hook-ups offering 30/50 AMP + water service and 4 tent only sites, you can enjoy this slice of unique Washington wonderland with your whole family. Rustic and remote, you will feel instant peace and relaxation as you arrive. Just over an hour east of Seattle sits our beautiful property. It's an easy and beautiful drive on I-90 all the way, then a short drive to the property. Being on the east side of the Cascades, this campground is almost always sunnier than the city, warmer in the summer, and snowier in the winter. But the riverfront is where the true magic is. Fly fishing and bird watching heaven! Many hours have been spent relaxing in, on, or near the river with friends, family, and dogs. It's always changing, always alive, and that's why we love it. If you need supplies, groceries or a restaurant, the town of Ellensburg is just 13 minutes away, and the fun town of Cle Elum/Suncadia resort with its restaurants and the Swiftwater Winery, is about 22 minutes away. Remote yet connected! Our property amenities include a shared, central fire pit & gazebo/table/chairs for all guests to use. There is a flush toilet available on site (however no shower or laundry access). Our site is intentionally rustic and we can't wait to share it with others who love being outdoors with nature. Whistlin' Pine Ranch Resort

17 sites ¡ Lodging, RVs, Tents500 acres ¡ Pateros, WA
Exquisitely beautiful area formed by melting glaciers forming the "Alta Coulee". The campground is situated at the South end of Alta Lake, opened in 1946 and operated by my Grandparents until 1980, when my father decided to continue operations adding Outfitting and Guide services into the Pasayten and Sawtooth Wilderness areas. Covid put a halt on business for a few years, but we are back and making some gradual upgrades and changes to offer camping and horseback riding experiences again! The lake is 220 acres known to Anglers near and far. Plenty of room for the sunseekers wanting to play in the water on paddle boards, kayaks, jet skis, and water skiing. An 18-hole Golf Course resides at the North end of the lake and white water rafting just a few miles down the hill on the Methow River. Must book horseback riding in advance. We offer free Wi fi to guests near the office only.

Where to go

The Yakima Valley

South of Leavenworth, the Yakima Valley area offers around 300 days of sunshine per year, making it ideal for hiking and river rafting. This area is also home to over 100 wineries, as well as cultural attractions celebrating the arts and Yakama Nation traditions.

Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest

Spanning across the eastern slopes of the Cascade Mountains, this expansive national forest encompasses over 1.7 million acres, with six wilderness areas within its boundaries. While backpacking to remote areas is a popular way to explore the area, there are also plenty of developed campgrounds to choose from.

Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest

On the western side of the Cascades, extending from Mount Rainier National Park all the way up to the Canadian border, this massive national forest is popular throughout the year, attracting locals and out-of-state visitors alike. Expect fantastic skiing and winter sports opportunities in the winter months and excellent camping in the warmer season.

When to go

Leavenworth is at its most charming in the weeks leading up to Christmas, with a holiday market and light displays to mark the season. The yuletide cheer continues well into the new year, but with fewer crowds. If you want to go camping (or are planning on driving over the Cascade Mountains and don’t want to risk getting stuck in a winter blizzard), late spring to early fall make an ideal alternative, with pleasant (but never hot) temperatures.
