We loved camping at Dale & Wendy’s place! The sites were very nice and felt super secluded. Quiet at night with beautiful dark skies & close to all the beaches along the coast of Olympic! The tide pools were amazing! Dale was a great host; super friendly, incredibly kind & made our stay very comfortable! The property is beautiful too!

What a great spot! Very private, clean and lots of room to run around. The only hiccup was the path to the beach was flooded out and we had to drive to the beach so make sure to note when going it hasn’t rained excessively. Even with the trail blocked, it was super easy to drive to the beach and the seclusion was worth it!

Amazing location. Great for larger groups and plenty of room for the kids and dogs to run around. Definitely be mindful of wildlife in the area as we came across a few forest friends while visiting. Can’t wait to come again!

Site #5 is quiet and private with an elevated view of the water. Even with two of the other sites occupied, it was so peaceful, hearing more of the waves than the neighbors. Being able to walk straight onto the beach was lovely. The beach itself is very clean and private. Dual access gates were a huge plus, very convenient for coming and going. Overall wonderful location to quickly access Westport and only an hour from Ocean Shores. We also noticed the dumpster was carefully tendency to. Somehow never overflowing but we never saw or heard it being emptied. Local highlights: Blackbeard's Brewing in Westport. We loved everything we ordered. Kid and dog friendly. There are two locations, one being a taproom that's 21+ so make sure you choose the right one for your outing. Bay City Sausage Co. Save your sausage and jerky shopping until you get here, everything was phenomenal and they have stuff for your pooch. Hoquiam Brewing in Hoquiam. Probably some of the most unique and fun beers around. Menu was varied and they have great pizza.

Wonderful location with plenty of space for several tents and vehicles! We have a group of 5 with 4 cars, one overlander, and we had plenty of room with space to spare. Definitely will rent this space again next time we are on the cost. Close to ocean shores. Enjoyed a fire on the beach. Great spot!

Camp Cushman was the perfect weekend escape in our poptop van! Well maintained and secluded in the woods, we enjoyed starlite nights and the sounds of birds and frogs (and occasional chainsaw in the distance). With Wifi, bathroom with plumbing, and outdoor kitchen sink, this is glamping at its finest. Byron was a great host, and quick to respond. We will definitely be returning.

3 nights at Hoh River Campsites

Large campsites with plenty of level surface area for setting up tents or vehicle camping. Each campsite is unique and surrounded by trees and beautiful scenery and sounds. For site 4, you have a nice level gravel area to setup camp and also a large grass field, which is perfect for the kids. There's also a beautiful river rock fire pit and picnic bench nestled in the back corner of the site with a path leading to it. There are plenty of trails on the property to explore and many nearby by. The hosts are incredible, and the location is perfect for exploring along the olympic coast and hoh rain forest area. We come every year and it's one of our all time favorite places to camp.

Had a quiet, private stay and enjoyed beautiful weather. Firewood had been left at the site, and soap by the sink was a nice touch! Be prepared for a steep but gorgeous walk down to the Sacred Lowlands and beach.

Rainbow ridge itself is largely comprised of the three houses on property as well as the surrounding woodlands. Its area spans fifty acres of elevated terrain surrounded by a forest creek (where crawdads can be found). The camping area is on about five acres of the property and is populated by alders and evergreens, making it a wonderful place to connect with nature. It's a beautiful area sure to soothe the soul. A short but captivating nature trail is open to campers who are interested in a walk up the gentle hill. We do have a worm composting toilet and water available for washing. A new hot shower will be available. A couple of more sites are in the plans. Nearby is the quaint town of Montesano. Lake Sylvia is there for those looking to discover one of our lovely state parks. Closer by, there is a river with boat launch that runs down and through Montesano for people who want to swim, fish, float, or boat. Montesano's central location in Grays Harbor allows it to serve as a wonderful base of operations for those looking to explore more of the coast, and northwestern peninsula. The way up to Rainbow Ridge is a short winding driveway of somewhat steep grade, delivery trucks have no problems, so if you have a small camper or less, you should be fine.

When the wind is low, you can hear the ocean from your site, and it is about a 10 minute walk down a well-maintained public access path to get to the beach. If you visit during spring, there may be times when the beach access trail is swampy, and you have to go around the block to get around it. There are many nearby places to access the beach within a short drive. We are located on state Route 105, so there is some traffic with road noise. Both spots sit back away from the road a good distance. There is a privacy fence along the road with gates. Homesteaders came here in 1890, prior to that there was no human habitation. A perfect base camp to explore the many varied facets of the West side of the Olympic Peninsula. The campsites are on acreage of a very small off-grid farm. Relax and forget the stress. There are 6 tent sites and 2 small RV sites. Toilets are available, as well as trash bins, potable water, and picnic tables. We do not allow pets. Guests love staying here: "This spot was everything we were hoping for and more! Awesome location near everything in Quinault. Received a fun, short tour of the property from our hosts who are incredibly nice. The campsite was tidy and exactly what we imagined. Plenty of room between us and our neighbors, and we barely knew that they were there. The outhouse is basic but clean and charming. Imagine the friendliness of staying at a distant cousin's organic farm, with the facilities of a top-notch campsite. Only regret was that we were crashing there quickly, and weren't able to stay longer and relax on-site. If the description on the website seems like what you're looking for, I would highly recommend this location."

The "Feathered Refuge" is an RV site located in the middle of 3 acres of solitude. This site is a rare find: your own private campground! If you are longing for complete quiet and privacy accompanied by the hoots of barred owls and the tweets of finches and camp robbers, you have found respite! You may even glimpse an occasional bald eagle. The camp-site is graveled and 24 feet long and approximately 10 feet wide. The way up is a bit of an adventure. Located on a low- elevation mountain ( 1700 feet elevation for the site), it is three miles of a windy dirt- and- traveled road. You will need 4WD or AWD with a lot of clearance. The site is located behind two locked gates, so the owner will greet you at the gate to the mountain. If you do not have the appropriate vehicle and wish to tent- camp, there is a site available for that as well, and arrangements can be made for parking at another property the owner has at the base of the mountain, for an additional fee of $30. (please bring cash or we can use paypal, as Hipcamp does not allow add-ons.) A porta-potty is provided, and you have access to the owner's patio for cooking or relaxing (between 3-7 PM). The site comes with a guest pass to the coveted Lake Cushman area, 2 lakes and several boat launches. The pass also provides access to the nice and clean showers at one of the two parks. Hoodsport is in an ideal location: 45 minutes north of Olympia, or two hours from Seattle, it's an easy and beautiful drive. It is also the Gateway to the Staircase area of the Olympic National Park, one of the top eight things to do in the " Pearl of the Northwest." Places to eat: Honeybee Pizzeria and Grinder, Hoodsport coffee company (best ice- cream outside of Seattle, with " Olympic Mountain ice- cream"), and the best Mexican food for miles is 25 minutes away in Union, WA, at "2 Margaritas." They have great karaoke! There is also a fabulous music scene in Union. During the day you can walk the three-mile loop around from our driveway, OR you can go through our two locked gates (with the owner and their key) to go climb Staircase (25 ms away) or head to Hood canal for some fishing or to Hoodsport for the incredible Olympic Mountain ice-cream Amenities: a. Patio: You can use the owner's patio during the day (9 AM -12:00 PM and 3:00-7:00 PM) to relax in style or to grill your meal ($15 add-on for cleaning the grill and providing the propane). b. There is a porta potty available c. You have access to the Lake Cushman lakes and full restroom with showers (Lake Cushman or Lake Kokanee), when attended by the owner through the gateson Dow Mountain. c. You will be given a guest pass by the owner for the duration of your stay, when provided a $75 refundable cash deposit for the pass (paypal is also accepted). d. Small boat parking: there is secondary parking available at a lot on pavement which you can leave over-night for an additional fee of $30/ night. Please note: You will need a 4wd for your truck as the road from the pavement is a gravel road 3 miles long.

Located in Copalis Beach WA, you are close to Griffith Priday state park and natural area and a general store right down the road for all your needs while you're away from home. Pacific Beach and Ocean Shores are just 15 min away but you will feel like you are in a much more secluded setting. Use this as a basecamp to explore some of the rain forests up north or use it as a premier clamming destination. The site has a gravel driveway that is aprox 75' long and 14-16' wide. In the winter all vehicles and RV's must stay on the designated driveway. In the summer the grass in the front and sandy beach soil around the firepit can be used for other activities. This is a beach paradise and listening to the surf as you go to sleep is always a wonderful experience. There is no toilet on site. Tent campers must dispose of their waste accordingly and all trash must be packed out.
